Many Christians struggle over whether we should be singing imprecatory psalms in our current age of grace. Should we be singing, "Blessed shall he be who takes your little ones and dashes them against the rock" (Ps 137:9)? One major theme in the book of psalms that helps us to understand why we should sing imprecatory psalms is affirmation of the sovereign rule of God over all things.
