Episode description

I had William Haskell on the podcast today and it's interesting - all of these podcasts I do have common threads running through them which you can pick up, in this case, it happens to be one that I hear from many artists. Somewhere early on in their lives, they had an art teacher or mentor that affected them greatly. William find's his own commonality which helped him find his artistic voice.

William took an off-the-beaten-path approach to become an artist, working in graphics and illustration for 15 years before deciding he was ready to become a full-time painter. For him, it was the tragedy of September 11th, 2001 that made him have that 'aha' moment.

We talk about what's to come for William as well as the wisdom he has for other artists struggling to break into the art world. I'm thrilled to also represent William Haskell who has a unique sensibility and style that no one else really paints. I think you'll find this podcast to be especially interesting if you're an artist trying to break into the field but have yet to take that jump- that leap of faith yet. William Haskell took it and if you listen to this podcast, maybe it will encourage you to do the same.
