Episode description

There are many great opportunities within Winona to expand your skills towards your career. Whether that be creating music, shooting video, or simply dancing till your legs fall off. But where do you start? How do you know what is right for you?

This week we talked with Jen Oswald, Director of the Summer Education Programs, and Emma Bucknam, House Manager for GRSF 2022. Jen & Emma talk with us about the Youth Apprenticeship Program, how to get involved with GRSF, and why EVERYBODY loves Shakespeare. Emma also talks with us about how important joining GRSF was and the skills she has learned from the job that college doesn’t teach her. So turn on the lights, get in character, and set the stage as we learn more about the Youth Apprenticeship Program together. I’m Max Ackman, and up next is KQAL’s Bill Stoneberg with Jen Oswald and Emma Bucknam, TODAY on Art Beat.

Original air date: 08/09/22

Art Beat is written and produced by KQAL on the campus of Winona State University and is made possible by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
