Episode description

Excessive attention dedicated to one thing – whether that’s our screens or our sex lives – can bring about negative home habits and dull our other senses. Some studies have found that an excessive use of porn can even reduce the amount of dopamine receptors and transporters in adolescents.

Last week on the pod (Ep28), I introduced the concept of leaning in to a celibacy practice during this period of quarantine (and why a break from all sexual stimulation might be a good thing right now).

This week, I’m bringing you five alternative, sensual habits to replace and re-invigorate all five senses: touch, sight, sound, smell, and taste; to awaken more mindful living, and to keep your celibacy practice on track.
