Allison Mills is a Cree and settler writer, archivist, librarian, and researcher with a thing about ghosts. Allison’s critical work has appeared in The Looking Glass and in Archivaria, where it won the 2016 Dodds Prize. She currently lives and works on unceded Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh, and Squamish land in Vancouver, BC.

Our narrator this month is Amy H. Sturgis. Amy H. Sturgis earned her Ph.D. in Intellectual History from Vanderbilt University, teaches at Lenoir-Rhyne University, and specializes in Science Fiction/Fantasy and Indigenous American Studies. She is one of the staff members behind the Hugo Award-winning StarShipSofa podcast and the Editor in Chief of Hocus Pocus Comics. An Oklahoma native of mixed European/Cherokee background, Sturgis lives with her husband in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina. Her official website is amyhsturgis.com.
