Celebrating the power of possibility. Hi, I'm Judy Bailoff and I believe anything is possible. Welcome to Anything is Possible. I'm Hallerin Hilton Hill. Great stories about great people whose lives prove that anything is possible. Part two of my interview with Judy Bailoff, some people are just on that forward momentum, positive frequency, and she is here on purpose and on mission. Thank you for being here.
In our last episode, we were talking about your life story and you've been through a lot. Open heart surgery, five strokes, divorce, loss of a job, moving here, there and everywhere, and your life has been revolutionized as you've dedicated it to helping people improve their lives. How do you feel about that? When did you get to that moment where you're like, I'm going to do this?
It was, well, I wrote 365 days of abundance. That's when I realized that there were such powerful laws and principles. And when I figured out, being a girl that grew up in Sunday school, that every single principle from Napoleon Hill or Earl Nightingale, or they all come out of God's word. You're like, oh, come on guys, I figured out your secret.
Universal laws, right? Because they're universal because they are the things, that's why Napoleon Hill's made a thousand millionaires, or however many he's made, because they're actual laws and principles. And that's what I think is so powerful, is if we learn, if we internalize, if we teach the things that actually have meaning and power to change people's lives, then all we have to do is just obey. We just have to follow that.
So let me start here this episode. First, let me get you to give us just a list of the universal laws before we start talking about a blueprint for kind of changing your life. Okay, well, I love the universal laws, so I do know them. It starts out with the universal law of divine oneness. Next is the universal law of vibration. Then is the universal law of correspondence. Next is law of attraction. Then comes law of inspired action.
Then this one is a tongue twister, the universal law of perpetual transmutation of energy. And we see that right now in the spring. All the bulbs are turning into tulips. Energy, moving, changing. After perpetual, oh, that is universal law of perpetual motion. Then universal law of polarity. Universal law of relativity, which I call my everyday law, so we probably want to talk more about that one somewhere around here. Then universal law of compensation and universal law of giving and receiving.
It's a really big deal. One of the things that you've done is you've kind of put together a blueprint. You call it your power-up blueprint, a personal growth plan to give you the amazing life you desire. My show is entitled Anything is Possible. And I always want to know pathways to possibility, if that makes sense. Absolutely. You told me about this, I thought, wait a minute, this is in perfect alignment with where we go.
So I wanted to look at your power-up blueprint and there's a course that people can take. It's an online course. And that's because it's not because I don't want to meet you personally. It's because people's schedules are so hard to align that when they can watch it on their own time, it works better for them. So what I'd like to do is I'm going to go through your classes that are in the course.
We're going to hang up on a couple of these, but I'd like to just go through the complete list with you. And I'd like for you to give me just a sentence on each one. Okay, that's a good idea. Yeah. On our first pass, and then I've got a couple that I want to do a deeper dive on. So class one is find your why. If you don't find your why, you keep getting lost. Got to have a why. Establish your definite purpose. Now this is different than a goal because a goal you kind of have to make every year.
Once you get your why, your definite purpose says, this is what I am about. This is what my life is directed towards. The road might change. That's really actually the story of my life. My life has always been directed the same way. Just I worked here or I raised these kids or I went here, but I've always been on this path. I like that. Number three, go deeper with your definite purpose. Okay, this is where you think about how am I going to be the person that can do this.
Who do I have to become so that this is what I do? A personal growth plan. Yeah, because in order to live with this purpose, it's going to require that I be this type of person. Is that... Yeah, no, very much so because I've become so much more the true Judy that God created from doing this work. I love it. I just want to share it. Class four is revolutionize your life with five morning habits. I put that in there because everybody was complaining about the 5 a.m. club.
I'm not getting up at 5 a.m. like me either, but I have morning habits that I have done consistently for the last three and a half years. They say 21 days to make a habit. I do my morning prayers every day. I write in my gratitude journal every day. I meditate every day. I exercise at least minimum vital effort, at least five minutes I lift weights or walk. Like, nice if I do more, but at least if I do that, it's part of my five morning habits.
So in that class, I teach people how to get started on putting those in place. Make the choice for a higher vibration. This is my favorite class. Well, hold on that one. We'll come back. Okay. Find the meaning in adversity and defeat. So I will just quote Victor Frankel. Life has meaning because we give it meaning. We're going to come back to that one. Strengthen your personality. Okay. This is something we need to work on and we don't. Take steps to give in order to receive.
Universal love, giving and receiving. Love it. Get a positive mental attitude. Number one thing you can do to improve your life is get a positive mental attitude. Keep faith in your toolbox. Any toolbox that doesn't have faith in it is sorely lacking. Banish your inner critic. So a lot of us have years of paradigms and this class will help you start to work on those paradigms because the paradigms are where your inner critic comes from. You can't do that. You're not pretty. You're too fat.
Look, whatever they are. Shift your paradigms. This is the work that Flipping the Script does, that book. We have to learn how the brain works, where everything's stored, and how we replace the negative things with the positive things we really want in our life. Prioritize your essential habits. So you're probably thinking she's duplicating, but morning habits are very different than essential habits which are, if you do something and you don't ever reflect on it, you didn't get any lessons.
So it's that kind of teaching. Got you. And then finally, tap into the power of your subconscious. This is the power that moves worlds. You have a text here, Romans 8.6, the mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the spirit is life and peace. That's the power. All right, let's go back. Make the choice for a higher vibration. Let's go deep on that one. Okay, so everybody, have you ever met somebody that says, I'm just unlucky? We all have, right? Right.
We have friends who like, their car's always running out of gas, they're always late for work, they lose every boyfriend they've ever had, and they say, I can't do anything about it. But we choose every day what thoughts we have. And people don't, they don't actually really think. Earl Nightingale did a study of a thousand people. 98% of them said they never think. 3% said they sometimes think and 2% think. So if we don't think to start with, we can't choose our vibration.
And remember I said vibration is so important because it comes before correspondence and attraction. So vibration is, I need to ask myself how I'm feeling. And if I'm feeling any of those negative emotions, I need to choose a thought that's more positive. So you're like, how can I do that if I'm feeling bad? Well, think about your dog, like you love your puppy, your puppy's never bad, like he's just the sweetest thing.
Or you love your girlfriend, or you think about something that's totally up there. Like you don't, because you're not, you can't convince your subconscious of anything, it's like dirt. It just does what the conscious mind sends to it to do. So to choose a higher vibration means, A, you have the power. Right. B, you need to make some decisions. C, you probably need a guide, a coach, or somebody to help you identify those paradigms. And I gotta, I gotta just digress here.
My son is a veteran and 18 years of struggling with PTSD and depression and alcoholism and dysentery and in and out of rehab. And I'm so proud of him because he's, I said to him one day, he goes, I'm having a horrible day. And I said, you know, you can control your feelings. He goes, I cannot. I guess you can. And that was when we started every day learning how to control our thoughts. That's a big deal.
As I've listened to stories of people's possibility through the years, I don't know that I've had direct conversations about this. But almost every one of them to a person has a mindset or an orientation toward possibility. And when they're not there, they think themselves there. And there are a lot of people who don't know that they can choose their thinking. I was writing a song yesterday. The first line of the song is, I was thinking about my thoughts today. Oh, good line. I like it.
And sometimes I have to stop and think about my thoughts and think about the quality of those thoughts and ask myself the question, is this helping or hurting? But to know you have that agency. You know, this one writer said, the height of human arrogance is this, that when we think a thought, we believe it true. Worse, when we hear anybody else's opinion, we think it's true. Right. So you can choose your vibration. You can choose your vibration.
But getting in the habit of choosing your vibration and owning that agency, that ability to do that, it's a huge thing. Well, and it's connected to get your five essential morning habits in place and then work on those essential habits that change your life. You know, because writing in your gratitude journal is wonderful, it helps get your vibration up. But if you need to do some deep work, you need to sit down with some guidance and figure out where your paradigms are, like identifying them.
And some of them, especially like our money paradigm, it's the hardest one to change. We've been told since we were children, we can't afford that. Money doesn't grow in trees. I don't have a safe in the basement. Like my dad's had all those things. And he was just a good dad. He was saying, turn the lights off. Right. We don't have money. Instead of saying, what a wonderful house we live in that it has electricity and running water and I have a job and I can buy you kids school clothes.
He didn't talk that way. That's how I talk now. Right. I have everything I need. Right. I have enough that I can give. Right. Moving from a scarcity mentality to abundance. To a price. Abundance. Find meaning in adversity and defeat. Oh, you've had to deal with that too. Right. Well, and people, everybody in your life has to deal with it. I mean, I helped my mom deal with adversity and defeat. By talking to her about the universal law of relativity. I said, mom.
Victor Frankel says, life has meaning because we give it meaning. So we're going to give meaning to this situation if you're getting kicked out of your house, have to move into assisted living. Because she started out saying, I'm old. I can't move again. I don't want my, I don't want to be without my stuff. Why don't they want me? And I said, we're going to go a different way.
I'm going to talk about, I'm so blessed that my granddaughter is going to come up here and help me pack up and move me into a beautiful room at the assisted living place. I'm so blessed that they're going to cook three meals a day because I've been eating out of a microwave because I'm blind and I might hurt myself with a flame. I'm so blessed. My mom said to me just two months ago, she said, you know, Judy, you changed my life. That's got to be one of the most beautiful moments of your life.
My son has said the same thing. So if all I ever do with this work, Halloween has changed the lives of my son and my mom. That's got to be enough for me. I mean, that's, if you can do something for the people you love, that's that positive. For years, I have talked about you maximizing the possibility of your life, like you becoming the very best version of yourself, you can be.
What you just said, though, brought home to me this, by making the investment in being the best version of yourself, you can be by raising your vibration or learning how to reframe your life so that it's not happening to you, but it's happening for you. You have no idea the influence you will have on people around you and saving your own life may end up helping you save somebody else's life.
Absolutely. But for God to grace you with the knowledge, the information, the definiteness of purpose to not only find a vehicle by which you could reformat your brain and optimize it for abundance, but then for you to be able to turn to two people that you love. That we're struggling both. Your mother and your son and to be that nexus. That right there, to me, that's success.
I'm agreeing with you. I think and I want it to be true. I want to say, God, if this is all that it ever is, is I get to a couple of people by my book and but my son and my mom have wonderful, happy, peaceful lives. They have a reason to get up in the morning. And many times my son thought about not getting up in the morning. And I talk to him almost every day for 17 years and until I learned this, I didn't have anything to give him.
I think when I sat down with you, that's the thing that struck me was I didn't feel like you were trying to sell a book or a course or I really felt like you're on a mission. To save lives, to improve lives. Not just to, and I know for me, you know, growing up, the things that I've been through, there's a difference between surviving and thriving. Big difference.
And the people who help us find the bridge that move us from just trying to get through life to enjoying life and then giving life is such a beautiful thing. How do people access you and the resources and the things that you've presented to us today? And thank you for sharing the heart of your experience with us. Absolutely. The easiest way is to go to my website, www.judiBaloff.com. That's it, easy.
L-L-O-F-F, yep. And everything's there. There's a place to shop if you want to buy the books. There's a place for the courses if you want to take the courses. If you're a veteran, you get to take it for free. And I will always, when there's somebody in need, if I can give them the class and they'll do the work with me, I'll actually, I'll work with them.
Before you get away, what are the rules for success? Because you talked about having kind of a broader perspective on life, that there are stages, there are changes. Passages. I like passages. Passages, I like that. What are your tips for navigating passages?
I could have never put a word on it before, but I just recently realized that writing that power up blueprint course, the essential, not the essential, the morning five, but the essential life habits you have to get, one of them is reflection. Like even after this show, I should ask myself, you should ask myself, okay, what did I learn? What did I love? What did I change? And reflection is where you get the spark. You get that, ah, ah-ha.
But we rush through life like this. You know, we should reflect on our relationships. We should reflect on our spiritual experience. You know, reflection is huge. And I think every time I did that, so when I got divorced, and I knew that I wanted, I was a girl who needed to be loved. I wanted to have a partner. I wanted to grow old with someone.
I love the picture of the rocking chairs on the porch. Like, I want to be that person. And so I said, okay, I always, I didn't call it reflection at the time, Halloran. I called it just, what do I have to do to make this work? What are the steps? But reflection is what got me. Reflection allowed you to create, to visualize what you wanted, and visualization is the beginning of manifestation. You got to start with.
But you're not going to get visualization without reflection because you're out there going like, I'm divorced, I'm living by myself, I'm doing my own bills. Like, you're going in another direction. So you want to bring yourself back and reflect, what did I learn? What did I love? What can I change? And I had to change. I had to change to find love. Because I was kind of a naked wife. I was. I kept thinking that that person should make me happy. Right. And I realized I make me happy.
The willingness to change comes out of reflection. And I guess here's what I want to end on is that it's possible to grow. It's possible to change. It's possible. New beginnings are a real possibility. Maybe just maybe anything is possible. Judy Bailoff, thank you for joining us today. A total pleasure. Thank you, Heather.
