Time Capsule #1: Fulham 09-10

This week we bring you the first of a brand new series here at Any Given Thursday. On Time Capsule, we'll be diving into famous matches and runs in the Europa League's (slash UEFA Cup's) past, and for the inaugural episode, we rewind the calendar to 2009-10 to recount Fulham's magical run to the UEL final.

We take you through their journey, from the 3rd round of qualifying to the heartbreaking defeat with minutes to go in extra time in the final, including key players, tactics, and the side's place in history.

We also zero in on perhaps the most notable of Fulham's fixtures - their 4-1 home shellacking of Juventus, which saw them through the Round of 16 on a 5-4 aggregate score.

So join us as we turn back the clock and voyage down the Thames to Hammersmith and Fulham and a little old ground called Craven Cottage.
