Episode description

At 49, Nita Sweeney was chronically depressed, overweight, and grief-stricken after the deaths of five family members, three friends, and a cat, all within a twelve-month period. As she sat on the living room sofa (possibly eating bon bons), she saw the social media post of a high school friend. "This running is getting to be fun!" she said. Nita was certain she had misread her post. But no. She had begun the interval training program "Couch to 5k." As she watched her progress, Nita's curiosity grew. That was three full marathons, twenty-seven half marathons, and more than ninety shorter races ago. Hear more about Nita's journey now. Tune in! https://nitasweeney.com
