85: How to discern a true calling from a fake one
Episode description
Over the last 2.5 years since starting my career coaching practice, I’ve gotten to be in a very unique place where I get to observe and help people make decisions (big and small) in my daily work. I also get to help people comb through their story to pinpoint what past decisions were truly from God, and which were made up of meaning and purpose that didn’t turn out to be there.
Through all this, I knew it’s time to bring up the themes I’ve observed in how to discern a true calling from a fake one. In this episode, I share:
- Reliable vs. unreliable indicators that you’ve actually found your calling
- Why, in particular, we absolutely need to STOP basing our decisions off of the feeling of peace
- I’ll also share what place feelings DO have in our decision making
