Welcome to another Universal Orlando Podcast. I'm Nick and I'm Melody and we have no baby here with us currently. I haven't done a baby update in so long. No, you did one in the last episode. I did. Oh, I don't. She kind of made it obvious. She didn't make it obvious. In today's episode, we are talking about a topic. Oh my word. It is our mega episode. We are covering Epic Universe today.
We have not covered it much. I don't think we've really talked much about it since our speculation. No, that was a long, long time ago. We did a bonus episode covering the tickets. We do have an update on the tickets. We didn't. Did we cover any of the lands? Nope. Well, today we're covering all the lands, all of the food options that are specifically stated, all of the rides that are specifically stated, anything else.
And whatever else we can find. And tickets. We are covering tickets today. Okay. So, before we get into all that, Melody wants to talk to you about our socials. Socials! We are on Instagram and Twitter slash X. You can find us at another Universal podcast on Instagram and another UO pod on Twitter slash X. And we have a YouTube now that we're actually posting to. Oh yeah. Hopefully by the time this goes up, we'll have more than one.
We actually have a video up. We do have one video up. And it's not Universal related. It's- As of this recording, there is, what, two weeks of Halloween Horror Nights left, right? Yes. Yeah, there's about two weeks left. And early November. Like early, early November. November 3rd. Okay. One of the houses at a quiet place. And I made a Twitch account, cause I'm trying to make big bucks being a Twitch streamer. No, you're just- I have nine views.
Gonna roll in the dough. Now, I like playing video games, so I decided why not stream it and post it to our YouTube. So, I'm not gonna bombard you with a whole bunch of Let's Plays. I'll do some games that are interesting. To him. To me. So, the one I'm doing right now, I'm doing a playthrough. It's the A Quiet Place video game. So, if that's interesting to you, come watch it on my channel.
I don't talk much, because I turned on the microphone feature. May or may not play games myself, but for me, I would have to do it either late at night or during nap time. Yep. And I also don't do stressful games. No, she does not. So, currently the only game I can think of streaming that we own on our PlayStation is Fall Guy. I might make you play the A Quiet Place video game and just turn off the microphone feature. No. Yes. Nope. Yep. Nope. Yep. Nope. Yep.
We'll talk about this later. No, I'm not. But it's a yes. Anyway. I think it'd be fun. Move on. Most streamers you see, oh, they don't get scared of this stuff. It'd be funny watching you play. I would be so annoying to watch, because I am a major chicken, and I don't want to be spookied. We'll see what we can do. We won't do like maybe we can do like shorter videos like the highlights. Move on. OK, I'm being told to move on. So that is our we didn't even plug the YouTube.
What's our YouTube? I don't remember. Another universal channel, I think. I think it's another UO podcast on YouTube, because Twitch is different from YouTube. But if you go to our Instagram, I'll have it linked in our link tree. I keep forgetting to put that up. Yes, it's another UO podcast. And the Twitch is another UO channel. No, another universal channel on Twitch. There you go. Shameless plug.
Because we couldn't, you know, make it simple. We have a different username for every single thing we're on. It's not my fault things were taken. I might change the YouTube channel name to another UO channel. I kind of like that better. No, another universal channel. OK, we're talking too much about this. Moving on. Tickets. Three day tickets went on sale a couple days ago.
You have the option of buying three day tickets where it's Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and one day at Epic Universe. I could do four day tickets where it was Universal Islands, Volcano Bay, one day at Epic. Those were your options. They ranged in prices. Most people were getting like five hundred bucks for the whole thing. Not per day, but for the whole package. It was like one thirty something per day.
Anyways, they released single day tickets today for pass holders. So that means we have the prices. Yep. It was a cluster this morning. I'm not going to say the other word because it's a naughty word. You can just say chaotic. It was very chaotic. So last night I'm like, what time should I set my alarm for it? Because I want to go day one. I want to be there May 22nd to experience it. I want to see what an opening day park is like. I'm glad you're not because from what I've seen this morning.
So I set my alarm for six a.m., six fifteen and six thirty because the three day tickets went on sale at six thirty in the morning. I remember waking up at six a.m. log on to the app seeing that they weren't up yet. And if you're wondering why we have multiple alarms, it's because we have a history of some of our alarms just not going off. No, it's not because of that. I was actually planning on checking at six and then six fifteen and then six thirty.
So I would be within a 15 minute window of them going on sale and I would have a better chance of getting them. So anyways, the three day ticket and the four day ticket went on sale at six thirty on Monday, Monday or Tuesday. It went on sale, but we're pass holders, but we're pass holders. They said, what is today, the 24th? They said Thursday, the October 24th. Pass holders would get one day ticket opportunity before anybody else. So I woke up right at six a.m. check the app.
I had a two minute queue and I'm like, great. Maybe they just released them. Get in. I see a little notification opening day is sold out. I'm like, great. So I get in line. I get in the app. Wake me up. Wake you up. Tell you what's going on. I see May 22nd. I can still click on it. And it had a price and I could click on it. So I clicked on it, went through to purchase it, and then it gave me an error.
So I'm like, OK, it's for sure sold out because the original plan was just going to be me going on May 22nd. And then we would go on a later Sunday. So instead, I just booked the 25th, May 25th for 160. Hold on. I have a screenshot. Yeah. 163.65 per person, which is 327.30. That's a sub. It's another 21 with tax. So I did May 25th, a Sunday. We are both going to be there a few days after it opens.
Oh, well, I have one more opportunity to get opening day, though, I think, because I think when they let the general public go and buy a single day tickets, I think they may have more opening day. But technically you have even more people. Yeah, I'm going to have even more people to fight against. I have one more shot. Or if somebody cancels their tickets, hopefully that will put it back into the pool of tickets and I can buy that day. But I will. Is that it for tickets?
Oh, should I say what the ticket prices range from? Probably. Oh, so right. So I bought our tickets at six twenty something in the morning at six thirty. The whole site crashed. I log back on at six thirty and the line is paused. I'm like, who? That's weird. And somewhere I read that the site crashed and they were trying to get it fixed. Oh, it was in a little blurb at the top. So I'm like, wow, I got in right in time around like eight o'clock in the morning, I think.
Seven thirty eight. The line opened back up and it was like a four hour queue. I checked. It was seven thirty. No, it was eight. And it said your wait is more than an hour. And it gave me a time when I might be in, you know, able to purchase tickets. And it was like after twelve o'clock closer to one o'clock. And I'm like, wow, that's very convenient that I was able to buy tickets. Anyways, so we're for sure going the twenty fifth.
Hopefully I got my confirmation number, but they said it's supposed to show up in your wallet on the app. And it has yet to show up in my wallet on the app. So I'm going to give it some time. A one day Universal Epic Universe ticket starts at one twenty one fifteen per day per adult. An adult is 10 plus 10 years and up. A child, which is three to nine, is one hundred and sixteen ninety per day. Why do they do that? What make a child just like five dollars cheaper?
I don't know. Maybe because kids in that age range can't ride everything, but they can still have a super enjoyable time. So they make it slightly cheaper because they can't go on stuff like Velocicoaster. At that point, just make it like 20 bucks cheaper and actually make it worth it. Anyways, it's fine. So on. Here's another thing.
So the way it works is you go on the app as a pass holder, you click profile and you see this little banner underneath like your dining reservations, your parking reminder, all those buttons. There's a button that says pass holder and then it says Universal Epic Universe single day admission for pass holders on sale now. You click on that banner. It redirects you to the filter tickets. And then the only option you have is Epic Universe and days visiting is one day.
And then you just hit apply filter and then you scroll down and then you have what I just told you, the adult ticket price and the child ticket price. And you can click plus one for adult and plus one for child. That is it. You can't add two adults or three adults. So the workaround, I don't know if this is going to be a glitch by the time this episode comes out, but the workaround is you just hit one adult or if you have a child to one child.
And then it brings you to the calendar where you select your day. So while we're here, the ticket prices, the 25th is 164 with the majority of prices being in the $156 range. I see no $120 tickets. Scratch it. I found some in September. September is 122 on Tuesday the 2nd through Tuesday the 4th. Most of September is 126 and they have tickets all the way up until December of 2025 with December 31st being unavailable. So anyways, the workaround. You hit, let's just say my day, May 25th.
You click add to cart. Now here is where you hit adult ticket and child ticket and you can add. You hit one. Oh, wait, my app is glitching. Okay, you go to the cart where I added it and then you can add more than one. But the max you can get is six. That is all. Okay. Is that it for tickets? That is it for tickets. Did we talk about lands now? Watch, I guarantee you as soon as this episode comes out, different ticket options are going to come out.
Probably. Because I also read somewhere that express pass might be offered day one. We may do like a bonus episode if something else comes out. If something big like express pass actually gets officially announced, we'll do a bonus. Yeah. Because this episode is not just about tickets. It's about the lands that we've never officially covered, only speculated about. So we're probably going to start from the most recent video because. So Melody made notes.
We're going to start with Ministry of Magic. I went off the Facebook post originally because I forgot I can just look on YouTube and find the playlist of all the videos. Good job. So with how Facebook works, you have to do the most recent one and then work your way back. So in this episode, we're going to cover the Harry Potter world, which is called I'm testing you. Ministry of Magic. No, that's the ride. I don't know what it's called. I didn't write down my notes. I just know where it is.
It's in Paris. I was hoping you knew because I also forgot. Well, we're about to watch the video. All right. So we're going to cover the Harry Potter world and dark universe. Yes. So starting off Harry Potter. All right. So we're just going to. Universal World. And we'll feature five astounding worlds that go beyond anything you've ever experienced before. Wow. Harry Potter, Ministry of Magic, you'll explore multiple eras of magical thrills. I'm excited about seeing that the big statue. Mm hmm.
Come together to watch. Harry Potter was one of them. We're currently watching the Harry Potter movies. Where are we getting a lake? I think you're showing the movie. Expansion of the world. All began with Hogsmeade. Hogsmeade. Hogsmeade. Then Dyer and Alley creating the magical industries of London. And now with Epic Heroes guests will experience even more adventures. Inspired by both of these.
We're bringing to life Wizarding Paris from the Fantastic Beasts film and the British Ministry of Magic from the Harry Potter films. As guests walk through the portal, they're instantly transported to 1920s mobile Paris. It doesn't say where you're going, it's just 1920s Muggle Paris. No, there is a name for it. We built two scale streets in Paris. This is the biggest thing we've ever built. Our shortest building is taller than the tallest building in Dyer and Alley.
It's going to be overwhelming with all of the wind. Just imagine that. Expansion of the Wizarding World. Just imagine how tall that is. I'm trying to think of what the tallest building in Dyer and Alley is. Isn't it Gringotts? Maybe. Because are they counting the dragon as part of the building? Because you have to remember the way they built Dyer and Alley was so that you couldn't see it. Right. Except for the dragon. Right. So this is going to be pretty tall.
When they said their shortest building is the tallest. That just makes me think, how big do the walls have to be around this land? My other thought is, will it not be too hot? Because there will be enough shade? I think it would be hotter. Because there's not as much open air flow? Not as much open air flow. And then, to me it looks like there's really no shade. Overhangs. Yeah, I guess during the middle of the day you do have the sun right above you. When the sun is directly on top of you.
But when it gets later it will be shady. Yeah. Moving on. We've been hauling you crazy twists. The streets of Place Cachet are so alive with activity. Oh, pause it. Speaking of Butterbeer, I heard that they were going to do a French twist on the Butterbeer. I think I wrote that in my notes. I don't think you did because I told you about it like a couple days ago. Nope, I did not write anything down. Told you. I just wrote that they will be selling Butterbeer. That's it.
I wonder what French twist on the Butterbeer means. French vanilla. I don't know. No. Moving on. With not so fantastic views throughout. Niffler! The old magical Paris surrounding you. Being able to smell the French cuisine at Cafe L'Air de La Salade. Hearing the different music that we have playing in the background that's both wizarding and French. There's a lot. And of course we're serving Pierre au Lire or Butterbeer as everybody knows it.
In Britain, you may get chosen by a wand and all of that. But here in Paris, you go to Cosme Accageure, the premier wand maker. Famous for exquisite art-couture designs. With your wand, you can cast spells, play with fantastic beasts, and loose throughout the streets. Seeing a kid in a robe turn to his mom and yell, I'm a wizard. That's literally what we strive for. In the heart of Wizarding Paris, you guys will find an incredible show, the Cirque Arcanume.
They'll go on a journey of excitement, surprises, and compassion if they encounter fantastic beasts they know about. The show is mind-blowingly cool. You're going to just be amazed at this beautiful theater that exists within this tent. This is the first time we've created a full-scale indoor show for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. We have aerials, special effects, puppetry, and so much more coming together. It's going to be really fun for guests to see some of the creatures come to life.
I'm really looking forward to it. I'm most excited to build the Ministry of Magic and with the help of the Flu Network, guests get to journey from Wizarding Paris to London to embark on this incredible adventure inside the British Ministry. How are they going to do that? Do what? The way you get to the Shrine is you go through the Flu Network. Uh-huh. How are they doing that?
I'm pretty sure it might be what they do, like a shimmery screen or like a projected screen of flames so you're walking through flames. I guess. And then maybe they'll have air shoot down at you or up at you when you go through, so it's like whoosh. How long is that going to take for people to walk through that? I think it's just continuous. Think about it like this. When you go through the platform and 9 3 quarters for the train, everybody stops and takes a picture.
Yes, but I think they'll have multiple doorways. I hope so. I think it's just one doorway. Look at the picture! There's a bunch of doors. Yeah, I know, but- There's at least four for a park pause screen. Thousands of people walking through this attraction. I think we'll be fine. I think it's just going to be a major bottleneck. Maybe. Probably. Moving on.
Go through these giant fireplaces and journey through the Metroflame, which is Wizarding Mass Transit, that we collaborated with the filmmakers to create. It's a multi-sensor. Okay, from the picture that I just saw, it looked like there's a line that goes to the doorways. So maybe that's how they fixed the bottleneck is they have a line to go through it. So it's not just people cramming and pushing each other out of the way to get through a doorway. They have a line for the platform too.
Okay, but it's still a line. Yes, it's stopped and slow, but it's more organized and just people pushing in diagonally. That's not what I'm- what? The entrance. Yeah, I know. I'm just- no, my point is, when you go through the entrance for the platform, everybody stops and takes a picture. Yeah, it's one door, but my point is, this is a brand new attraction. Day one, if this is truly a thing like the platform, everybody's just gonna stop and try and take a picture there.
Yeah, it's gonna take a while. Oh well. The gas will be fully engulfed. It really makes the flames fly up right now. It's fine. Oh, they just said you're gonna be fully engulfed. Mm-hmm. You thought it was gonna be a projection. So maybe it's fog. Maybe. Like I said, it's something to make the green fire, but then like air blowing at you. I guess. Moving on. Warm air, like- Wait, fog shoots up so you can't see. It's like the water vapor fog, so it's okay to breathe in. Uh-huh.
But the platform spins you around real quick, and then you're on the other side. I hope not. Why? Because that's disorienting. So? No, just walk through. Make it simple and easier for people. Also, you would have, if it spun you around, then you too would also have to turn around and walk out. Huh? No. Yes? You stand on the platform. Okay, pretend, so I stand on the platform. I'm looking out at you. Things shoot up. Platform spins 180 degrees. Then you're facing away from me.
What? Okay. If you walk into a doorway- I don't think you're understanding. And then the doorway spins 180, then you're facing back the way you came in. What? No. Do I need to stand up and show you? I'm gonna stand up and show you. I'm taking Melody's mic now. This is the line to get into the flu network. The flu is right in front of me, correct? Uh-huh. I come in. I'm so happy. I'm in Epic Universe.
I turn around, because, you know, there's a brick wall right here, because, you know, it's a fireplace. I turn around. I throw my dust at the ground like in the movie. But I'm standing on a platform. The wall behind me spins. 180 degrees. And now I'm facing a totally new room. Do you understand? Okay, you know that- Rise of Resistance. Do you know the rise of- Oh, right. Melody wants to talk now. I forgot I took your mic. Yes, I understand. It's just the way that it works.
Oh, I guess they do go in the fireplace and then turn around. Okay, because the way I thought it was, you go into the fireplace and then you're just still walking straight. You didn't need to turn. No. That's platformer nine and three quarters. Fine. But what about people who have mobility problems? They go through a separate door. Well, that's boring. Right, but- If you're just going straight through, it would be easier.
People who have mobility problems going through platformer nine and three quarters, they just take an elevator. Fine. They're not, you know, they'll do stuff like that. People who have mobility issues know they're not going to get the full Q experience. Because at some point they'll either need to take like an elevator or a separate route or something like that. Fine. Continue? Fine. The crucial moment and help save the Parrot Monitor and the Battle of the Ministry is an amazing new attraction.
It represents- Okay, take a look at that. Hold on. Keep playing it until you can see the whole line. Okay. While it's waiting to load, it's like the Rise of the Resistance ride. You get on the transport ship. You don't feel the ship moving, but it's rotating you 180 degrees. Oh yeah, this is going to spoil the magic, just saying. It's rotating you 180 degrees. You walk out the same doors you came in, but you're in a different room now. And I couldn't wrap my head around that when I went on it.
Until you learned? Until I watched a video explaining it. That is- Pause it. Right there. Okay. You have the ride queue right there. And it makes it seem like you can just meander through the ministry on the right hand side. You can see how people are just casually walking around, whereas the people on the left right there are in a specific queue. So I wonder what is there to do in the ministry that isn't the ride, other than just looking around.
I wonder if there's going to be shops in there, maybe eateries. You read the books. Is there anything in the ministry that would be like a shop? Definitely not shop-wise, because it's a workplace. Right. Do they have a cafeteria you can eat in? That's the only thematic thing, I guess. So I wonder what there- obviously there's probably going to be one spots to- It also could be the exit of the ride, where you walk back out of the ministry area as you exit the ride.
Oh, it could be. But you can tell how some people are walking, but some people are just standing there. And then the dude in the wheelchair is just sitting there. Or it could just all be ride line and that was just an idea. It could be. Alright, moving on. This is a new attraction. It represents the decades of innovation that the mission has created. The story takes place after Voldemort has been defeated.
Finally, this is the day in which Davoris Umbridge is standing trial for her crimes against the Wizarding World. As we board our elevator lift, we end up realizing that Umbridge has escaped. Guests join Harry, Ron, and Hermione on a quest to capture Dolores Umbridge and stop her from breathing. Oh, I thought I paused at the end of the sentence. I find this funny. You're going in an elevator, that's your ride vehicle. But you're going to be sitting down in an elevator.
Yeah, that's going to be a little weird. But I mean there's also what Tower of Terror, which is kind of the same thing. Yeah. I just find it funny. The way this ride was explained, someone I think found the schematics for this ride. And I could be completely wrong, so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt. The way this ride I think works is it's like you have your main tube right here. Your ride gets put in the tube, you go up, you get pulled in, and the tube has all of these offshoots.
And you go in, you go up, you go into a different offshoot, you do that scene. You get pulled back, go up, do a different scene, and it's basically just a huge rotation of... Watching different scenes. Watching different scenes and just going up and up and rotating around doing different scenes. How do you get back down? Well I think it's like you go up, you go into one, you come out, you rotate, and you spiral up, and then you kind of spiral. I don't know.
It made sense when I heard it. I'm like, oh, that's a really good idea. Okay. Continuing. The time of Orpul. It's a heart pounding adventure and is on a scale that we haven't been able to... Yeah, see how... You'll be right in the middle of this giant battle against umbrage and death eaters of the entire Ministry. We're combining so many different and new technologies for this adventure to life at a scale never seen before.
This is the most ambitious ride we've ever ridden. It's an absolute game changer. I was on site and I actually just took a moment to step back and stare at what we're building because it's nuts. All the people who get to see it beforehand are so lucky. Mmhmm. Diagon Alley to the Ministry of Magic. We've continued to bring the storytelling to the next level. Epic Universe is all about immersing our guests in these larger than life worlds, creating a space that guests are going to... Niffler.
...for decades to come is so special. And doing it with stories as powerful as Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts is just a once in a lifetime opportunity that I'm so grateful to be part of. We're thrilled to expand the wizarding world of Harry Potter and bring even more adventures to life. Okay, is that it? Yeah, pretty much. Alright, we're gonna stop there. Alright, your notes. Okay, remember this is two different videos. The other video is just like a fly through.
Yeah. Do you want to do the fly through? No, it's... The same thing? Basically what they show in this video, just uninterrupted by people. Okay, yeah, we're not gonna do that. So, it takes place in 1920s Muggle Paris, Portals the Phoenix Arch, was built to be the same scale as Paris, shortest building is taller than the tallest building in Diagon Alley. I'm just going through this to see if there's anything else. Place Tachay. It's the place in Paris you're visiting. Alright, okay.
I like the whole interactive wand thing. And I'm looking forward to this one because it's now Beast. You get to interact with beasts, and I think that's cool. Yeah. Okay, there's nothing in your notes that's different. So, is there only one ride in this land? I guess so. There's a ride and a show. Okay. The show does look pretty interesting. Because there's the circus type show. Okay. Is there anything else you want to talk about, Harry Potter? Thoughts? Questions? Concerns? Excited? Excited.
Okay. I don't think we're gonna be doing this on the 25th. We also need to do better prep work for this land. Because I've seen Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them twice? Three times? I have never seen any of the Fantastic Beasts. I tried watching the first one. I got so bored I fell asleep. They are a bit slower than the Harry Potter movies. Now I have to watch them to appreciate this land more, at least.
Because I know in the movies they show a lot of beasts, but the story itself is kind of... Meh. Yeah. Anyways. Excited? Yes. I don't think we're gonna be doing this land on the 25th. Probably not. With how packed Diagon Alley is and Hogsmeade. But don't forget there's also Nintendo Land. And that's also gonna be super packed. I think Harry Potter World and Nintendo World. Those two are gonna be the most packed. Well then what about Dark Universe? That might be the third most packed.
And probably the least packed is Isle of Berk. More than likely. People love Toothless and stuff. I'm pretty sure everyone loves the other three parts more, unfortunately. Moving on. And don't forget the last land too. The Celestial part. People keep forgetting about that as well. Woo! Next land. Next land. Shut up. Which is...Dark Universe. Yes. Now I gotta find the video. Hold on. Universal's Epic Universe is the next theme park for Universal Orlando Resort.
And will feature five astounding worlds that go beyond anything you've ever experienced before. In Dark Universe, you'll enter a foreboding world of unearthly legends and monstrous experiments. To me, just nothing is more universal than the Universal Monsters. The legacy of Universal Monsters is over a hundred years old. Getting to go into the Dark Universe and being able to... Invisible man. ...is something that I have been looking forward to since I started without a universe.
We may have a place for the monster lovers. We may have a place for thrill seekers. In a way, this project I've been waiting for my whole life. As our guests approach the portal. Okay. They're talking about the portal now. And I think out of all of the lands, this is probably my favorite one. I think the Nintendo one is gonna be a cool one. Yes, but the Matic looking...the Nintendo World, it's a pipe. Oh yeah. It's a pipe. Like, yes, it's cool, because you're going through the Mario pipe.
But this one, it has the tree, it has the little electric tower. I just think it's gonna be the most...ooh...to look at. I wonder if they're actually gonna have it, like, sparking like that. I'm pretty sure. Because this whole electric thing is throughout the whole land. Yeah, there's like electricity running through everything. Yeah, so I'm pretty sure it would be sparking. No, no, no, I mean like, you might see like blue LEDs running. Yeah. Like that type.
But I mean like, I wonder if they're actually gonna be arcing electricity like that. Like the... Real electricity arcing. I was talking about like the little plasma ball. Are you talking about like that type? Yeah, you know how when you touch it, like, you can see an arc of electricity? It might just be LEDs. I hope not. It'd be really cool if they arced real electricity. I don't know if that's safe. No one's gonna go up there. Okay. Oh yeah, it might be dangerous for the birds.
This is how the dark energy is gathered. And we're gonna see electricity pulsating through the land and connecting at the top of this mirror. To a new world of gods and monsters. Dark universe is inspired by all the universal monster films. In our world, all the universal monster stories have happened. Dark more. Is the result of that? Is the consequence? Every inch of dark universe tells a story. You can believe that monsters are real and it's all happening right here. There are layers of...
Intenseness, of scariness in dark universe. We kind of toe that line of being family friendly, but we can also be PG-13. Woah. You're cute. Roaming the land, we have some monsters that kind of move around. And then some other characters that help connect you to these stories. You can actually have yourself made up to look like a monster and then go out... Expensive makeup. Das Steakhouse is a restaurant that's operated by the Familiars of Vampires. It's centered around the story of... Pause.
...Vampires themselves. When we go on the 25th this is where we're eating. Oh. Why? Is this the fire windmill place? No. No? This is Das Steakhouse. Oh. Are we just going because it's steak? No. The waiters are vampires. Oh. And there's... What? Wouldn't they say witches, Familiars? I think so. Do you even know what that is? Nope. They're like... You know how witches are known to have like cats or some sort of animal with them? Uh huh. Familiars are basically human versions of those Familiars.
So like the cat will turn into a person. Oh. So McGonagall. No. Because McGonagall is a witch who can turn into a cat. Same thing. But she's not... She doesn't have the link to like a witch. Oh well. They're a pet. Kind of. Fine. They have like the pet bond. So that's why McGonagall is not a Familiar. As you enter as a guest you're going to get fed and you might be scoped up by vampires. Oh. On steaks. On steaks.
We're creating entertainment for families and we're creating entertainment for those who want to conquer their fears. Curse of the Werewolf follows the same story arc as our classic film The Wolf Man. Is this the Rhine? Yes. Okay. ...over and inhabited by artmists. And you see here the new Malava. And Malava gives you bad news that you've buried the Curse of the Werewolf. Oh no. You're immediately put in a wagon and sent out into the woods.
This is an incredibly thrilling, family-friendly spinning coaster. It's absolutely going to be fun. I can't wait. The Burning Windmill is a classic part of Universal Monster lore. And so when we create... Wait a minute. Pause. So if you're worried about the birds getting electrocuted, why are you not worried about them burning to death? You were worried about the birds getting electrocuted. I feel like this would be worse.
Okay. A bird flies into electricity, it zaps it, it dies, it falls to the ground, some kid gets traumatized. Yes, but this is a continuous fire. So a bird flies into this, goes up in flames... Okay. Florida's kind of dry. Hits a tree. Boom. Tree goes up. Florida is not dry. It is humid. If a bird hits a tree that hasn't gotten wet in the last three or four days, that tree's going up in flames. I guess. Okay, we just had Hurricane Milne. We haven't had rain for five or six days now?
We had rain a couple nights ago. It happened throughout the night. Well, I've been working. I haven't gotten any rain. Okay. I've been raking up leaves all week. I step on a leaf, it turns to dust. And you think I'm joking, I'm not. I will literally crumple a leaf and it'll just fall apart because it's so dry. Well, Jack and I went on a walk this morning and the sidewalk and all the grass, because he doesn't like to walk on the sidewalk.
He walks on the grass next to the sidewalk because he likes to crunch on the leaves and stuff. Which is fine, you know, crunchy leaves, cool. But it wasn't crunchy. It was wet. Whatever. And icky. Okay, fine. A flaming bird doesn't land on a tree. It lands on a kid. That kid's going to go up in flames. The kid will get burned. He's not in waste. He'll go up in flames. I don't know. It doesn't just combust in flames that easily. Here, let me take a match to your hair and see how fast it goes up.
There's the window right in front of you. And suddenly it bursts into flames. Also, it doesn't stay on fire. I know it's not going to stay on fire, but the unfortunate... Okay, a bird lands on the windmill. It moves. It's going to be a cooked chicken. It's a moving windmill. Windmill. Not a windmill. I still think we're going to see some cooked birds. Whatever. The burning blade is a wonderful little tavern. And this... Oh! Yes, it's a tavern. Oh, I'm going there.
You'll hear some tales. And their trophies are scattered about. Their idea of what we're going to have for lunch is going to keep changing, I promise. Well, that one just looks like a bar. We have another ride. The Monster's gonna change. It's going to be the most amazing Monster ride ever built. We've never opened these doors to Frankenstein Manor. The thrills of the attraction, the chance to meet all of our classic Monsters in a new and exciting way.
Inside Monsters Unchained, the Frankenstein experiment, you're going to see things that defy what you know of as a theme park attraction. There's a new resident in Manor. Her name is Victoria Frankenstein. Victoria Frankenstein is the great-great-granddaughter of Henry Frankenstein. You don't know if Dr. Victoria is good or bad, but she does want to bring good to the name Frankenstein again. Every night inside the Manor, Victoria is conducting these experiments.
You're going to see that she's captured all of the Universal Monsters and wanting to control them. Dracula's got other plans. Monsters Unchained has the most technologically advanced animated features of everything. The fact that they took a real video of one of the animatronics and I thought it was an animation at first is amazing. Also, I'm finding it kind of funny that this is also kind of following the Bloodlines house where you have Frankenstein.
Granted, it's the person, not the Monster, but it's Frankenstein fighting a vampire. Yeah. Just saying. This rule, they are powerful, they are intense. The technology we are using is cutting edge. You literally think of every technology I could possibly think of, and then we realize we need to invent new technology. Imagine what could happen in a Monster's ride when this sense of touch can literally be able to fill characters' breathing.
You want to ride this ride as almost a badge of honor that I can do one of the scariest rides that we've created. A horror house, but in ride form. I hope it's a horror house in ride form. The most amazing attraction of all time. Because they did say family-friendly rides, specifically for the werewolf ride. Yes. They did not use those words. No, this is- For Monster's Unchained. I think it's going to be a PG-13 ride. I want to know if it's going to be a Horror Nights level.
Is it going to be a Horror Nights level? I don't think it's going to be, like, definitely not for the goriness, at least. I was hoping they would. Ew. This is the one place they can do it, though. I think this universe is- Okay, I think we can stop. They're just going to gush over the land. Oh, yeah. Thoughts? I will go through my notes real quick. I will go through your notes. I have it right here. Good for you. Oh, it's not the familiars of witches.
It's the familiars of vampires for the steakhouse. Do do do do do. The Burning Blade Tavern is occupied by monster hunters. That was something we may have missed while watching the video. And then for Monster's Unchained, I wrote down that the ride should include Frankenstein's monster, werewolf, and Dracula, according to the images they show in the video. They also- I think they also showed the- what's that? Monster? Lagoon? Lagoon monster. I forgot what it's called. I forgot his name.
It's something- Creature. Creature- From the Black Lagoon? Maybe. Don't look at me. I don't know. Did you do? I think I- Creepy well with a red mist? Where did I write that? Anyways, any other thoughts? Because your notes were all covered in the video. Well, I didn't know that we'd be watching the video, so I wrote down as much info as I could. So we're gonna eat in Das Steakhouse. We're gonna get a drink in the tavern. Blood. Just kidding.
And then I think this is gonna be my most anticipated land. I'm pretty sure I already said that. Well, not mine. Mine will be in the next video. Uh, episode. Nintendo World? Probably. Then what's your most favorite? I said probably. Oh. Okay. I like kid movie stuff. So Isle of Berk, Nintendo Land, all up my alley. Anything else to say? I guess not. Before we wrap up this podcast. What? Which one do you prefer more? Dark Universe or Harry Potter?
Yes. I'm only saying Dark Universe because it has more to offer. Good. Good choice. Thank you. It has two rides and more restaurants. True. And I also like the whole electrical current going through the land. Yeah, that's gonna be interesting to see. I know it's just gonna be like LEDs and stuff, but... It's gonna be Horror Night 365 kind of thing. Eh. What do you mean, eh? Eh. It's spooky all year. I don't think so.
You got the monsters and whatever. Maybe during spooky season it gets even creepier. It'd be cool if they did a haunted house there. That'd be creepy. Like you just pay extra to go to it. Hmm. Probably not gonna happen. Probably not. Oh well. Anything else? Nope. Well, that's the episode. We'll do a part two where we'll cover Nintendo Land, Isle of Berk, and Celestial Park? Yes. Yeah. Alright. Bye bye. Bye bye.
