If Christians are not using the Bible to win arguments against people they disagree with, chances are they're using the Bible to affirm their own sense of purpose.
Only God can judge my soul. But the fruit of my pursuit of God's kingdom is for all people to see.
You don't need God's authority, anointing or power to be a country club.
So, when it comes to our shared ministry, let's not take the long way home.
Can God trust us with kingdom ministry?
So, what do we do if we aren't those natural peacemaking people?
That reminds me of when someone once asked me why I don't talk more about the devil.
There has never been a time when access to scripture was so abundant as it is today.
My guess is if the people didn't like what you said, they would let you know. People carried shotguns around back then.
What if I offered you this benediction before you left, "Go in peace. You'll need it because you will deny Jesus."
While you can pray faithfully sitting upright in your pew or driving in your car listening to praise music, imagine what happens in our soul when we praise God in kneeling adoration.
Need I remind you God doesn't operate by our desperate sense of time?
The message of the Risen Savior is ours. God gave it to us. What do we do with it?
Everyone looks like me. They sound like me. If we're really good at what we do, they even vote like me as well.
So much of our theological differences stem from not what we read in the Bible, but how we read it.
Blessed are the peacemakers and the ones who turn the other cheek.
If we abide in Christ, Christ abides in us. That's the promise.

Our sincerity with others begins with our sincerity with God.
I so wanted him to let me have a moment of Lord's-table-superiority.
