De'Von Achane played 50 percent of Miami's offensive snaps against the Atlanta Falcons on Friday night but fifth-year tailback Myles Gaskin stole the spotlight with 57 rushing yards on seven carries. It's clear that coach Mike McDaniel and Miami's offensive staff is working to carve out a role for Achane in his rookie season. That said, can a successful preseason from Gaskin shake up Miami's plans at the running back position — considering Salvon Ahmed played just five snaps?

Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr. will carry the workload in Miami's backfield but Gaskin looked like the perfect "flex seal" running back to help the team overcome the injuries that occur while playing a 17-game season.
