Former sixth-round pick DeShon Elliot was originally an afterthought for Miami's defense in 2023 — how quickly things can change. The Dolphins have been without Elliot once this season, Miami's loss against the Buffalo Bills.

Through four games, Elliot has allowed just two receptions on seven targets and has only missed three tackles since moving to South Florida. While most expected Brandon Jones to return as a starter, Elliot may be the best free-agent signing Miami made in free agency.
