There's well, I thought there's always a lot of cheating things happening on social media, like getting caught people posting that they caught somebody cheating, but the timing was impeccable. Who wasn't that happening afterwards? Um, I would saying Neo and his wife, and his wife did that long post about him, you know, And there are levels to cheating, right, because when I saw the video, you know, you went

out hanging with the guys. You cheated. But I think, like bringing somebody into your home is a non negotiable man, I agree. What are some other things that you would say, even from a man's point of view, is Unforgiva? Wait wait, wait, said you saw the video. In the video, I mean that cheating was still but I'm saying this is a misconception. I'm glad that you brought that up about the video, so I didn't cheat in that video. All the flashes

of reckless ship that you're seeing are her imagination. She thinks I'm doing That's why you see me regular sitting inside somebody and you see a flash, and it's a misconception. That's why at the end it turns out not even my phone that she was going through that made her go all crazy, Right, it was moss phone in the video. Good to know because the whole song is about if I get called cheating, which let's break that down. I'm

so ready to break this down. Um, So, first and foremost, tell me what you tell me, what you tell me, what you what you guys took when you heard the song, just so I can understand, and then I'll tell you what actually was being said. Well, I think guys get cheating, and the main thing they say is that they love you, you know, and guys become up with excuses for cheating, like it has nothing to do with how I feel about you. It's a physical thing. And it was a

mistake that I made. You know, one of the main things that guys always say, I'm a work in progress, and so cliche bars from the guys that you're talking the same thing as they do. One thing I took from it was the if I get caught right right, because exactly, but it's like, like, no, but if I'm cheating from it, it doesn't mean I don't love you. But if I get caught cheating, it doesn't mean I

love you. Like it's a thin line between like what you don't know won't hurt you, you know what I'm saying. Some people say that, um, I love you if I am more slick about it because I'm not gonna care you, so I lied to you to not hurt your feeling. There's a lot of guys. There's a lot of guys that feel that way. They feeling. The effort that they put into keeping it so far from the woman in their lives is because they care that much that that

person doesn't find out. Some guys do subscribe to that or if I lie to you, that means I love you because I don't hurt you. I don't want to hurt you. And I think that if if you let me find out. It's like, because you don't care, you're not being any careful exactly. I feel like if you care, if you if you care about how I feel, you're gonna make sure that things that will hurt me stay out of my way. So you think it might be happening, you just don't want to see it. I don't want

to think it might be happening anymore. But if you don't know, you don't know what they do. You know, I'm a very what I don't know won't hurt me type of person for sure. So I explain it. Daniel, Okay, cool,

So the song is about, like when I wrote those verses, I'm writing about a situation where I'm with a girl who is now hit a point where she thinks I might be doing something wrong, I might be cheating, and I am addressing it from the standpoint of a guy who's like, yo, everything that first attracted you to me has now turned into your insecurities, right. So that's why I say, as a fly nigger, when you got here, I was charismatic when you got here.

I'm saying, girls dancing allow me when you got you know what I'm doing no, no, no, no no, Well what I'm saying, Yeah, it's pretty much like, look if you meet me and and I'm an attractive guy, I dress well. I you know, I'm funny. I'm funny. People like being around me. Um, you know, I'm engaging, I'm talkative. All of a sudden, when you get into relationships, sometimes those things are into us. So you know what, bitch faced you in tonight? You know why? Why? Who you? What

you get? Where are you? Where are you going to dressed like that? You know? Um, yeah, yeah we're going You always gonna be so funny, would be laughing in people's say, it turns into that, and that developed turns into a situation where you know, those insecurities can boil to a point where now she's digging through phone, she's checking laptop, she's this is this is what I'm talking

about in the song. And that's why I'm like, why do we do this when even when when really the truth is because I'm like, look, you got my phone in your hands, You're asking questions. Are you now digging for a reason to leave? Is how it feels a lot of guys you do say if you don't want to leave somebody and you know you're gonna say, don't even look. But if you're on the edge and you're like,

if I find some shit, I'm out out. Because if you look and find some ship and you're really gonna be out and if it really makes a difference and go, But if you're gonna stay, why torture yourself? No, that's why. That's why I don't look through phones, because you can. You show fine, and I agree with you. When when you digging for something, that's because you're trying trying to

find a problem. And so this is a guy saying, look all the things that you liked about me have now turned into this and now are looking for reasons to be upset when even if hypothetical, if that's why it's an if you get it, I feel like you changed the whole meeting just now. I wanted to explain. I'm happy to ask you this. What did you think when he first wrote this song and you heard the lyrics, were you like, well he was there? Were there? Okay?

So what were you thinking when when he was writing this and the whole concept um, was there any hesitation like, man,

that's gonna be crazy? There were certain lines. I think even in writing it, we did change some some lines because like I can't remember what we changed, but there's just specific lines where I was saying in the context of what you're trying to say, that line is going to come off so harsh that the meaning of everything else is gonna get lost in it, feeling like you're just going at you know, women or the which even still I think that's getting lost in the first listen,

a lot of people are kind of like, oh, you guys think you know, you think city up. You guys think you're gonna make the cheating anthem. But it's not saving about that. It's the conversation about where the people are in the relationships or not. Let me also at this the chorus part was actually written by Jermaine dupri and that happened before we even got to the studio that Jermaine's had its own issues with you. I don't nothing. Admittedly I don't know what you're talking about, but no,

you know. So we walked in the studio and he was just humming this thing and singing this thing. I was like, Yo, what what what did you just say? It's like to get everybody else in trouble for his life, and I connected to that so much because great so great at making songs. But yeah, he's I mean, the chorus is so real because it's like, really, when you

break down cheating. In my research, in my life and whatever else I found, it's been it's more about ego than it is about how you feel emotionally for the person. Especially for a lot of guys, it's more about them going out and stroking their own ego, being selfish, being self indulgent, just being out and just doing some bullshit they just shouldn't have done. It didn't all of a sudden I stopped loving my girl, so I did this. I think like that you cheat for different reasons. Who

are you saying it's correct? Sometimes? I think, I think not every single time, but you'll find commonly you hear a lot more times women have cheat, Yeah, your revenge, cheat or checked out or is a lack of something emotionally checked out? I don't know, Guys a chemistry thing.

A guy I can have the girl with the better face, the better body, the better bag, the better and it still do this and that's what more in the moment, but it has nothing to do with it it's you think guys normally cheat down like they cheat with somebody that's not as dope as their girl. They're not looking for someone as dope as that. That's the part that's misconscrewed where it's like a lot of times guys are like they're not looking to replace the woman, They're not

looking to find a new you. This is literally them just being it has you weren't even in the equation, and that's why they come to actually like, oh fuck, babe, no it' there's nothing that you know I didn't because they literally that that's what's going on in a lot of their minds. Have you ever admitted cheating when you got caught? Because I feel like most guys, when you initially catch them, they're like, no, no, it's not even like that. You just been The one time I got caught,

I was caught, Like caught, I was caught. You know you still lie? What was and what was your response to he didn't like? How did you handle it? I feel like that's the day I really truly fully became a man because I sat in the car with two women that I cared about and sat with both of them and just aired my whole ship aired my whole ship. So that time that you said you were here, were you really with it? Yes? He was one of those moments like you know so unfortunately, Yes, I just you

called after that happened to tell them about it. No one, I don't think I called anybody that you got just a little bit. He has sho to the mar um. He broke his car. That was a different situation. Said, I wasn't cheating that one. Okay, um, yeah, so my girls at my house, I think she asked to use my laptop. I had to run out quickly. Man, guys never wanted to use their laptop if you wanted to

catch somebody to care about your laptop. That's how I almost every time I coughter got cheating on me because they left the computer open, suddenly popped up. But what popped up wasn't any anything wrong, but that kind of like opened up the portal and then she's like, okay, well kept looking I'm in here a little bit. No, But honestly, with the computer thing, I wasn't even digging. I'm not a digger. That's what I was so upset

about it. And I felt like God put that in front of me because I wasn't even happening to me too. And I opened up the computer at Boomed. There it was he used my laptop and he didn't log out of his email and cheating. Yes, let me tell you what it was him. He had took a trip with another girl. So he's talking to his travel agent and I happened, and then he's sending her side piece yes. And then he also had pictures like that girl sent him.

And then he sent his sister like this is me on the church and then I was like, oh, sister in on it too. One thing that it was his birthday when I found it on his birthday. The reason I even went on there because at this time it was Gmail. I didn't even have a Gmail. And what did he say? Um? So first I tried not to say anything like but then I started we were supposed to go out to eat, and then I was like, I'm not gonna be able to make it tonight. And he was on his way home from work and he

was like, what was happen? Everything Okay? I was like I just can't do it, and I hung up and then I sent him all of the email the email and I locked him out his email, he changed his watt. He doesn't know what you saw, but did you I still have the email because I forwarded them to myself. When you when you catch when you call him to cheating, When you catch any guy cheating, do you feel like they cheated on you because they cared about you? Luss um,

I think that's half of it. I don't think that it's always a chance that you're gonna get caught when you do it. You know what I'm saying that that means to me, like you went on vacasing. I really dropped you off and picked you up from the airport, I think, and then you brought me back a whack get physically cheating. I also think that a lot of times you have a better sexual chemistry with somebody that you're not actually in a relationship with, unfortunately, But does

that mean you care about your girl? What? I think girls have better sex with the cheaters with the sides which I think, yeah, they're with the person they love. Depends. Yeah, some girls might be get turned out by someone. You're right, because sometimes I know girls that would be like, suck me in my ask, but they would never tell their boyfriend that or their husband, they don't want to look

like he was married. She loves anal sex, and she would never tell her husband that she likes that because she thinks that he'll look crazy. So did she cheat on him to know? She just can't have angels like right versation? She doesn't want him to look at her like, I feel like every time I've caught somebody going out on me or doing something behind my life, like I ever felt like it was because they didn't care about me.

I just felt like they were in a moment. You know, a lot of people don't realize how much cheating is about yourself more than it is about I never think it's about me. I mean, guys like newness, and we like as a woman like I like to be with somebody I'm comfortable with saying. So I kind of like to have said, it's harder for me to have sex

with somebody. It would be harder for me to have sex with somebody new than somebody who like because I feel like guys, so it's hard for you to figure out what we like, right, Like, it takes a little while in the beginning. You have to get used to like okay, to say I gotta yeah, this is how she comes. She likes this position and when they know they can get right to it, y'all. Just you know, you guys just come. Like I write, I agree bands.

I'd rather be with my favorite definitely, Like I mean, now, God is my favorite. I don't care. I don't really care for anything, but just that's and that's a problem I think that I have with dating is is I don't like the beginning. I don't I hate trying to figure things out, trying to figure out if somebody's full of shit or not, and then you give your body to somebody who ends up being full of ship and it's just like the sex part of it. I like

the bear of, like, yeah, doing stuff, getting on each other. Yeah, but it's like getting some knowld somebody in the beginning of scary for me. And it's like at this point I'm just like, no, I'm going I'm okay. Yeah, you know what else I want to talk about before we talk more about this cheating thing. So, you guys did the album with ty Dallas sign Chairs to the Best Memories, And I do really like that album. Obviously. I like this song with Mac Miller. I believed it, so I

explained this to me about that song. She lied to your face? What did she lie about that? She wouldn't leave you? Okay, so you cheated on her in that song too. No, I don't time ties. Verse might have said, like, oh some girl I was on face timing and something something. But the course isn't that is you said? You know you said and you never leave me? Was? What is it about? Tell me what, no matter what I do,

you never leave me, no matter what I do. As in what I don't know you no matter what, man't matter. It's no matter what if you tell me that, if you tell me you'll stay you know. No. I think I think that that's actually a great conversation because so

many people today. I hear people talking about like, you know, it's hard to find your person, and you know, what's what's what's forever these days and all this stuff like that, and it's like, yo, people don't even try to work things out anymore because everyone feels that they have unlimited options. Everybody in every single city across the world feels like

they can get to anybody. I can be a little teenage whoever from whatever city, or you know, four year old girl from small town wherever, and I can literally talk to the Prince of whoever, or the hottest NBA player or the dope rapper or whatever. It's instant now, so nobody feels like anymore that they have to get the state of Yeah, so forever. It's changing in people's minds because how do you find forever with somebody who

doesn't stay for it? Right? And I think that people need to realize that love and naturally love songs, all these things are are changing because the actual human experience is changing these things. We're not we're not interacting, communicating anything the way we used to. More stress. I think the generations before us, n you think we're I think we have way more stress. We work longer, everything costs more.

Even if you look at the age that people would choose to start a family now, that's like ten to fifteen years older than it would have been for sale our parents. Because you just can't, you can't get it together. But it's because women are working now too, because I think back then, yeah, you know, because it's kind of like women want to get their career. I think back then, you know, like my grandparents, like my grandmother didn't work, my grandfather had a job, so they got married really

young and like you, but yeah, she definitely will. She actually got a surgery dounda so she don't got it well, not surgery, what is it? Had? Non surgical you're talking to Mike. I had a non surgical procedure to help me with um my sudden urination control. Yeah, it's a It was a laser rejuven nation for my vagina. Yeah, and it took my pressure down to under two hundred, which is virgin status. So yeah, we're tied over here. She's a vir and I don't got to pay as

One thing that I have experienced is it was almost like it wasn't that the walls themselves

were wider or anything it would thank you. It was more like there was no grip, So it was almost like having two pillows really close together, but not so. It's like going in and out, didn't didn't feel anything. So I felt like I was enough. So she feels everything, everything, but I know nothing. It was it was weird, like I'm not doing this again, or where you like, I'll try it again. That made me stop midway or the bathroom, look at myself in the mirror, say and I left. No, no, no, no,

I said, I just finished. And then I thought about it for like a few days, and then I said to myself, maybe I something's wrong with me. Maybe I did something wrong, like I'm gonna go mad, so you try again the same didn't finish. Okay, it's not me. Yeah, maybe I'll just imagine that. I wonder why this? Would you nothing? Because you know, sometimes you can't You can't tell it. Wouldn't you say, hey, man, you have no grip. She's like the candidates as we are. It's not snatching.

It's like what if she's doing with that information? She can't go fix it. She can procedure. You can also do exercises. Yeah, you can know, but I don't trying to say. It's not that the words, you know what I'm talking about. The reason why we said that, because yeah, I understand it. The reason why we're talking about this because this is the only woman that we've both slept with in common. Oh my god, he's like, so I told him, I said, you know, he's like, I'm let

me check you. Yeah, it wasn't. It wasn't. It doesn't. It didn't have to grab you back. No, it's just why did you do it? If he told you that, I wasn't doing it because he told me. If he gave you no person, she was cat. It was months later. Me and her never really developed. It was fine. It was just like, yeah it was months. It was months. It was months later. Yeah, but it's like six months.

If somebody says, oh, I didn't like kissing a person, later on, you're not thinking about oh, I remember when they told me about man this is like her because he has no grip crazy. So you had the same experience. It just didn't have the did you finish? Did you leave her in the middle of a We don't have the grab back. I didn't leave in the middle. I feel like leaving the middle might have been like try do No. I didn't pick up and just be like peace. I got off I watched the bathroom. I came back

and said, oh, shoot, you know, condom broken? Say something and he's like, there's no way the condom broke because did you like flench yourself? But if she's like I have another one said I don't. I don't want anybody else. So how did you so you did finish? Okay, that's good. Did you have to? So? Let me ask you this as a guy, when you're having sex and it feels like it's hard for you to finish, and come, do you have to like imagine other things? What do you do?

That's a good question, um, and then we'll tell you what we do. I have faked it before, just to finish you just li So what will you do when you fake it? Like make a little twitsch u baby? Yeah, I guess that's the way he caught it right. You're just doing how I'm shaking it over and shake and go that's what do you make a noise? And then you like that was amazing, fantastic. So there was times when I would do that and I'd be like, what am I doing? Where? I hate that? I hate that look in the mirror or I hate that like feeling of regret after you you have so I used to stop. I feel like stop having does you feel like, well, I'm here, I might as well finished,

it's already done. I feel like men really get caught up in the moment and should they regret, I honestly do like it'll be maybe a fluence of their friend or even the girl the influence, you know, because you gotta be a good wing man. I'm time you like look sometimes that I'll talk to you. We can go chill, watch a movie, but I'm not gonna hit just for it. What about like, okay, does that count when you get your dick stuck to Like if a girl that you

don't really like, does that matter of the head? Yeah, like will you'd be like I don't really like her, to be honest me, not as much, not as much because I feel like I feel like, well I don't maybe I've really been in that situation, but I do feel like head is different than sex, different connection there, and sometimes I just feel like like I don't I

don't need to give myself to this person. Like you said the way, there's women that look back and be like, you know, there's certain bodies they might erased if they could, like I have an I have that too. I think all guys who have a conscience. I didn't said you didn't have sex with somebody? You did? Because who like my friends? Yeah, like if that you know, yeah, I don't know what you did. I'm not claiming the body right claiming a body jokingly not really not really. Like

guys get by someone they hate, no problems. There's plenty of guys that do that, right. There's guys will be on a girl they think it's annoying or they don't really want to be around her, they don't want to talk to her, and to hate. I hate, I don't like. Wow, what kind of girls do you like? Like? Okay, Like, let's take a song like the song rude. Okay when it comes to women, like, do you like women that are kind of like bitchy a little bit? Or I

like me personally. I like a woman that knows how to firmly state and set her boundaries and what she wants with other with other people. What I mean is, I don't want you to be um. I don't want to feel that like a harshness from you. But if I see you activate that with other people, and you you can turn it on and off, like when I'm soft and when I have to be that kind of way, I respect sexy. That's like when we like guys that are like gangster with other people, but it's so nice

as we Yeah, I like that. Yeah, I like for my for my guy to be mean to everybody and just and just so like you're okay baby, and then gives somebody else a dirty look. But I think this case about case. Different people have different different personalities that come out around like you or other people. So I don't know if I would say I have like a type across the board like never like if a girl did this, I would never sunk with her. I think in our world we see a lot of nevers, you know,

because we're rude to the way. Never for me, I don't want to be with that's rude that way, because the way the way they're messed up your order. For obviously if they're defending you, but if they're like just rude and you're like, oh yeah, well, I don't like anyone that's rude to anyone, like why you're being rude. But I like somebody that can firmly, like you know, assert themselves at I don't make me feel safe. But I want you want her to be able. I just want her to be able to say to say to

say her peace. I don't want it to be like the person just said this so I went along with this, or I just said that. I don't like that when you guys, want your girlfriends to be like close to your friends. I want. It's not a want, it's beneficial, But they don't. I like it when they are. You

like that. I like it when they are. So you want them to get along with your friends, be relationships where your friends, because because then if I'm if you're my girl, hopefully we're dating with intention, we're dating for a purpose. So if I'm looking at you as someone that's going to be in my life, period, these are my friends, my life. You don't want a girl who's going to be giving your friends attitude like you're always

with him. I don't like that. I don't. But what if they hang out with your friends like without you? Is that okay? That's a good question I've had. I've had those situations. I don't really understand why that would ever be like the norm unless she's like you, Guys, if she if if he has a girlfriend and you're always over there with his girlfriend, whatever, that's fine. But if you're just like yeah, I mean, what if they

already were friends before she looking at me? If they were all right, So they were already friends before we met I met her, but then we're all then we're all friends. But I mean, I I just think that you know, you gotta we gotta still understand one another. And far as far as you know what, Bounty, I don't want necessarily want. You're sleeping over at his house. You know, I'm over here at four am. I'll be

home soon. I'm waiting with Netflix and okay time because for me to hang out with my man's friends is when he set it up, you know, like maybe he's busy and I have to do something with them, you know, like on his terms. I don't think it's okay to just be calling your man's friends, like, hey, you what about if you have a girlfriend and your girlfriend is friends with like your friend's girlfriend, and now they talk it to each other, they become friends and the tea.

I really got to be careful because that's cool as long as you don't have things. If the girlfriends are cool, Yeah, if they become cool, I love that. It only makes things easier go out as long as you guys on the side. And then now what if you guys break that and she still be friends with the girlfriend? Yeah, Okay, it's gonna be a little awkward, but grown it happens as long as long as there's nothing crazy that happened. Yeah,

that's a genuine relationship. That's a genuine relationship. Your girlfriend isn't in the mix of that, you know, like let it be your business. Yeah, but you guys, you guys are still friends. Now. I want to ask you this. Let's go back to this song about getting caught cheating. So you guys roll this out differently than I feel like you've ever done a rollout, you know, for a song and a single and then getting ready for the project.

So what was the process behind that thinking? Because I feel like it's a lot more like bang, you know what I mean? On the blogs and normally I don't see a division. This is this is the thing I can say. Jermaine plays a big part in that and him looking at me realizing my personality, my talents, my you know, my potential also that and he's kind of like put the battery in my back as far as like you'll go on this ship because you know this is you like your you can you can be that guy,

you know. And I've never really had in my mind like the things that are necessary to go out and get I guess maybe maybe the artist's respect, the accolades, whatever, all those I wasn't we never really thought like that, right, But I think that at this point now I'm kind of like, yo, I understand there's this big void in R and B, especially male R and B. Someone has

to step up and be the guy. So I'm like, all right, cool, you know what, you you believe in this, and you're one of the greats that's seen the other guys that have stepped up. All right, So that's why this time around, we're gonna be very like we're here. You guys can't keep pretending that we didn't do what we've done like that anymore. Because when you guys first came out, it was like the mystery division, and then I feel like that was kind of a thing, like

they don't really do interviews. That's why we had your lip tips. I was like, oh my god, they're gonna do this. I can't believe. But then now I'm like, okay, look at them, you know, out doing stuff. How does it feel. It feels good? And it wasn't. It wasn't ever to be hidden from the identity that goes with the music. It was more just at the time things happened,

so quickly. We put out that album maybe a month after we finished it, which was also like a month after we signed the vo We went on tour six weeks later. A couple of weeks after we got back from that tour, we went on the Summer sixteen tour with Drake and Future and then went right back into doing the next album. And for the maybe like three or four years after being introduced to the world, we

were just going on stop. So there was never this intentional like, oh, don't don't show them or don't introduce more of the personality. We just didn't have a chance to go back and say no, no, no no, we're these guys. Everybody just knew us as the like behind the scenes guys, and the music kept coming, so we just kept going with that. But now that we've had sometimes is like hey, come here and take pictures of us and it stands back to back and like, that's not that's not our vibe.

He's a producer, I'm a singer. We we have we have very different you know, personality characters, but we just make great music together. And so um, I think that people were always like, oh, you never didn't post your faces, Like no, we posted the thing that represented us, which was the symbol. You know. It wasn't until everybody else made a big deal out of it, like oh who are they? They were like, okay, well, let we'll let

them wrong with you guys want to do. But you know, we were just we were true artists in the sense of like we really were here to make music, you know. And I think that's pretty evident in our history of our music or discography and so that you can hear that we're here for music right. Um. But now it's kind of like, okay, well, the way the climate is, the way things are moving, the way that the voids have kind of opened up, certain people aren't around, certain

people aren't stepping up in different ways. It's like, all right, cool, R and B needs a face right now. So as someone that is confident in my ability to and our ability to own that space, it's like, alright, cool and go be the face and then we'll stand in front of this. So lvr in and then that's the other team, are we know lvr in m Management. Yeah, they manage Summer Walker, they managed Black, they manage a bunch of artists. Um, they were the same thing. They saw the same thing.

They're like, Yo, if this is what it is and you can do this live and you can, why aren't you just go there then like go be the guy then. So also, I think with the song and the content we knew you you can't go halfway. You have to be very intention you have to stay that. You can't say something that people are gonna take potentially crazy and like hide behind it. You're the saying or you not you know, And that I think was part of the role as well, Like you know, pay attention. We have

a big conversation coming. Was anybody mad in your d M s about it? Like I'm sure did anybody said, y'all some crazy messages? It triggering for something? No? But but the thing about that is this album is a story. That's tell me. I want to make very clear, this album

is a story. And for me to get to the part where crying in the Rain R and B happens, you kind of got to see the part where you crying video done. I did a crying in the Have you ever in real life? Have you ever cried in the rain? You know what? One time in real life? I came, I came. So this is actually right after that cheating story, there was a there was maybe a little well after that. It was snowing into raining and I literally was outside in the snow outside this girl's house, like, yo,

come outside and the rain. So you feel like I deserved some extra credits there, right? Yeah, we said we we we worked things out. We say it together for another two almost three years after that, you work outside in the snow. Do you think it would have had you would have gotten through if it was a sunny day not that night had to be in the snow? What ended up happening? Then? Since you managed to work through that, how did it end up ending? I ended

up leaving? That's a crazy thing. Um, she just we we hit a place where we got I hate this, I hate the word toxic, but it just really hit a place where it was like, okay, you're being like it's like getting aggressive on your point on your part.

You know, there's no peace, there's no this, there's and there was other factors, you know, her mom passed away right around at the same time, with a bunch of like stresses and things that were and I was working on this thing that we put on SoundCloud called Division, so really right as it was happening, I was just like, yeah, it was just terrible timing. So it just felt like everything was pushing and it's crazy because, um, you know, I've been in Atlanta work on this album for the

past nine months. And she randomly popped up over there like they were like two weeks ago. We're still cool to this day, two weeks ago, and she was like, oh, you know, this happened with this guy that I'm out here seeing. Could you come help me whatever? Yeah, yeah, of course this is my own girl. Like I you know, I still care for it. We still we're still great. But um, you know, I just weren't right for the relationship. The way I look at that is like only one

relationship in your life is supposed to work. Then you marry in front of God, the one at the end of it. Yes's work for a little while. Work is supposed to last because I think work is the distance, right, the distance, So everything else is just preparing you for that. So you know, you don't have to be mad at all your ex is. I hate that idea that we have to be like, oh fun my ex I don't really have any problems with my expen either, but it's

really easier. No. I think as long as like, well form the guy that you have his emails still likes, he definitely doesn't have a problem with me. I'm not. I'm also not a vindictive person, and I think like, if I break up with somebody, I feel like that's enough punishment. I'm not gonna do anything else to you, and so I just let it go and then I see you. I'll still be cordial. I don't have I don't like to have like bad energy for people that do.

I always feel like, like, what is love to you then, because if it's if you believe in love and how it's unconditional, the word is unconditional. And whether we're together we're not, whether we're fighting, whether we're not, whether whatever it is, I still want you to win. I still care about you, I still want you to be in I'm never gonna wish bad on you. That's all better

than you period. What I'm saying is I'll tell you this much like I think a like when things are going well, it's easier to be like I wish you well. You know what I'm saying, because when your life is sucked up, it's hard to feel that way, you know, it's hard to feel like I've never wanted bad for any of mine. And then I also love when people like try to hit me up and be like let's chat. I'm like, good, thank you. It's a good feeling the

block and come no, I am not. It's been the block type of person when I don't want Actually when because Mary, if I if I stopped talking to somebody because it's something that they did to me. And I'm the type of person like I just know myself and I know that I'm not I'll forgive it and move on. But I don't think I could get back together with you because I don't feel like I would be comfortable. And I also don't feel like I've ever been in

love like that. And I'm gonna be honest. The email guy, if you're listening, yeah, you know we were to get as a matter of fact, you wanting here something funny. So I was like working on my book and part of it is me exploring like different things that happened to me in the past that made me think the way that I think. And I actually interviewed him about why he used to cheat on me all the time. We interviewed him. Yeah online, we're not didn't put it out yet. She put my book. Guy, he told me

things I didn't know he did. Anger you more. I'm not angry. I don't, I do not care. You know what, he didn't love you. It was because he felt like I don't think so. I think we were a lot younger. And then I also he told me, you know, he was young, he was popping, he had you know, he had a good job. He worked like an investment banking, and so he felt like he was lit at the time. Yeah,

it was an ego thing. And then he also said that I always put my friends before him, but I also always he was cheating, So of course I put my friends. People always knew he was cheating because I would catch him doing stuff. But as women, I feel like we believe what we want to believe, right, Like, you could know some things happening and a guy will deny it and you'll believe it if you choose to believe it. Yeah, we do it. We don't catch red handed,

like how you got caught red handed. We don't catch red We can still we can still lie to ourselves and be like, well, maybe he's telling the truth when he called me by accident. The girl speaking might have been his friend's sister, you know, and you really think like, maybe he's telling the truth. Benefit of the doubt, you know, but you know what it really is. See, I've had

that happen. I've had I I don't know why I'm telling you guys this, but yeah, I woke up maybe I woke up one day a literal knife in my back? What girls sitting on my back? Knife in my back? Oh, she didn't stab you yet, No, No, it was just poking in my back. So I was like, she was like you continue, and I was like what. I didn't want to move because I'm like, yo, don't want to move. And then through the and she's like, why are you answering fucking texts? And said hey baby? And it was

a message. I said hey baby, and I looked at it and I didn't recognize the number for a second scrolled. I was like, this is my anti kim literally how it happened. And she felt and literally the apology that I got was so minimal. Sorry, did you in things with her? That? Not? After that, but I ended the licking crazy girls though, keeping at it. I'll tell you what it is. Some guys, some guys, and I think I might fall into this category. Mind you, if you're crazy,

I'm not inviting you. He's like, I'm not telling you. What I will say is that I think some guy, some people period wo men and women. I think that if we when we've been hurt sometimes or things have happened to us in our past, I think that sometimes we mix up extremeness with you care, you care enough to go do something outlandish, which means I must matter

that much to you. And I think that that I fell into that pattern at some point in my life where it was like, you know, the over the top things that people would do would be my my reassurance that mattered to that person. And y'all said this on lips there is a long time ago I remember, and I was like, no, it'd be like, you don't lest

somebody if you never wanted to kill them. WHA We said this, No, not you, I'm talking about I remember y'all saying that, and I was like, no, not in my world because and I remember people being a comments like, well, you never really love nobody if you didn't want to kill them, But you just said you didn't really love

anybody like that. Wow, I feel like I don't remember when I felt like that, but I may have because I feel like, you know, we've been doing the show for a long time, so I feel a long point at this point, I feel like you never really love somebody if you didn't want to kill yourself over them.

I'm ever going to kill myself. I'm kill you. That's why I'm so careful about who I love, because when you love somebody the way they hurt you, it feels really powerful, you know, it feels I don't because it's not it's not like you are stabbed or you know, like you're not really bleeding, but you are bleeding like

your hardest bleeding, and it's just so it's hard to explain. Man, do you think that's too Like have you ever felt like I don't even want to be here anymore if I'm not with this person, I'm definitely I don't want to be anymore. From not that's a lot of power I think I have I think I have at one time, and I think that that's actually the relationship that completely changed me after that, because I learned to survive without the person, and then from there I became this like,

oh I don't need anybody. When you put up right, it made me pull up that place like when you realize, you know what, it was so dumb for me to feel like I wanted to die because this person was hurting me. I really feel like you come out so much stronger. I know you don't agree that wasn't afraid, Yes, it's like that. Yeah, I don't think. I don't think I was necessary like per se suicidal, But I think I was just like you know that depressed over the situation.

I think that was like deep love. Oh for sure, that was that was that was very deep love, and it was it was it was my first okay, it was my first love. One thing, you've lost your virginity to your first love, like some random no no. I purposely, I purposely when all my niggas in like high school and stuff for like offer, oh I got this, and you know they're happy to be losing it. I was purposely like I'm not going to until I get like I need the one. I was that hopeless for many Yeah,

for sure, I feel like that done different. Wait wait I can wait here, wait wait, hold on, I have to say this. I don't feel like I've ever been suicide, like seriously thinking about which way I'm gonna die right for I never, not one time have called the guy, Oh my god, I'm gonna kill myself. If you do that, I think that's ridiculous. Does that make you feel like I can't leave them because something could happen? Yeah, but I'm not gonna would be lying if I said that.

Some you feel trapped, yeah, and how do you hand and then how do you handle that? Eventually have to choose yourself or or them, your own sanity or them, because you, like you also feel like it could be manipulative or in terms of manipulation tactic when you tell somebody I'm gonna kill myself. What I'm saying there might be some truth behind it, but because they would be like, you gotta kind of be like, yo, you gotta had some help. Then you got like you gotta seek something

bigger than me because I can't. I can't save you. But I would be lying if I said I wasn't so hurt that to myself. I didn't tell my friends, I didn't tell anybody else, but in my own mind, I just felt like, you know what, I just I don't want to be here right now? You know, did you depressed? Your down? Has some drinks and that's it right, But I don't think I would ever love somebody like that again in my life. To your first love, I want to hear this. What do you want to hear?

Because most people don't have that story. I think that story like I did just set it up. It wasn't all that. It wasn't like set up. No, it was just, um, it's actually a funny story because I'm not sure which time I lost my virginity if you put it in. And like so the very first time that I'm thinking of I felt completely different than the second time. So I was like in the first time, I even in, but this didn't feel like yeah, you know what I mean?

Mind you we didn't finish. It wasn't like it was like we started doing it for a second and then like her brother came home when we had to stop. That was her first time too, No, it wasn't hers, So I would I guess I was her who knows who. According to what I was told, that was her second. But the first time was I was like okay, And the second time I was like, whoa wait, happened last time? So experience I say that all the time. I feel like the first time I attempted to have sex, we

didn't really have sex. I think he was just like grinding on my lips or something. I feel like, after the fact, I was just like, what was that? But then when I had really, you know, attempted the second time, I know that time that we definitely didn't. So you didn't come the first time because her brother came over here, so it was quick. It was literally like you know, a minute, a minute and that's and someone came in the house with the stop. So the second time, it

was like, oh wait, what is this warm feeling? Happened? Lest time it was what you remember your first time? What was was it somebody loved or no? Um, yeah, I would say I love with him. At the time, it sounds so cliche because I was watching Love in Basketball. Oh my god, that's cute. That movie has always had like a special place that's special. So yeah, we're watching you had a little next, I didn't know this. This is a great content. There's no reason for me to

tell you, you know, in the movie. And then you had sex during the movie in the basement of my parents. Al yeah, was it everything you thought it was going to be the first time you had sex. I really had no idea what to expect going into it, So I think I had more. I had more of an idea after that, like, oh, okay, that's what it is. You know, I just did it. Did you finish your first time? Her first time? To damn these girls here breaking y'all in real? I mean, even back to the

statement with cheating, it's like, be real. So I have a question about the cheating and the whole be real thing. Let's flip the script. Absolutely, let's flip the script. Your woman cheats on you and gets called and she says, I was just working him. I was. I was coming home right after, like I was gonna getting right back, I was gonna wet wipe it off. How did you

she said that? If she said that, are you saying that she like, Now, if this is the scenario she's saying, if she's saying, hey, if I did, I would still love you or she or that actually happened, and then I found out, you find out are you staying? Are you forgiving her? There was a void I was feeling. I don't know, whatever the case, whatever the reason, but it's not because I have any less love for you than I did yesterday. So I'll answer both of that.

I wouldn't necessarily jump to the conclusion of thinking she loves me less, but I would jump to the place where I say, Okay, this probably isn't for me, because I know how I'm coming into relationships as it today, and I'm going to come into it with it. Okay, look what do we want. Let's carve out what me and you are cool with. Everything is on the table. I'm not gonna judge you. I'm not gonna talk. We're just gonna sit here and put what is okay, how, when, where? How?

All these things on the table, and if she violates that, because cheating is more about the lives, more with the hiding. If we're in an open relationship, it's not cheating. If we're in a relationship where you know, we can have three sums or she's okay to do whatever with a

girl at that, that's not cheating. So I'm saying I just want to make sure we have a clear understanding, clear understanding, and in that understanding, I know myself right now, I wouldn't be like, okay, cool, go sleeper than that. So if she breaks out of it is not for you to know. The other women is different to you than sleeping with men. I mean personally, no, it's not okay. So I was just putting that just because a girl.

Same shit. Yeah, um, I think depending on the situation, I'm not necessarily immediately being like we're done, because I feel like people are people you you all go through it differently and you kind of react to situations differently. I've been cheaten before, and I didn't end it immediately, you know. I kind of just looked at it, like, you know, if this is a reoccurring thing, and then we'll have the conversation then if not, then if if that,

what did you do? What changed in your relationship to get over it? Did you feel like you had to change anything? Like it was it was early in our relationship and she basically called me crying. It was like, I have to tell you something, confessed told me the whole thing. So she didn't get caught. You know, the guy I kind of knew. I didn't know in person, I knew who he was. I kind of knew it was happening. Like in my head, I was like, I

feel like there's a little something. It felt different now, Okay, it's just like I feel like, I know there's something going on with that person that you're telling me. You know, you guys are cool or whatever. The emotional thing that you kind of picked up on. Yeah, just I knew there was something. And then she told me and I kind of had almost like no reaction because I've already gone through it in my and it's like a already prepared yourself. She didn't talk to him anymore because were

you cheating at the time? And so after that, did you guys stayed right? Say did you cheat? How did you did you start cheating? Did you change? But did you change how you moved with her? Yeah? Maybe because it was earlier in your life in the relationship that was at least she's being honest, So you kind of that was kind of like, well, you know, you came to me, you confessed to respect of the honest. Then when you get cut and when you confessed had somebody. Yeah.

But my theory with men is when they catch you with other guys, if they care about you, it's going to kind of make them feel a little different towards you, because I feel like when a guy really cares about you, he doesn't want you to be with other men. But of course not, that's more comment guess saying that you know he don't care if the girls that he's working with, um,

but those are his girl. It wasn't a relationship. Yeah, he's just just like just in general, when you care about a girl, whether she's your wife, e or just somebody you know you're sleeping where, if you care about her, you don't worry to have sex with other people, just in general. Let me ask you this though, as not even because you want to be her man, because I know for me, like if somebody cheating me, I'm gonna randomly think about it at times and get angry. Like

do guys do that? Like did you randomly sometimes get like angry or think about it, maybe even while you're having sex, Like I assume it would be the same. I mean, certain guys, if he if he doesn't do that, if you didn't do that, it's probably because that's not in your personality to sit there and dwell and and do that. But I feel like the same way a woman would is the same way a guy would. I think that's why that's of a girl entertaining even a

fraction of the women that man entertained. Our egos are set up differently. That's my whole point of asking the question. I wanted to get that out of men handle it like, do you want the details like some guys. Some guys would want to know, but you want to know the details. I think that I would be somebody that would want to know. I don't want to know the details unless for some reason you come back and you're acting like there was something different about it. I'm like, okay, then

what what made that different? You know? What was the thing? And I think I would have a moment where I'm like, all right, well what happened that made you feel great about it? If you didn't, then it didn't. But if it did, I'm like, maybe I got some work to do for me from experience. Every time I got caught cheating, UM, it wouldn't like it wouldn't um it would make him you know what we didn't he wouldn't stop being with me.

We wouldn't this. But guys don't attend. Say guys don't leave a lot of guys, actually they will get A man will get not every guy. Yes, guys are not. Do you think there's more men staying in relationships where they know their girls cheating them cheating? The girl has cheated more than guys that have left. Yes, you don't know why because these girls are out here cheating with some guys don't know. Girls are just way better at it. Guys don't want to know. I think girls detectives. Guys

don't want to know that. But every time I've gotten caught when when every time I've gotten court he um like I said, he didn't believe me, but it would he every time I would do something, He's like watching me from the side of it would make him different towards me. You know what I'm saying. Every little thing that every time he would catch me crossing him something that I was doing what he never caught me sleeping with another guy. But there's a lot of different ways

to cheat. So every time he would catch me doing something I wasn't supposed to do, he would treat me different about it, you know what I mean? That man, Yeah, of course she's talking about her son's father. Yeah. I feel like now in my today, I don't have the attention span or the patients to be with more than one guy at a time. But at the time, I was a kid, you know, I was young, and I hadn't really experienced that much in life, and we got

into something really serious. You shouldn't even age exactly, I don't even think we should be. So you feel like that was you were liberating yourself. No, not that I was liberating myself. I just I got my foot into a door that I never thought I would be in, And um, it was a lot of temptation that I fell into. And when you were young and I was young, I was a kid, you know what I mean. So honestly, I never wanted to get caught. My number one thing is because I didn't want to hurt him, you know

what I mean. I knew that it would hurt him, just me talking other people were sexual with him. Yeah, I wasn't even really having sex with other people. I was just always entertaining myself talking to other people with him. No, after a while, you know, we started once we had the baby. We started living separate lives, you know, like I had to. We never got a babysitter soul. If I was outside, he was in the house with the kid with my kid, or if he was outside, I

was in the house with kids. So it was like, you know, we we ended up having two different separate lives outside. And just more of the story is every time he would catch me doing something, he would be more cautious about certain things. Did he catch you because he was suspecting things? Absolutely used to be on my phone digging, digging, digging all day and found it. Yes, But I do feel like guys don't be winning to know so much, like I feel like I don't want

to know. Yeah, yeah. On the Breakfast Club Neo, it was like, you don't want to know if his life. I don't think that commonly. I don't. I don't know what's commonly. Men are in a place where they're like, hey, look if my girl's cheating. There's a lot of guys that I was with that record. I'm saying I resonated with the record, and I didn't feel that way. But I just felt like, oh my god, he feels this way. This is crazy. It was a sad as songs and

that song was written. I told you one thing down you're in the bathtub in the song is sad, but I don't one thing the mini were sleeping with somebody else. It was over. He did not he was not trying to be with me. After that, that sounds like you guys went through a lot together. Definitely did. It's like many years to get to that. Like, have you ever investigated to see if a woman was cheating on you?

M actually no, yeah, the same first first level. Okay, but that was a long an and you didn't really investigate. She told you. She told me, Yeah, you ever been investigated with a woman with that same girl? There was one time I had her phone and I was like, I don't even want to do that. If I see something, what am I going to do right here? That's how I feel too, You know then what I mean? Guys like, yeah, I saw I was looking through your phone, And do

you think about that during sex? Like Dan, she cheated on me during sex, because that's the time when you think about things to do. But I don't think about my boyfriend cheating on me during but cheated on me, And that's what made me. Really, I couldn't do it.

I was like, I'm gonna think about it. Yeah, I've had moments where someone didn't necessarily cheat on me, but there was a bunch of a bunch of stuff that they weren't honest about, and they lied about, and you know, situations that they tried to like hide that came out randomly, and those things have hit me while I'm outing sex, he said, thinking about that ship, and he'd be like, does that make me not able to come? Does that make you not able to come? It makes me, Yeah,

There's accountability, there's remorse, and hopefully there's there's growth. You know, there's a lot of

uncomfortable conversations on it. There's a lot of reflection in the sense of like realizing things about yourself, your relationships, your your interactions. Um, you know obviously you know the sex all, there's all different kinds of things. But I think the main the main point of it is is the journey of the growth, or at least starting the journey, because I feel like as a culture, that's what we need to be doing as a people, as as a race. Human race. That's where we need to be at. It

is like, okay, yeah, the human experience has changed. How are we going to deal with this and get get real things anymore? You know? How do you how do you even know what's real anymore? You know, we're almost becoming more and more digital everything Nothing that's real anymore, you know. So, um, the album is, what I will say, is definitely I think it's probably our most like R and B album to date. It's almost traditional R and

B definite. We're not getting too much of that. That's how you guys had that wedding song on Yeah, wedding cake, Yeah, wedding cake stuff like I do like that. So it's it's very Um, I think it's very like traditional sort of in the sense of like the sounds and how we're approaching the songs. But it's new in the way that it's like the conversation is new because we're living in today. We're part of this generation, so naturally our stories of life and love and relationships are different than

our grandparents and our parents and like that. Do you think about your weddings and stuff? I do? I do? You literally started in my phone. It's crazy, like I hear about this is so not even comparison. No girls gonna like this, but you know, Drake's like saving Birken bags for me. I'm like, I'm already making my playlist.
