about you and your relationship? How was it during the pandemic? Even though you don't know how long it's been you you definitely get to like learn people because it's like you have nothing but time on your hands. It's not like anybody's going to work or anybody has things to do. It's like you have no choice, but you know you're either gonna be with your partner, what you're gonna be doing outside doing something that's supposed to So you definitely

get to learn people. And I've always been a person who like to be alone, Like I used to get tired of people fast. So just trying to figure out how to mature and grow with the person is something that I was learning. Did your mom like him? Yeah, it's a little nervous not. Yeah, it was just like like the last one and she was kind of like you know when your parents likes them too much and

they start ruling for them even when it's over. Yeah, but you know my mother, she'd be chilling, like she's chilling. Like I said, I could ask her anything. I could talk to her about anything. So she's like a real cool person to have in my corner. Does he ever have any problems with anything, like anything you post on the Graham or outfits or anything like that, or do

you think about like that's not even a conversation. What about like pictures with guys or being in the studio with guys or not, Because like, I have a lot of like guy friends. Like a lot of guys listen to my music. So I'm around a lot of guys with their rappers and street dudes. That's just what I grew up around. I used to play on the old boys basketball team. So nobody can't tell me to, you know, be around a guy or not being around a guy.

And you know, like I'm not one of those females that I get around a guy to act differently as to oppose when he wasn't in the room. I'm gonna still be the same way. So what about girlfriends. You have a lot of girlfriends like females, Yeah, like a lot. But at the same time, I don't know, like it's like the females in my life, I look at them more like sister because it's been so many years and years of friendships. So like my best friend, I've been

best friends since I was four years old. Yeah, so I don't really like the new females coming around. I don't try to get too caddy and get into it too much with them. Do you think the other female artists embrace you? Some some of them do, some of them don't. Before the majority, I can say, yeah, like Laki has been definitely showing me love, Asian Dole Mally like so many, so many amazing female rappers Cardi. So yeah,

it's a bunch that's definitely shown me lovely. Would be some like in the City that be throwing little shots, but I ignore it. Competitive though, Yeah yeah, I just take it with a grain of salt and I just respond back in the song. Right now, let's talk about your EP future Proof that you put out like during the pandemic, right and so during this time, you know how therapeutic was that for you? Well, I'm sure it's

a m C two. Every ball was Corona. I'm like, y'all gotta stop sucking trying to figure out the ship that rhyme with coronademic Yeah, pandemic, Every ball was like that, And I was like all right, like, but what do

I really want to say? You know? And I think like, in the height of all the ship that was going on, I started to build out my studio my basement, you know, and you know, um, I think I already kind of had some of the ingredients for a good studio, but I was like, that's what I was ordering mass ship, just figuring it out. I was. I was teaching myself all this new stuff because I knew I would be home a lot, and people kept saying, yo, Torn is

coming back. Bro chill, like you yo, chill, you know, because I was acting like it was over, you know, in my mind. But that's just something I creatively did so I could feel like I had a responsibility to say something important, you know what I'm saying because to me, my platform, I'm not on a big label. I'm independent, you know, so every little thing I do really matters. And I have to think about that ship that time.

I really want to make sure that even if it was just five songs, it was like going to be impactful because I knew that much like now is going back to the drop tops back in the you know, but at least I had that took back to listen to to say, well, this is how I was feeling, and hopefully this was making people feel not alone, right, because a lot of people that would loss And I

know you did too, you know, during that time. And I'm sure for you to even be able to express yourself and for people to be able to relate to you, you know, during that was important. And to put that in the music, yeah, because I mean that's all we have, really, you know, And I think to look back on music, that's our profession, but it also was our therapy, you know. And I think there's so much of the music that

is fun. And I like fun music too, but I think during that time I felt a little guilty to play ship that wasn't about stuff I was going back and playing. I think I went through like a thousand phase. I was listening to the only Erica Badou and Outcast, and D'Angelo noticed two thousand is when all that music was really happening. Kind of the the change between what happened in nine and twenty kind of similar, like a new decade. And K was scaring niggers too. Yeah, Yeah,

everything was gonna shut. Everybody was so scared that I wasn't boy yet, so she don't know I was in Can you believe that? That's wow? I feel old as I remember that, I don't feel Yeah, people was like thinking that their phones and she was just gonna break and like the Internet, it was like the very beginning of it. But it was like nothing happened. Yeah, it was like yeah. But the music though, I think Stink

only came during that time. Voodoo um Ship like like water for Chocolate, all those albums Jill Scott was Scott. All those albums came out with those two years and that's what I listened to it like, wow, sodeed they made this music in apparel a time apparel. You know that life you some good music. Okay, So let's say you have to go to a wedding, right, So dev Let's say you have a wedding to go to and you invite your your dude, but it's your friends getting married, right, who should pay for the gift? I mean it depends if the gift is like a little bit price eed and it's like, but you don't even know these people. But you know, if it's my friend, I would definitely pay for the gift.

I wouldn't even think what if it's a destination wedding, who should pay for the trip? Now? I'm still paying, like your you're my guests, Like you didn't have to even come, So I'll still pay. But you said, you just said that you moved to l A recently, Right, they got jet Suez. You're gonna get on the jet. And weeks ago everybody, and yes, listen, we were going to UM Atlanta and Kanye had won a jail Electronica to come and come to his UM listening session, and so they were trying to book my stuff and then they were like, would you mind, just happened on the jet with the locks. And this was

the day after the versus battle. So my first ever ride on a private jet was just recently and I was with the locks on the My first UM ride on the jet was on some stripper ship and it was on it was on ludicrous is um jet. But he had nothing to do with it. I don't want to put his in. It was he had jet. It was Karma Karma Airlines, which his at and we were we got flown flute out, we got flewed out from Atlanta to New Orleans to do a um to do a bachelor party for a famous UM NBA player's brother.

I do want to say the names. That's fun. But it was like it was like eight of us, and it was crazy because I didn't know, like my first time on the jet. I didn't know that we literally pulled up the car to the plane and you didn't go through like you know that you could really like two minutes before literally literally literally, So it was. It was. It was a good experience to and from New Orleans. But I just recently it was a Javonte Davis was like,

you don't even want to fly pipe it no market? Yeah? Why because it is yeah, oh yeah, because those little planes be scary. Yeah. It isn't a turbulence like crazy sometimes on jets though, because it's so small. Yeah. And let me tell you my first time on the jet. The first time I was on a jet. We were flying from somewhere in Europe to um somewhere else in Europe. We get on the jet. First, I hit my head walking onto it because you know how you gotta bend

your head because it's a little plane. I hit my head walking onto the jet and We got on it and it was fabulous. Everything, you know, gold fixtures everywhere, everything was fabulous. It was just he and I and the flight attendants and the pilot on the plane. But when we took off, I realized that this little plane goes so fast and you could like feel everything. So the first time on a private jet for me was like devastating. I was holding on like are we gonna die?

And then I feel good for him. But I've had better experiences on private jets, of course I've had. Now you was on the party plane. I've been on a lot of Hey Kanye, and Kanye sent up it was too for one of his events when I was living in l A. So I've been on a jet for a Kanye event too. Yeah, it's gonna be what are you talking? Yeah, I'm telling you no jet sweets. It's like it's a jet. It's not the jet that it's not like it's like it's like a uber it's not

like drinks jet or future jet. But it's like, um, it's a jet and you pull up your car to the plane and all of that, and it's a hundred and fifty dollars two hundred dollars but it only goes to Vegas, it only goes to San Francisco, the Bay Area. Yes, and yeah they have an airport in Burbon like to be able to make that. Yeah, but they're like two hundred fifty dollars and you get first. Is more money? Hell yeah, way more money. That's and it's better. Jet
