So I stopped like buying property, and uh, I had built I built a state in Mississippi that I own and stuff like that I had. I got like a food trigger restaurant, twill buses, sprinters and stuff like that. So I do like a lot of different stuff that

I was just smart with my money. When I first start like giving money, were like really I had got out my little uh stuff that I wanted to do out the way like good and in my career. So after that, I just thought like investing and I was just like kind of burnt out don't know, like the cause and ur like that. I think that's interesting. How did you know how to do all those investments because that's for a lot of people, not things that they think about. I feel like I just watched I just

watched the people like mistakes. You know what I'm saying. I try to like just do better. You know I'm saying, I ain't gonna lie. When I first started your money, so I started like just doing all of the normal stuff a young dude do with money, like just spending crazy. But I just got out of my system, like I just keep going, like all the stuff I wanted back when I was like you know, you know, playing with fancy cars and all the you know what I'm saying.

I used to I wanted to get that. But once I got that, and I was just like, I'm I'm over right now. So I tried to get it out the way earlier. That's the first thing you brought for like a girl that you were dating, like something nice to y'all that that's a hard question because I only had money with one girl, you know what I'm saying. She's the only one, like I was broke with like

my other relationships. So but I think I bought her Rolex like yeah, I think of like twe Tweter band back when I first when I first got sat and

stuff like that. You know it's crazy because because then broke gets when you're struggling, those do mean a lot, like when you know ain't really got no money, but he still will buy you something like I mean, yeah, she didn't get mad at me because I had because I was I had signed as little artist, and I had about her one of these carter yep um I had about her carter of yea, and I was like, man, I'm gonna give. I'm gonna give my artis the old rolling you know what I'm saying. And she will not

get that more to people like no, but that that's sentimental. Yeah, you can't read gett she still you got the first look your rings about her like that don't even shine up for real because it's it's a sentimental value in the in the in the gift, not you know they're hers. How you got an Indian give the damn watch look I had. I was like, but she might not want to wear that expensive as And I felt like I remember this. That the first thing he got me when

he got side. I finally got some money. Yeah, I got. I got a problem with like, I got a problem with like being like compassionate, like I just I showed love, like you know, people have different live languages. I showed love in different ways. Like it's hard for me like to be really like but we know gifting is a love language for you because you have no problem giving out gifts. Okay, yeah, I really I love that you even know what love languages are, like music. He got

about that, right. But it's also interesting because then you also say at the same time that you don't have a lot of like I guess um the fact that she's so emotional about something that means something to her, and you know, I feel like you would, out of anybody, understand that more than the average guy. Yeah, I mean, I just it's hard for me because I ain't really grow up like just being in like a super love

and love and family. Like when we just showed like it was like love that it was just tough little like you know what I'm saying, So they kind of like lead it out to me. And now the only way I like show my little like it is by like the stuff that I do because I feel like I knew my mama loved me, but it's like I knew she loved me by the stuff that she did, Like you know what I'm saying, put clothes on my back,

that stuff like that. Machine never just used to tell me like I love you, you know what I'm saying, stuff like that, So me with me, I'm like, you know what I'm saying, I gotta tell you all know, like the stuff that I do show you that, you know what I'm saying that I'm the same way. You know, my parents never was like that growing up. They don't be like I love you, But I do tell my kids I love them all the time because I'm just different, Like you know what I'm saying, I wasn't gonna what

I did. I don't felt my family didn't do that either. I'm like, I'm trying to think of some person's family that I even know that's black for real, that they tell each other they love each other, did or something. It's I mean, now, I feel like now that you know you missed that. I think that in my family, as we got older, we showed love and expressed you know, with through words more than when we're younger, trying to

show that to our kids as well. But my mom wasn't the I love you, I think, but but but really I thought, honestly cool, like a lot of would be like financial spirits, like if you grow up like you know what I'm saying, not really having too much

like our parents. I feel like our parents be like so like screens that sometimes that it's often them like showing little because when I grew up and I got money and I was able to like do different stuff for my family, then we came together more like it was more it was more open with each other about

our feelings and stuff like that. So yeah, when your parents, I think, are proud of you for being successful and things like that, and make it easier for them to be like man because then they feel like they we're responsible enough, like I made this, and look at what he's doing that look at it as an accomplishment and their parenting and that whole thing. So when you ain't got nothing going on, they don't want to tell you that they don't like this sucking bum, What did I do?

That's awful, because you know they always be like, man, he don't do nothing, he's this like the family will go in on you if they feel like you're not successful or you need stuff there to ship. But when you're successful that everybody loves you. That's my baby. I always knew he was gonna be everybody like, yeah, I'll be feeling that. I'm just feeling to face it. I'd be feeling to face I'll look you through it, but

I would definitely be feeling to face family. Not so when you raised about with both your mom and your dad, I will. I will have raised with both of them. But like my dad went those did the man like that though he was just like kind of like always in another state, but he used to like I used to going to stay with him and stuff like that, so he was in. He was in my life though he just wanted he wanted to like household when they

stayed together. They always say that our relationships are kind of a reflection on how our parents were, and like our relationship with our parents, it kind of dictates what kind of relationship you have with your girl and your kids and everything. So yeah, I will you know what I say, I think you overdo like me not growing up the mind, uh with a mom and a dad, And I was sold it made me want to do that more. Like you know what I'm saying. I feel like when you grow up a certain way, it makes

you want to overdo stuff. Like if it makes you do I feel like people have a weak minds. If you do the opposite of what what you was raised like, you try to do the same the same thing is what you was raised. Like if you grew up in a abuse of home and stuff like that, then you want to grow up and be that, like you know, you post less spect for to make you like me growing up? I said about that, Like, you know what I'm saying, I knew my dad was on drugs stuff

like that. That made me not do drugs. You feel my son with what that did? You know what I'm saying, even know he felt love, But I saw what that did and it made me like So sometimes those things are like normal for you. Because some people think that if you're in a relationship that's abusive, that's a love. Like some people really think that that's what the relationship is. Y'all argue, you fight, you know, put hands on each other,

that's the that's the toxic. I feel like every relationship get there though, like that that toxic in that tyme of state. But you know, I ain't really going to try to sing holy in a dog, but I try to like limit as much as I can. What's a good way to prevent something that's like getting toxic, like a toxic situation. I only know these they claiming at my girl, like she type that won't let you leave, like you beginning to an argument, like you can't just

walk out, like you know what. Some people can get like, yeah, I'm open, go around, gonna take a ride, can let me go, So they get mure toxic, like yeah, leave, I can't even leave and walk away. Sometimes it is hard to de escalate the situation where everybody's real passionate in the moment and you do gotta take some time because you're just gonna it's gonna get worse and worse, and you're like, look, just let me leave. Yeah I got I got a big property though, so I just

run out the door. Come on the state. I'm just I'm gonna just run around the land of this state. I can imagine your so mad. I was arguing my man and he ran out the door, and then the baby's there, So you can't leave. Jason and do nothing, just stuff like now does she listen? You just different because I had a song called Tracy song that was real hot like in the underground scene, and that was just like an extension to that song. So I don't even know who Tracy is. I know a girl I traded, but I'll come on now, stop that you know what I I

And I said, I'm gonnanna see down when when you know, when I do this new lissle situation. But I'm gonna sit down. So well, but I was hunting. I would wrap us. Hey, I got. I paid twenty THI dollars in bills every month I got. I got a move. So what is this new situation? It's just like I had read on my deal because I I

do you not the independence I had. I give my deal, not originally deal. So I got they got real up with me. They got real. So it's just like a way five times bigg deal. I had a two. I had two options. Rather to go with a go with a major I could have got over the money going with a major, but I took half of the money to stay in the pending because I like being yea and you'll make more in the long run. Yeah, everybody I know there's a major deal, they just seem like

they just don't. Like everybody talked to their BN major deal. They just be com playing And I'll be like, man, I ain't I do what I want to? Don't you know? Listen, you even got a damn Drake feature without Look, I did the biggest I'm the biggest in my career I've

ever been. When I got off the major labor went independence, store and doing stuff my own way, Like I got this one of the biggest brothers, like I got I'm doing a lot, signed a big deals, all type of stuff like that's independent, So why don't have anybody holding you back? Yeah, you feel I could do what I want? Right? I think sometimes people also see a label involved and

then it don't it's more it feels more corporate. Right then when it's you're going really hard for yourself, then when other people are making calls like on your behalf time things happen. Yeah, Yeah, it seemed more real, like the whole man Drake thing like I don't happen through tis muses and like it happen like when no team in a He's like, okay, let's put this on out. Then we put out the Ice to My Baby record, then Unappreciated record just popped and then slide through just a whole lot of project that I was dropping like the underground. See like I

was just on the underground. So I just dropping dropping hits like I got a lot of people knew by music, but never knew by face. Like you know what I'm saying. and I know people get apprehensive about that. But what made you decide that was the right move back then? I ain't really know. Like even if no matter who you're signed too, even if you signed to a major label, like if you don't go home for yourself, they're not gonna go They're

gonna labor interested soon they signed you. But like if you don't, if they don't, they just want to take credit for what you do by yourself. So even if you signed to artist things, I have to go hold. I just knew that if I got some eyes, I knew what I could do, Like, I just trusted myself and feeling like you can't just depend on nobody, no matter if it's a major label, major artist or something like that, you just gotta still go hold yourself. And that what I did, Like I ain't really I ain't

Because it's interesting to me, like one way you could really tell how much you get along with somebody is

how you guys gel on vacation. I think, really, that's the only time we went out the country or I'll be scared to go out the country to COVID or since COVID, just prior to COVID, like I always just been skared to like just go at the country because I'm so used to travel at like high travel and I don't know across the country, like you just ain't travel like that, so I'll just be like, too much

stuff happening. I just I don't know. Y'all got to make those memories though, because let me tell you something, it's great like presence and all of that. I turned out and all that, But those memories that you make together when you actually go somewhere experiencing stuff together in different places, it's amazing. At you gotta headphones, h now, listen, it's amazing. You get a big gas bill of a private pool, private beach behind you. It'll probably inspirational for you,

you know what I'm saying. So yeah, I'll be seeing all the type of stuff like that on Twitter, but I just don't what they did, Like like some beautiful places to just go, We'll send you some. That's crazy. We don't need to listen to music. We didn't have to wet had kids back to back, so we really had no peaceful six in the y'all need a vacation, yea despite sneak and six sleeky quick quiet? Where do y'all go to? Where's youall go to? be a big laundry room. Just like I said, we're really been We've been having like small babies like for the lands like two years, so we really like just be able to do that everything like that. this whole life. So I had about like real situations Like That's why I like my songs, Like a lot of my songs like you can still play to this day because it's like they just be so real, like it just strike a chord and people. So I just try to keep like writing about the real situation that but the normal person probably I want to think about it like when y'all know things, when nobody's saying get on the before this song dropped, don't nobody saying like

get on love. But but once the son dropped, like there's gonna be like yeah, doing this project together. Mann't know, like like that was just something we talked. We talked about briefly, you know what I'm saying. I know I know he'd been like, uh, his tune in with his m I know it would be great. Like we stayed sending seeing each other ideas and stuff. And stuff like that. So I just I don't know, like I'm I'm hopeful.
