I was breaking out a little bit. I'm like,

So tell us how you've been during quarantine, because I've been of course, you know, I followed you, so I've been watching all your mood and I saw you got nominated for a BT Awards or congrats on that. So creatively i've been,

you know. And my team is with me seven so we always brain some men and ship and like just getting ready for this album. That's all. I loved the liar is that what it's called? No, I changed the title. I don't really love a lie no more, you know. So, and I got in a different space and stuff, so and I changed the album up a lot, so I keepuse that for something else, but now it's different. I changed it. I haven't even announced it yet. Like what it's called lose the liar because I lost one. I

didn't lose that liar, you know. That's what my first album was about. But then you know, I started, you know, making more music and you know, meeting you know, so yeah, it changed stuff for me. That's interesting because that circumstances changed, right, and you're an artist and you're writing these songs. You earned a certain space. But then maybe it just doesn't feel right based on the space that you're in. Even though the songs might be great, you might feel like

that doesn't represent who I am today exactly. Like that's exactly what it was with the album. It was such good music, but it was like so old to me, and I was like, yo, I don't even feel this. We no more, Like it's crazy songs that people don't really relate to because I was going through it at that time, you know what I'm saying. So it's like, Okay, it still works, but I'm like, it ain't even me right now. I don't want to be singing about this

sship right now. So when it makes you stay in a relationship or what made you at the time or a situation where you wasn't completely happy. What made me stay? Um, I guess ship just feeling just being a week and being like, you know, feeling like my man had so much power over me, I guess in the sense, and at that time, I felt like I couldn't be without him, you know how it is for us. Yeah, it's so weird because when I when I my first two loves in my life, I felt like it was the end

of the world. And once I realized that I could and realize that it's a new love. It's gonna be different, but it might be better, it might be worse, it might be whatever, but I could fall in love again. So I never felt like I was it was the end of the world, except for when I was younger. Yeah, just at that moment, that's how I felt. And then I think about it now and I'm like, yo, I cried before, like as someone in my family cried, I mean died, Like that's how deep I was into it.

So it was just like to think, like how I'm living now and it's like I don't even think about him, like you know what I'm saying. It's just like crazy, how much you know every relationship is just meant to make you grow see what you want in your next relationship, you know what I'm saying. And then yeah, just to teach you something, what happened? Like what you know, you

don't have to get to it happen. It's crazy that And it's so funny because people know Danny Lay and like they know my music, they know my every day, my best me music, blah blah blah, my style, but they don't really know like what I mean. I guess you could say I was in a relationship for like two years. It was dumb, low key. Nobody knew about it at all. It was like a secret, look like for real, And yeah, like what happened? It was just freaking just drama. He was a liar, he was a cheater,

and I stayed. I gave him so many chances. It's crazy. But yeah, what did that difficult for you to have to like maybe say you was going through it and nobody really knew because you had the secret to yourself. But then you have to go out and perform or go out and you know, was that ever difficult for you? Oh? Yeah, it's kind of like just being an artist in general.

Sometimes you gotta make that switch and be like, Okay, so you don't even matter what's going on with me right now, I gotta perform act like I'm good, you know. So yeah, you're right, because I would see you out with your girls and y'all be having like the best time, and Danny Lay dances everywhere she goes turn up. Yeah, so in people's heads, like they see you and they never would be like, damn, she's probably going through what

I'm going through or something like that. I mean, the place I've been expressing myself the most, I think it's Twitter, so people do me know when I'm going through it a little bit. And then I remember when I was the relationship. I remember I did some crazy ship I like I put a stop, not even on stop, and it was on my ig story and I was like crying and everything, and I was like this industry. I was like, oh my god, And I didn't realize how

many followers are people. You know, it didn't click to me, like I can't be doing show like that. So many people hit me up like oh my god, are you okay? And I'm like, oh, ship, I was just gonna take this down. Yeah, I think it's real quick. Everybody called me. I'm like, oh my god, whose idea was it for it to be a secret? Was it yours? It was both of ours. It was a circumstance, like it was just better to be a secret, like people need to know because we were, you know, like working together. Right, sometimes we are and sometimes you are right. So what's the craziest thing that you've done in relationships? Oh? My god, the craziest thing that I've done so many No, I'm not that crazy. Like the only thing I don't like it is like disrespect. So it's like you lying in my face, Like that's

just like so disrespectful to me. So like I swung out that, you know what I'm saying. I swung so and I like I like ripped his airing out by mistake. I didn't know that, but I know, I know but it was just like what, like, how you going? This is mat me right next to me in my face, like hell no. So I definitely did something like that. So I had her aunt who was my best friend, and he was playing Dingdong ditch, so I was trying to knock on up. It was in the hotel, so I was knocking on the thing and she wouldn't let me in. So I keeped her car,

and I felt like a real bit. I felt like corny, you know what I'm saying, because it was like I should fight you, and she didn't want to come out and fight me. Did she make you pay for it or press charges there? Anything? No, let me tell you what's crazy. About my life is that I went home and my car accident happened on Culta Sack Street where my mom lived. I was staying with my mom at the time. Three Uh. This guy came down at dead end street hit six cars and my car got total

and I was in the middle. He didn't even really hit my car. So I just went like that was that was Karmen. But I wanted to fight this girl because I met her, like my girl brought her two me and it was a stud. I shook her hand and you know what I'm saying, like she's like, oh, yeah, we knew it, but we're gonna have and I'm like, all right, go do you? And it wind up being a girl she left. Honest, did she have a firm handshake?

You know, she was just skimpy Colombian ship, like she had her stuff together and I did it at the time. That was the worst. It was like she had all her things together and this girl she was Filipino Hawaiian and I was in love with her. I was in love with her. Felt like she was so young. I felt like she had to experience life, and so I kept saying that to her. And then she went and searched for somebody else and I met this girl. When I tell you, I wanted to fight her so bad.

And then you and then I feel, you know, you didn't have your ship together. You went back onto your MIM's house. But I know, but I was like, you know, it's like like you know stuff together. Oh man, I like you. You do stuff like bleach or not bleach. You do stuff like um, key the car or something when you know you can't beat them or fight them

like me. That's how I felt with the dude, Like he disrespected me so many times in my life period, so I just felt like he owed I owed it to him to like disrespect him back in some kind of way. So I definitely key his car. Before I broke his windshell, I like kicked his car and before um we lived in two different places. So like I found some girls clothes and like one of the drums, and I put it all in the tub. I bleached every single piece of clothing and then I threw it

in the pool. So after that, I'm still mad, like I didn't do it like I was, like I was, really, I was like, now I understand left, I like, and so where is when you be beating with the chick you don't even really know because of the dude being an asshole. Whole problem. I don't even the woman being an asshole. That's the worst when you like, I didn't know this other person. There's other women than I'm beefing with you. You only be with them when the woman knows.

Like with my situation, I knew that the woman woman knew about me because you're in my house. All my ship is around. You get what I'm saying, like, so you know that he's in a relationship, and then you do it then to me. I'm but sometimes you don't know what the guy is saying, like they could be saying any lying, but also what what the thing is like? You know, being in this industry, there's so many people

that's coming at you. You know what I'm saying for for for the girls and for the guys, and so how does that relationship work versus a dude that has them not in the five and you're just in you know, Oklahoma chilling. I'm able to be completely loyal to man even though rappers, athletes, all these guys are hitting me up every other day, like you know what I'm saying like it's just who you are as a person to me, like I could do it, like anybody should be able

to do it. A man should be able to do it. Like it shouldn't even be like a I don't know a thing. It just depends on where you are in the time of your life too, if you want to be with TOI down with somebody or even with the nine of five thing and the human thing. I don't know, Like I guess I've been in this industry since I was sixteen years old too, so I don't really know like the nine of five life because I've just been like gout stopped school, Like I never even had you

know what I'm saying, So I don't know. Have you ever been a cheater? H No, I've never cheated on man, like never, never on God on God. I I was in that situation and like it wasn't ever official because it couldn't really be official. So every time, like there would have been times where like he would go, he would like really like do wrong, and I would go and talk to a dude to like go like you know what I'm saying on some petty type ship. But I never like cross that line or whatever. Because at

that point, like, what's the point of that. I don't see a point in cheating for me. If you want to cheat, you just know you could if you wanted to. Yeah. it was pretty that. I was like, oh my god, but there was so and it was just crazy to think like people shower with buckets like it's just it was definitely a wake up call and made me really like, you know, more grateful of just what I have and everything.

So maybe want to like go back there and help too, because that's crazy to live that that way, you know, can't you cook themnican food? I could try. I don't think that's faithful because that allood. That's what. Yeah, I know, I'm okay cooking though, I just like busy. So during Quarintine, I was learning how to cook some stuff, but yeah, what's your what's your dish? promising I can make some steak with some mashed potatoes. Okay, maybe some asparagus green bean, like, I can make some dishes. I can make some salmon. I can make some shrimps. You throw a little, you can throw. Yeah. I may not cook a lot, but I am great at ordering food.

There is a skill to that, like I could know exact I don't know right skills ordering, No, damn there is I don't even You got to know what the best restaurants are to order from, what the best dishes are at those restaurants, how to put it together? So you don't even know I put it on, because if I just put it all, you're gonna be like, hold on, girl, this and I'm gonna do this. And you gotta do a lot to like put you like

a way strainer surprise you. But nobody, just like strippers and stuff like that, they'll wear it all day and do that stuff because it's sexy. And then this morning it was like kind of the same situation and I was like, yeah, I can't come back into a situation like this. I was just with somebody that was at my level, like you know what I'm saying, like and then just going back down and

having to take Yeah. So I think that's the reason why I left, Which you know that's not really necessarily petty, but it's a good why I feel you though, because it's kind of hard sometimes, especially when you just came out of that situation and you're like, man, I want somebody to spoil me a little bit. Kinds of guy's mentalist also a little different when he doesn't feel that confident in himself financially too, right exactly. You know, so that's hard to say. Um So, Danny, like, was it hard for you, like just seeing yourself all on the blogs and everything for relationships that because I know obviously you're in this business like for music and you're working and you've been grinding it out and doing your job. But was that annoying to you? Like is

that stressful to see that? I think it's watched the Shade Room only post me when they has to do it like that type of I think that's why. But it is what it is, like because I see them always supporting girls when they just drop a music video or something like, they'll never just pose my ship, but if it has to do it, you know, I think that was annoying, but I was like, whatever, I don't I don't really care. I think like we all live on social media, but I have taken a break where I was like I deleted the apps on my phone me for like a couple of days. Or do your friends hype you? Like yeah saying That's been several different moments where I mean, everybody's different too around me. So it's like people be like no, I say some ship, and people be like no, don't say nothing, you know.

So it's just awful how I how I act. Sometimes I've been lit too, So that's when I responded, I'm like, fuck, I shouldn't have respond that, you know, it's too late, everybody. I got that with somebody. I want to get it covered. I was gonna ask that do you have because I got a tattoo covered before, but it sounds stupid. It was just my name. I got it when I was sixteen, and I'm like, why the funk would I get my name on my wrist? So

I got that, come on me right here. I just felt like it was in a bad Yeah, like that's whatever. I say. What tattoos you have? I said, I got it. I got a tramp stamp. That's the one. I regret everything. I got a tramp stamp before I knew it was a tramp stamp, so I had. I was dating this Panamanian check and she got I told her my name

was Jada because I like Jada. Pick it back in the day, you ja, So I called myself Jada, so nobody knew my real name and it would be it was spelled j A Y D a. So she got a big gass tattoo on her arm that spells my name. That's not my name. No, why would you do that? Because I wanted to be called Jada. I love Jada picking so much, and then I didn't want I don't know, It's like my family was blowing up at that time, and I just wanted to be outside of everything. So

I was Jada, but you did. Your Ja is just Jada. No, Jada, nobody, nobody. It's like Jada, just Jada. I was Jada, but I got her name. Yeah, it was Jada. It was so crazy.
