What if it was somebody that she felt like she wasn't that important and then maybe you found out later on and she's like, man, I didn't mention this one to

you because I didn't think it was that serious. Would you be upset with her? Um, and it's in the past that was not you know, if I had asked and then yeah, it just then she like didn't tell me the truth about it. I probably, yeah, I would so, but she just doesn't seem like the type of person, or she's not the type of person to really do be like, I'm not I didn't do that. But it's

not telling the full truth. I mean absolutely school during quarantine, I guess. But I was like but the most just I like, I like a girl who pay attention to detail. I'm a real neat freak myself. I've always go that way. Like both sides of my family are like really clean freaks. My dad and my grandmother on that side, they clean their house every morning like this faithfully, you know what I'm saying.

And then like my mother she gets in the morning, she vacuum and she's riping down stuff like I'm just I come from that so and I've seen most of the women in my life do that. So when I see a woman on really treat her environment the way I'm used to, I'm just like you keeping your bucklean, Like, yeah, you're right. I have a question. Have you ever had a situation where you were talking to who are dating a girl? And then you went to her house and

You know what I'm saying. I don't know. I just like you grow, you kind of go through the growing phases, get more selective. You just

be like, I'm cool on that. Actual think it's different levels of like messy or dirty, you know what I'm saying, Because sometimes MESSI could be like I did my laundry, it's on the bed. So we gotta be away that because I feel like, for me, we just got a lazier like opportunities. When we peek, you just like, yeah, so you don't you don't put the seat up? Come on, Jack, what did they deal? I just sometimes I gotta be so bad. I'll be like, throw it out. I think the weight down is worse

than not putting it up. But when you pee on the seat is disgusting. Then you can clean it up. But when you live with a female and you leave the toilet seat open, that's just so rude and respectone we go to sit down, we don't look so now I'm fell in the toilet. Before doing that, you're going the bathroom in the dark, in the dark, in the middle of the dark, and then you finish have facts too, and then you go to the bathroom. Growth. No, I feel like I've been I've been guilty of that a

few times. So sometimes already all right, now, let me ask you this. And you also have this song called too Long? Is that a real story? Like you ever took too long to tell somebody you were interested in? Now she don't moved on to somebody else, uh Conda. But it was from my personal experience, it was more so like it was really a relationship I really didn't need to go back to, you know what I'm saying.

So sometimes, you know, we get sort of attached to that toxic relationship we was in and we want to go back, and we're like, Dawn, I took too long to say how I felt how I really felt because I was just too prideful. But um, from my personal experience in the end, it was like more so like I'm glad I didn't, but I think, you know I

I felt like it was more so just a relatable story period, you know what I mean, just to even Matt just imagining just like seeing a girl or seeing you know, seeing a guy y'all may like just like and then you you're pride and ego just got in a way, y'all. Y'all didn't really say how y'all felt in the beginning. You know what, I had that that defensive the whole time, and then you just now he like married kids and you just like that and that I miss out on the guy that

Yeah, that's how like usually I don't like guys in the beginning. It takes a while, I don't know. And it's not even like an attractive thing or anything, because it'll be like, all right, he's attractive, but like I don't like him,

you know what I mean. I feel like he has to gain excuse me, he has to gain my life, if that makes sense, Like how you have to gain someone's love. I feel like you have to show me why I should like you. And and and soon as she said, ask you don't like somebody I always be like, oh, she like him, she's gonna know she's gonna end up. out with us just kind of really hanging out. We would just we would go to fucking like like Neil Salions and stuff, and I'll just be kind of chilling by the door waiting for her to get done, and then she'd be, hey, you want to get your feet done and something like clip. I was like, no, no, no, you know, I mean, I don't want to show my toes like that. How you have ugly feet? Now? So yeah, we started out doing that and then after a while, I think for me, I started kind of cutting everybody off during the friendship stage. I'm not sure for her, but for me, I was almost like I don't really got like it's like my friend right here, this's like my girl. I feel like we just vibing, you know what. I don't really trust no other girl to really in my life right now to

feel that void or whatever. So I just I was really just talking to her every day, you know what I'm saying. So I was by the time it came down for lockdown, I was already like down. I was like I was already like myself down, you know what I'm saying. So I wouldn't really I wouldn't bringing no more girls over to the crib. It wasn't no girls in my personal space and energy. It was just like she was. Ain't nobody popped up on you during that time, Like where is he? Why is he not returning my

cause you ain't have nobody just showing up. No, I was. It was a couple of girls, uh giving me that like you're ignoring me? Now you're good? Yeah, So did you feel bad? Yeah, like any girl, because say, like one of them, I'm sure he was at least cool with one of the girls. He was talking to because you was communicating with them, So did you like I felt like, damn, y'all, I gotta cut it off. I gotta ghost shot the girls. The girls I was dealing.

We were only meeting up for one thing, dinner, I annoying Sup and somebody got something going in the mouth. Now we was just we was meeting up for one thing. So I didn't really feel like that deeply connected to personally because we hadn't talked about every personally like me and so Red started off like hell like we was

just talking. You know what I'm saying. It was it was the first time I felt like I didn't really just want to like hit it and quit it, like I want to I want to talk to her about stuff. I want to call and see what she's doing. Like it was like everything was like sex was like the last thing one. So that was I noticed that about myself. Are just like wow, I feel like that, you know, that's so sweet And by the time it got to it,

it was amazing. But ship, oh, it's the first time did you last or were you like I was there look at the blessing because you know that waiting and you like know somebody really well and this emotional and then you'd be like, oops, you no, I mean I've had my time, but not that time. You was like, I gotta show I'm gonna put in some work that you know, you know, I feel like it's this it's this thing with guys, and we feel like we gotta tear it up, you know, and you feel like we

gotta just like but then y'all get lazy. When y'all get comfortable and get comfortable that you like turned around, You're like, come on, get on the top. I'm aware of that too, So I'm like, even though it's only been a year, it's just like I always always look for things because relationships can't get routine and born, especially during quarantine. You know what I'm saying, We if we're in a long distance relationship, I'm only I'm calling you every day and I'm asking me what you're doing you

and din nothing right? Yeah, make it interesting, you know what I'm saying. How have you been staying busy during quarantine? Since I've been back in Atlanta, been been moving, I've been stuck in traffic. Listen, we're all At first it wasn't though, it was kind of quiet, I felt like and then out of nowhere. It's like everybody came outside at the same time. I've been in self quarantine since the middle of March, and I've only gone outside about

including today he's six times to go grocery shopping. But the past maybe two or three times that I've been outside. It's like back to normal traffic, back to northern crowded, the gas that like everything is just and and I have friends that are like going out, you know, like the rest of a rounds our clubs. So I have friends that are like going now and the hookah lounge. But I was scared to go to g G house, y'all. I just part house last week. I swear to guy. I was in my house, like g G, I'm not

coming over there. When I come over with y'all, I'm have a mask on because I've just been you know, I've been scared of reading the news and stuff like that, and I just didn't want to go outside. It was definitely scared because I was I spent I spent about a month in l A before I came out here. You know, it kind of it almost never stopped. It slowed down a little bit, but it never really fully stopped. What about filming? Like, what all did it shut down

for you? Because I know we're all waiting for the new episodes of The Shot, which is all of our favorite show. Wait, so like we're waiting for that, so that that is that postponed because of that, and you know anything else that got messed up. We want to see if you make some more kids on there and buy some more sneakers, you know. So luckily with the Shot, we have finished the shot, Like November, we finished the Shot. Yeah, I would say November, so we feelmed four months out

the year. During the summer we usually would start getting getting ready. Actually we usually would start feeling like July or something like that. So, um, by that time we were done with the season. Now Sirea Empire they had to cancel the last two, so they had to edit up what they had and then have a finale. But you know, luckily we were able to finish our season three so people would see the full season three, everything that's that was written. You know, you've been out there

from the beginning and everybody has it. Yeah, boy, Jason Mitchell is gone, Barton is gone, and that's our boy. Yeah, we love Bart. I'm sad about all that ship because I feelt like and I was scared too in the beginning because I just felt like damn like and the bing like the bang on. You know what I'm saying. You know so um, but you know the writers made us feel a hell of a lot comfortable, just like

this ship happens all the time. We've been here before, you know what, other shows like, we can write this ship, We're gonna we're good at this ship. Figure it out? Does Jason stiff reach out to you? Because I know he's been in a bunch of uh situations and I know you you probably separates as far as friendship, but um, have you heard from him? Oh yeah, I've talked to him all the time. He's good, He's good at It's just I mean, I think that Jason has his character

is real strong, you know what I'm saying. But I know, I know, I know it's hard for him, you know what I mean. And just everything's done, you know what I mean. He went from being booked out like the whole twenty nineteen to just what so I know that's that's that's got to be tough. And he got kids, you know what I mean, you got them. So I'm pretty I'm pretty sure it's tough for him. And you know, I just keep him in my prayers and you know, I just tell him I love him and I I

always show a lot of love to him. May think there's any coming back from that, it's tough. It's tough. I mean we've seen we've seen it happen with you know a lot of actors, like you think about Columbus Short, you know what I mean. We think about we think about any that dope actor that was on his way to being like that guy, you know what I mean. So it's tough to come back. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it has to be somebody that's gonna champion him.

It's gonna take somebody like to really be like, look, you know, he made a mistake, but we're rocking with him, you know what I mean. It's got somebody gotta be homee I think now when he was removed and it came to filming and stuff like that, where you nervous about that, like where's the storyline gonna go? Because me personally, I did look at it like, well, this is just only gonna further make you not that you weren't the start because you were one of the stars of the show.

But now I feel like the focus is more so gonna be on you because you are the original character. So, um, were you nervous though, I'd like to see how it

might go moving forward? Yeah? Yeah, hell yeah. I just feel like, no matter how no matter how great I was, you know at what I do, you know, it was just always gonna be like what the fans are used to, you know what I'm saying, Like when you introduced to it's like the Jackson five, but you ain't got Michael no more, and you're just like, how can we figure out how to make this group like even stronger without Michael?

You know what I'm saying. So yeah, but gratefully is that I feel like we do have a lot of great actors, you know what I'm saying, great writers like and after seeing we were able to see this episode seven the season three, Yeah, fire, I'm excited. Yeah, my fan of the show, I'm excited to see the newcomers and asked me too, I can't wait to see I can't wait to see Yeah, and whoever, I'm excited to see, like what moving forward how things are gonna go. So

I personally can't wait. I'm obsessed with the show and it's the first time too we ever got like a email before the season come out. We got an email from the executive producer Jet and she said she worked. She watched the first six episodes of the season and she said, incredible, incredible, incredible all across the boards. Send it to me. I've her know what, I think. I'm still like, you know, that episode was good, but the episode was also still missing a lot of characters. I

want to see the whole season right right. I think if people accept that season three is not like the other seasons, it's just a new season. It's a new approach, like shot this season is a bunch of big winners pushing. They shot it more creative, like the last two was just a little more handheld and raw. Right, it's the camera angles they're doing this time around there, Like way though, your favorite type of scenes to do like deep her fair? Uh?

Love scenes? Do you prefer to say love now watch yourself? I mean it's okay. Do you prefer emotional crying scenes? Like? What type of scenes? Yeah? More comical? I think I think I've been leaning towards more comical lately, just because that's where my personality is, uh on, you know, on the every day for for the most part, I'm pretty goofy and I like to joke around sometimes. Uh yeah, I like those scenes the most, I would say, But

the crime scenes are fun too. They just get a little as I get older, they get deeper because I got I go through more things in my personal life. You know what, I was about to spill some of my case now, I was gonna all, we want to know what you're thinking about to make you cry. Well, I mean just like losing losing family members that are close, like you know, when you think that everybody is just like immortal, like nobody's like my grandparents forever. You know

what I'm saying, you can reach twenty three. We started seeing your grandparents actually look old, you know what I mean, Stop seeing you know, people going through stuff, people getting sick, coronavirus, anything, you know what I'm saying. So you're just like, damn, like ship just ends, you know. So that's that's a

that's an easy thing that happened too. When you going through like you know, those staff scenes where you got like you're at the funeral scene or you had a you know, you just going through somewhere you lost the family member on the show, you just just draws back to you. This might be a weird transition, but since you said older, let's talk about the last time I had a conversation with you on on my morning show. You told me that you have dated or like older

women at a point in time. So what was the word? Okay, screwde like you like anybody. But Jenny's out of your mother's age, like one of your mother's friends, right, because because even in like a boss, she was clearly older than you. So let's talk about how old you want? Um? I think she was like, okay, that's not that's not that that How old were you? I was nineteen? Okay yeah yeah, just coming up, man, I think that's pretty old. Yeah, yeah,

that's not too bad. You know. I mean, I know, as far as the spectrum, I'm probably the lowest on the spectrum. Like you know what I'm saying that, like, I've only I even messed with that much older women just you know, they have it older than me, though they like you, though they come after you. No, I just was how do you have game, Like, what's your game? Like? I tried the game? I don't know. I just be me. I just smiled and be me and the best way to be just be your genuine self. Did you just

And then I think that's something like that when you have that approach towards the women that make them even like you been like, oh well, he don't even care that I don't like him? What were you? A lot of times, you know, with features, people kind of getting a little ego bag and wait forever to send you the record and like you don't even know if they want to do it for really, you know what I'm saying. So she she just she shot up from me. She shot up to the video shoot. It was like one camera, a lighting guy and I was it and then she

pulled up. We just shot it. I like how your career has been going to Like when I you were like young as fuck with you, your mom was managing you, and it was like, I think where were at the B two words? I can't remember if it was there or before that, but just to see the progression, I think it's amazing because it's steady, consistent work, and I always feel like that's kind of the best way to go because sometimes I think when people come out and

it's just too much, too soon. Michael, that's a lot hard her definitely going there. I'm definitely going there at the long route and you know, the hard rout, you know.

I feel like throughout my career there's always been like somebody that just seems to bringing to me at that moment, but then like I just keep I just keep going, you know what I mean, Like I never I never stopped from the music to the firm, like I'm always I'm always booked, get busy, Like you feel like being the fact that you're able to act and sing and wrapping everything that it makes it a little easier for you.

Because I know there's a lot of people that came out singing when they were younger, and now I feel like it just does not connect with them for some reason. But with you, it's like we all knew that you came out when you were really young singing, but then we see you in all these movies and all these shows, and it's just like you're just getting Like Angela said, you're just getting bigger and bigger and better. And it's like that, like, how does that fail to be able

to be the one? Because it's not a lot of y'all that we're able to go from being a child starts and now keeping against I think I think that's really the just part about coming in and in a young age is the growing up part, Like how are people gonna take me serious as an adult? And that was something I was thinking about early on. So when I was going to different labels and stuff and I met with you know, like Atlantic and Epic, and it was just like, yeah, y'alls are taking to Hollywood records.

They know what to do with these kids. Like I'm thinking to myself, like I'm thinking ten years down the road, like how am I gonna be perceived in the Originally I didn't even want my first single to come out. I didn't even want like them all. It was one of my first records I got uh that came out when I was signed, and it was like a really

poppy kiddy song I didn't come out. I knew how tough it was gonna be to breakthrough that breakthrough that record, and it's still one of my most popular songs, like girl still and not single like I'm off, I'm like, do you still beform that I still performing? It ain't now? And then because you know, I'm feel grateful that it, you know, it got me where I am, so I can't forget about you know what I'm saying. And if it's a fan favorite, I gotta give it to him.

But at that time, I didn't want it to come out just because I feel like, you know, I wanted to make I wanted to make mature records at a young age. So when I when I reached his age, it was like, oh, yeah, he's been. He's been as a kid. This is littleigg been singing a boy this, you know what I'm saying. Like Michael Jackson, remember when he was all young singing all these stories about We're like what do you know nothing about that? Thing about

Ben Right? Like Usher? When when Usher first came out, they were like, he's just he's a kid. He's a kid. He's talking like this and like that some team talking about all types of sex and ship, always calling out as a child, I always came out. He was like the perfect age. I was already there. It clicked, you know what I'm saying. So I've always just kind of wanted to be ahead of the curve. You also have a famous last name. That's something we all know and love.

Because now Michael Jordan obviously said he was banging out to that Kenny Lattimore single and he have you ever had somebody that reached out to you that kind of shocked you, that was like, yo, you your music inspires me. Um, not somebody at that level of successful. We don't get no big. I think that documentary just made me realize how massive he was. Sold

out doms like he was. He was a real in entertainment. So it hasn't been someone that like magnitude. But I do remember when I when I went to see Lebron play in Cleveland for the last time. Uh, Kevin Durant noticed me. He was like, but it wasn't it wasn't about the music. It was just about the shot. And I was just you know, he was kind of standing at me, and I'm thinking, I'm already in this place where I'm in this hotel. I don't know if I'm

supposed to be where I'm supposed to be. You know, I don't know if you about to call security on me crazy. I'm kind of sweating, Like, let me ask you this. For a lot of people they are dealing with like long distance relationships during this quarantine. So what do you and Saraya do just to make sure that y'all keep it like, you know, together and sexy and spicy um. I think sometimes we ask each other the hard questions, like what's something that she don't like about

me that I could I could just do better? Or like just I don't know. We kind of we're always trying to work on ourselves. But that's like last night we were just before the album came out. We just smoked some hooka drinking wine in the kitchens, and I think for me, it's just about just sort of keeping it fresh and everything, like getting comfortable, like always sort of I like floating with it, like I could you know what I'm saying up to see, Yeah, do you

like role play? Since you said you like flirting with her? Do you ever do any type of role play? You guys act? So that could actually work out really right, Like why now that would be like the ul actor and actress. I maybe goofy sometimes and then she'd be like, see, this is why I came. we just we just communicate. I mean we don't we didn't complicate it. It is what it is in my head. You'll be like dancing in the house together. You just act like we knew how to sauce a dance that fell over the couch and then uh working out together a lot. Uh just do you ever get competitive?

But when you pee on the seat is disgusting. Then you can clean it up. But when you live with a female and you leave the toilet sea open, that's just so rude and respect phone. We go to sit down and we don't look so now I'm selling and toilet before doing because you're going the bathroom in the dark, in the dark, in the middle of the dark, and then you finished hover facts too, and then you go to the bathroom. Growth. No, I feel like I've been I've been guilty of that a few times. So sometimes

But um, from my personal experience, in the end, it was like more so like I'm glad I didn't but think, you know,

I heard the song. I feel like it was more so just a relatable story period, you know what I mean, just to even Matt just imagining just like seeing a girl or seeing you know, seeing a guy, y'all made like just like and then you you're pride and ego just got in a way, y'all. Y'all didn't really say

how y'all felt in the beginning. Because obviously you start off dating somebody, but then you shift to the phase where you're like, okay, this my girl, Like what made you realize that's what you wanted? Um? It was kind of like we was in Chicago. I think it started started out with us just kind of

really hanging out. We would just we would go to fucking like like Neil Salions and stuff, and I'll just be kind of chilling by the door waiting for her to get done, and then she'd be like, hey, you want to get your feet done and something like clip. I was like, no, no, no, you know, I mean, I don't want to show my toes like that. How you have ugly feet? Now? I don't really think I got ugly feet, but uh yeah I definitely got better

feet than what they said. Oh I got I got some rock now, Yeah, that's how about to celebrate with you? This is a new summer watermelon. So yeah, we started out doing that and then after a while, I think for me, I started kind of cutting everybody off during the friendship stage. I'm not sure for her, but for me, I was almost like I don't really gott like it's like my friend right here, this's like my girl. I

feel like we just vibing, you know what. I don't really trust no other girl to really in my life right now, to feel that void or whatever. So I just I was really just talking to her every day, you know what I'm saying. So I was by the time it came down for lockdown, I was already liked. I was like, I was already like, you know what I'm saying. So I wouldn't really I wouldn't bringing no more girls over to the crib. It wasn't no girls in my personal space and energy. It was just like

she was. Ain't nobody pop up on you during that time? Like where is he? Why is he not returning? My cause you ain't have nobody just showing up now, I was. It was a couple of girls, uh giving me that like you're ignoring me now you're yeah, So did you feel bad? Yeah? Like any girl, because say, like one of them, you, I'm sure he was at least cool with one of the girls you was talking to because you was communicating with them. So did you like felt like, damn, y'all,

I gotta cut it off. I gotta ghost show the girls. The girls I was dealing. We were only meeting up for one thing, dinner, so annoying, and somebody got something going in the mouth. Now we was just we was meeting up for one thing. So I didn't really feel like that deeply connected to personally because we hadn't talked about every personally like me and so Red started off like hell like we was just talking, you know what

I'm saying. It was it was the first time I felt like I didn't really just want to like hit it and quit it, like I want to I want to talk to her about stuff. I want to call and see what she's doing. Like it was like everything was like sex was like the last thing in my mind. So that was I noticed that about myself. I just like, wow, I feel like that, you know, that's so sweet. And by the time it got to it, it was amazing.

But oh, it's the first time did you last or were you like I was there, look at the blessing because you know that waiting and you like know somebody really well and this emotional and then you'd be like, oops, you know. I mean, I've had my time, but not that time. You was like, I gotta show I'm gonna put in some work that you know, you know, I feel like it's this, it's this thing with guys and we feel like we gotta tear it up, you know what, and you feel like we gotta just like but then

y'all get lazy. When y'all get comfortable, be comfortable that you like turned around, You're like, come on, get on the top. I'm aware of that too, so I'm like, just ave. Even though it's only been a year. It's just like I always always look for things because relationships can't get routine and born, especially during quarantine. You know what I'm saying, we were in a long distance relationship. I'm only I'm calling you every day and I'm asking

you what you're doing you and din nothing right? Yeah, make it interesting, you know what I'm saying. How have you been staying busy during quarantine? Since I've been back in Atlanta, um, and I've been been moving. I've been stuck in traffic. Listen, we're all. At first it wasn't though, it was kind of quiet, I felt like, and then out of nowhere, it's like everybody came outside at the

same time. I've been in self quarantine since the middle of March, and I've only gone outside about including today, he's six times to go grocery shopping, but the past maybe two. With three times that I've been outside. It's like back to normal traffic, back to North crowded, the gas that like everything is just and and I have friends that are like going out, you know, like the rest of the rounds are clubs. So I have friends

that are like going out and the hookah lounge. But I was scared to go to g G house, y'all. I just the party's house. Last week, I swear to guy, I was in my house, like, g G, I'm not coming over there. When I come over, y'all, I'm have a mask on because I've just been you know, I've been scared of reading the news and stuff like that, and I just didn't want to go outside. It was definitely scared because I was I spent I spent about a month in l a before I came out here.

You know, it kind of it almost never stopped. It slowed down a little bit, but it never really fully stopped. What about filming? Like, what all did it shut down for you? Because I know we're all waiting for the new episodes of The Shot, which is all of our favorite show. Wait, so like we're waiting for that? Did that? Is that postponed because of that? And you know anything else that got messed up? We want to see if you make some more kids on there and buy some

more sneakers on you know. So luckily with the Shot, we have finished the shot, Like November we finished the shot. Yeah, I would say November, so we feeled four months out the year. During the summer we usually would start getting getting ready. Actually we usually would start feeling like July or something like that. So, um, by that time we were done with the season. Now Sirea Empire they had to cancer the last two so they had to edit

up what they had and then have a finale. But you know, luckily we were able to finish our season three, so people would see the full season three, everything that's that was written. You know, you've been on there from the beginning and everybody has it. Yeah, boy, Jason Mitchell is gone. Barton is gone and that's our boy. Yeah, we love bart I'm sad about all that ship because I feel like and I was scared too in the beginning because I just felt like them like and the

being like the bang on. You know what I'm saying. You know so um, but you know the writers made us feel a hell of a lot comfortable, just like this ship happens all the time. We've been here before, you know what, other shows like, we can write this ship. We're gonna we're good at this ship. Does Jason Stiff reach out to you? Because I know he's been in a bunch of uh situations and I know you you probably separates as far as friendship, but um, have you

heard from him? Oh yeah, I talked to him all the time. He's good, He's good. It's just I mean, I think that Jason has his character is real strong, you know what I'm saying. But I know, I know, I know it's hard for him, you know what I mean, Like and just everything's done, you know what I mean. He went from being booked out like the whole twenty nineteen to just what so I know that's that's that's got to be tough. And he got kids, you know what I mean, He got him, So I'm pretty I'm

pretty sure it's tough for him. And you know, I just keep him in my prayers and you know, I just tell him my love him and I always show a lot of love to him. I think there's any coming back from that. It's tough. It's tough. I mean we've seen we've seen it happen with you know a lot of actors, like you think about Columbus Short, you know what I mean, We think about we think about any that dope actor that was on his way to being like that guy, you know what I mean. So

it's tough to come back. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it has to be somebody that's gonna champion him. It's gonna take somebody like to really be like, look, you know, he made a mistake, but we're rocking with him, you know what I mean. It's got somebody got a

big home in you. I think now when he was removed and it came to to filming and stuff like that, where you nervous about that, like where's the storyline gonna go because me personally, I did look at it like, well, this is just only gonna further make you not that you weren't the start because you were one of the stars of the show, But now I feel like the focus is more so gonna be on you because you are the original character. So, um, were you nervous though,

I'd like to see how it might go moving forward? Yeah? Yeah, hell yeah. I just feel like no matter how no matter how great I was, you know at what I do, you know, it was just always gonna be like what the fans are used to, you know what I'm saying, Like when you introduced to it's like the Jackson five, but you ain't got Michael no more, and you're just like, I can figure out how to make this group like even stronger with out Michael. You know what I'm saying.

So yeah, but gratefully is that I feel like we do have a lot of great actors, you know what I'm saying, Wait, writers like and after seeing we were able to see episode seven the season three, Yeah, fire, I'm excited, yeah, of the show. I'm excited to see the newcomers. He asked me too, I can't wait to see I can't wait to see character. Yeah, and whoever, I'm excited to see like what moving forward, how things are gonna go. So I personally can't wait. I'm obsessed

with the show. And it's the first time too we ever got like a email before the season come out. We got an email from the executive producer Jet and she said she worked. She watched the first six episodes of the season and she said, incredible, incredible, incredible all across the boards. So excited. Send it to me. I'll love her, know what. I think. I'm still like, you know, that episode was good, but the episode was also still

missing a lot of characters. I want to see the whole season, right right, I think if people accept that season three is not like the other seasons, it's just a new season. It's a new approach, like shot this season as a bunch of big winners pushing. They shot it more creative, like the last two was just a little more handheld and raw. Right, it's the the camera angles they're doing this time around. They're like, way, though, what do your favorite type of scenes to do? Like,

do you prefer uh love scenes? Do you prefer to say love? Now? Watch yourself? I mean, it's okay. Do you prefer emotional crying scenes? Like what type of scenes? Yeah? More comical. I think I think I've been leaning towards more comical lately, just because that's where my personality is, uh on, you know, on the every day For for the most part, I'm pretty goofy and I like to joke around sometimes. Uh yeah, I like those scenes the most, I would say, But the crime scenes are fun too.

They just get a little as I get older, they get deeper because I got I go through more things in my personal life, you know what I mean. I was about to spill some of my case now I was gonna ask, what do you go back, speller. We want to know what you're thinking about to make you cry. Well, I mean, just like losing losing family members that are close, like you know, when you think that everybody is just like immortal, like nobody's like my grandpa. You know what

I'm saying, You can reach twenty three. We started seeing your grandparents actually look old, you know what I mean, Start seeing you know, people going through stuff, people getting sick, coronavirus, anything, you know what I'm saying. So you're just like damn,

like ship just ends, you know. So that's that's a that's an easy thing that happened too when you going through like you know those staff scenes where you you got like you're at the funeral scene or you had a you know, you just going through somewhere you lost the family member on the show. You just it just draws back to you. This might be a weird transition.

But since you said older, let's talk about the last time I had a conversation with you on on my morning show, you told me that you have dated or like older women at a point in time. So what was the word? Okay, rude? Like you like anybody for jennybody of your mother's age, like one of your mother's friends, right, because because even in like a boss, she was clearly older than you. So let's talk about how old you want? Um, I think she was like, okay, that's not that's not

that that How old were you? I was nine nineteen? Okay, yeah, just coming up, man, I think that's pretty old. Yeah, yeah, that's not too bad. You know. I mean, I know as far as the spectrum, I'm probably the lowest on the spectrum. Like you know what I'm saying that like I've only I even messed with that much. Older women just you know, they have it older than me though they like you, though they come after you. No, I just how do you have game? Like? What's your game? Like?

I tried the game? I don't know. I just beat me. I just smile and be me and the best way to be just be your genuine self. Did you just buy this g that's that was game? Game? Every time I smile, the pennies dropped. I've never I've never been about it. Yeah, and it's a good and like me. For me, it's just like that was it? And then I think that's something like that when you have that approach towards women that make them even like you been like, oh well, he don't even care that I don't like him.

Was she definitely turned yeah cheap man like Mulatto, super cool. I feel like features for me right now are just marsh start relationships and based energy.

So the energy she showed towards me was just like so genuine and so cool and then my boy Branding is actually managing her now, so you know, we tired it in that way, and she just like io with the song. She sent me the verse back a shot, you know what I mean. A lot of times, you know, with features, people kind of getting a little ego bag and wait forever to send you the record and like you don't even know if they want to do it

for really, you know what I'm saying. So she she just she shot up from me, She shot up to the video shoot. It was like one camera, a lighting guy and I was it and then she pulled up. We just shot it. I like how your career has been going to Like when I you were like young as fuck with your mom was managing you, and it was like, I think where were at the B two words?

I can't remember if it was there or before that, But just to see the progression I think is amazing because it's steady, consistent work, and I always feel like that's kind of the best way to go because sometimes I think when people come out and it's just too much too soon. Michael, that's a lot harder. Definitely going there. I'm definitely going there. At the long route and you

know the hard route. You know. I feel like throughout my career there's always been like somebody that just seems to bigger than me at that moment, but then like I just keep I just keep going, you know what I mean, Like I never I never stopped from the music to the film, Like I'm always I'm always booked, but they're busy, Like you feel like being the fact that you're able to act and sing and wrapping everything

that it makes it a little easier for you. Because I know there's a lot of people that came out singing when they were younger, and now I feel like it just does not connect with them for some reason. But with you, it's like we all knew that you came out when you were really young singing, but then we see you in all these movies and all these shows, and it's just like you're just getting like Angela said,

you're just getting bigger and bigger and better. And it's like that, like, how does that fail to be able to be the one? Because it's not a lot of y'all that we're able to go from being a child start to now. I think I think that's really the toughest part about coming in and in at a young age is the growing up part, Like how are people gonna take me serious as an adult? And that was

something I was thinking about early on. So when I was going to different labels and stuff and I met with you know, like Atlantic and Epic, and it was just like, yeah, y'all should take them to Hollywood Records. They know what to do with these kids. Like I'm thinking to myself, like I'm thinking ten years down the road, like how am I gonna be perceived? And originally I didn't even want my first single to come out. I

didn't even want like them all. It was one of my first records I got uh that came out when I was signed, and it was like a really poppy kiddy song I didn't come out. I knew how tough it was gonna be to breakthrough that breakthrough that record, and they're still one of my most popular songs, like girl still and not single, Like I'm off, I'm like, nah, do you do you still perform that? I'm still performing?

It ain't now and then because you know, I'm still grateful that it, you know, it got me where I am, So I can't forget about you know what I'm saying, And if it's a fan favorite, I gotta give you to him. But at that time, I didn't want it to come out just because I feel like, you know, I wanted to make I wanted to make mature records at a young age. So when I when I reached his age, it was like, oh, yeah, he's been. He's been as a kid. It's literally been singing by this,

you know what I'm saying. Like Michael Jackson, remember when he was a y'all singing all these stories about We're like what did you don't know nothing about that thing about ben Right? Like Usher? When when Usher first came out, they were like, he's just he's a kid. He's a kid. He's talking like this and like that some team talking about all types of sex and ship always out as a child, always came out. He was like the perfect age. I was already there. It clicked, you know what I'm saying.

So I've always just kind of wanted to be ahead of the curve. You also have a famous last name. That's something we all know and love. Kenny one Tea, one tea. I see the last dance though, That's what I was gonna bring up, so, have you ever had somebody because now Michael Jordan obviously said he was banging out to that Kenny Lattimore single, And have you ever had somebody that reached out to you that kind of shocked you, that was like, yo, you your music inspires me. Um,

not somebody at that level of success. But we don't get no big. I think that documentary just made me realize how massive he was. Sold out doms like he was. He was a real in entertainment. So it hasn't been someone that like magnitude. But I do remember when I when I went to see Lebron play in Cleveland for the last time. Uh, Kevin Durant noticed me and he was like, but it wasn't it wasn't about the music,

it was just about the shot. And I was just, you know, he was kind of standing at me, and I'm thinking, I'm already in this place, where I'm in this hotel. I don't know if I'm supposed to be where I'm supposed to be. You know, I don't know if you're about to call security on me crazy. I'm kind of sweating like that. Let me ask you this, for a lot of people they are dealing with, like long distance relationships during this quarantine. So what do you and Saraya do just to make sure that y'all keep

it like, you know, together and sexy and spicy? Um. I think sometimes we asked each other the hard questions, like what's something that she don't like about me that I could I could just do better?
