of money on the first date with somebody. I don't think it's um. I don't think you should go into it thinking about it. I agree, I don't think there's a right amount, but we're on average. What would you say, like, Okay, let's just say you can only bring cash. How much cash do you bring for the first date, would you approximate I would just shoot to have fun, you know, like if I'm with somebody or if I'm by myself, I just like to have fun. I just like that

have a good time. I'm from Detroit, though I'm not like a you know what I mean, Like we don't really get into the whole tricking and ship, you know, but today the first date trick know I'm saying, in terms of calling it, we don't. We don't get into that first we do. We do what we want to do. I like that. So would it be basically how you feel towards a woman based you know how much she was spending, like spending her think she would? I think if you know, if I'm with her, she's just with me.

She's doing what I want to do. But it's the first date. Now. The reason I asked this is because I'm baller alert. They had posted this conversation right now. The girl said, if you want to see me, plan a date worth having. He said, I like to have a simple meat and greet to make sure there's a mutual interest before planning an extravagant date. That's why I said, let's go to Starbucks or something like that, and she said, I don't do drinks or coffee, and he said, but

what do you do? She said, I would much rather you meet meet you for a date that you plan so I can look good. And he said, sorry, but that that's not gonna work for me. Good luck to you though, exactly. Yeah, who hang in that situation would

you say? I mean, I'm not in a position to say that he's wrong, you know what I'm saying, Like he you never know what his financial situation is, his financial situation, you never know what his past history is with people, you know, like there's certain things that could have happened to automatically stand towards financials. When I hear that, I understand what I'm saying. Let's just kind of meet

in person before we go do something. And I waste my time, not even just my money, but I feel like my time is more valuable than in the amount of money. Of course I can't get there. But then he said an extrave again first date. Like she's not saying, Okay, I need you to spend hundreds of dollars on me and take me somewhere extravagant, but she's saying I don't want to just go to Starbucks, like I want you to at least make a little effort. They put too

much thought into it. He should have just been like, hey, let's meet off for some goalfee you really quick, and then you can't. You're not and then you don't the first day, but you know you don't. You don't think of it as a first day. You just never never look at it like first day exactly. You could be out with somebody I don't know I met I just

when you met her. You should know if you want to take her out on the real day or not exactly, because you can start bucks to Yeah, but she was she was nasty about it, you know, she was nasty. She was nasty, Like you don't even deserve to have a nice day. Why can't we just meet up? But could setting the standard like not pressed up with me, you saying you think you could just take me for

Like I kind of feel like sometimes in the first day that guy should be trying to like compress order to try to show you, Okay, I planned something out and I think that it's important enough to make that effortive. It could be Hey, let's go to the arcade or you know something fine, but playing something I agree with you, and just like you know your serd words, it could be her past. She

could have doubled guys. I just wanted to get her dominoes and or I mean, you know, or either get on a pizzahead exactly. You don't carry out so baby down. So maybe now she's like, look, enough is enough. I don't want to know goddamn a kuiato, you know what I mean. I don't want some goddamn no. But you know he's gonna understand. It's a little crazy to even

like had that kind of disagreement that so early. Yeah exactly, it's like I mean, but just like you said, if she hanging with me, she hanging with me, so you know, go through the chemistry engine. Don't don't dumb it down. If you wouldn't go to Starbucks by yourself, don't try to like take her there, you know what I'm saying. No, but I think when you do that, like oh, just to meet up, like oh where you're at? Oh, I'm

But this is a plan first date, not enough plan for That's what I'm thinking, like you're giving yourself a break, like you get to see each other regular, you don't have to get dressed for that, you know what I mean. But the first date, that's not the first date you could go into Starbucks is like exactly three day are exactly if you've been going like when you ask somebody for dinner, you know what I mean, that's the first date.

You know, I have a dinner. You could judge that as a first date, a noble all day and then every single day and then Friday you go, yeah, let's meet a Starbucks. Because I just want to make sure you're not exactly you're getting this pumper brains. This is because I don't drink coffee. So if you say let's go out, yeah, that's not doesn't really do much for me. Doesn't mean anywhere I'm funny, you know, so I'm respect I'm declining. Yeah, yeah, I think I think I would

feel strange. I for guys like my Starbucks want to be me at Starbucks. I don't drink coffee. But if a guy hit me and was like, hey, I'm at John with juice, want to meet me at John? I mean, I like exactly exactly. Yeah, have you ever made a bad first date impression? I haven't been on many dates really, not even in your youth, not really not really like

I was. I was, I was. I've been with my girls since eighteen, so like I went through this long thing like I'm anna recovering alcoholic, So like I went through ten years of being like an extreme alcoholic. So I did like a lot of cheating, really date that much, meet girls, like have them come to the shows like that. It wasn't like I'm going to take you out. It was Yeah, it wasn't. It wasn't never like a drunken SMA. I never. I never. I never went through I haven't.

I can't remember a time where I went through like according process, I don't know what that was your first day? What about your first day with your wife? Do you remember that? Um? Yeah, yeah, yeah. We went to Denny's. We went to we were we were eighteen, and I remember us going there. It was like it was like a double date and um, me and my friend had to go to the bathroom and like antie up money. We don't know if we had when that check gonna come.

I don't h I think with you very few minutunderstand in how to differentiate between courting sleeping with someone in dating. At least you you understand that some people they really don't know how to date or how to court. They're like, what do you mean courting you? And then they get actually turned off. And I know a lot of times we all speak about that. A lot of men don't

know the difference between courting and dating. They just think like, oh, let's hang on the Starbucks, like you know, stepping me said, and it's just okay, No, it's not like at least John, but juice juice press. So it's good that you actually know how to do that. Yeah, I think it's good to make a good first impression if you if you enter that person, you want to make a I mean if a guy again, getting back to the Starbucks saying, if a guy invited me to anything little like that,

I wouldn't consider that a date. If you take me to Denny's, though, we're good. Yeah, that's a great because I remember this guy took me to Red lobsterre when I was eighteen, and that he was a barber. He had money exactly away that cash right now, we were taking me about the earlier. Some people feel like she didn't can make your relationships stronger. Do you feel like in any way we were discussing this downstairs, that there's a way that they can't make your relationship stronger. Hm,

I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I think, No, she's gonna here. She listens to everything I do, partly because of cheating, I think. I think, um, it's very difficult to bounce back from that in terms of her letting it go, like my wife won't. She won't let it go. Like I get a lot of asking questions about that about guys who are like I cheated and now she doesn't trust me. What can I do to win her back? So? What? What? What if I would you give to a guy who cheated, got

caught cheated for years? But then you know it's trying to do right. It's about the action. It's about the action. It's never about the words. Like I think, you start off in a relationship, you can build up trust with somebody with words, and then if you follow behind that with an action it goes against what you said, then you automatically have to follow that bad action up with a good action in order to reinforce. You can't talk your way back into that trust, but you have to

do it. So I just basically, I mean, she could say she believed what you say, but she could just be talking, you know, like like we basically raised each other. She doesn't really know anything else, you know what I'm saying. So it's almost like she probably was afraid to even leave me even if she wanted to, because you think, to yourself, I've been with this person all these years, how could he just do this, you know what I'm saying. So now it's like now it's like I had to

just completely turn my life around. And I didn't just do it for her. I did it for my kids, and I did it, you know, because I wanted to live. It was like it was like a spiritual awakening. That's what I call it. Steph. You hung with us before, you see, I used to drink like I used to drink like not like everybody else. Like it was. How do you know the difference between liking to drink a lot and being an alcoholic? Like you know, there's a

fine line. People, you drink so much, you're an alcoholic. But an alcoholic is not just somebody who you know, likes to drink. It's a little more than that. Yes, I'm wired like an addict. I'm wired liked. It's like a couple of knes breakfast. My first my first, my first addiction. My first addiction was chewing gum in high school. So if I don't choot you and gum, I grind my teeth. Oh yeah, So like I do everything and being just no matter what it is. I ate an

entire pack of cookies today. I got the cookies. I ate one cookie. Once I ate one of them, I needed to eat the rest of them. Damn. I do stuff like that too. Can actually indulgent. Exactly, when you like something, you tend to like one to consume it. So if I if I like, if I don't have a drink, I don't necessarily need it. But if I drink Monday and Tuesday Wednesday, I'm drinking. There's nothing gonna

stop me from drinking Wednesday. So now my thing is okay, I'm not drinking today, not drinking tomorrow, and I just take it to day at the time. Right, And it's been four years now, almost four years. Congratulationship, thank you. That's a big deal. Right, it was necessary it was necessary, because I definitely wouldn't if I would have went well, Actually,

I went to the hospital. I went to the hospital and the doctor told me, if I had have went two or three more months as hard as I was going, then I would have had to get put on the donor's list. And when you when you're an alcoholic, he said, I would have. I would have been facing irreversible damage. And when you're an alcoholic, they automatically put you at the bottom, you know what I'm saying, because they feel

like you did it to yourself. Yeah, and I was like right teetering on the brink of losing my family, like my girl was just building up enough strength to How do you feel You feel healthy? I feel great? This is your first sober solo album. Yeah, Well, well your solo album? Yeah, I did Prime. I did Prime with DJ Premier and um, that was my first solo work that I put out. But this is my first

solo solo, so sober solo album, Layers. So you feel like we're gonna learn a lot more about you on this because from what I've heard so far, it seems like it's a lot more personal as far as you talk about things that happened in your life and maybe do you see things you feel like more clearly now when you go yeah, yeah, I haven't. I haven't really been that personal or introspective in the past in my

career because I spent all my time drinking. So once I got sober, all of these memories just started hitting me and Ship, it was like I just became immediately introspective. I started thinking of like old memories that I thought I lost forever from like growing up and ship. It's pretty cool. It's pretty cool, like aside from like anxiety and like some of the crazy ship that happens to you when you when you sober up, it's pretty cool just to be for your brain to start working like

that again. Because it's interesting all the projects that we've heard you on, all the groups that you've done, all your solo albums, there's a lot of things we didn't really know about you, and I feel like from from what I've heard so far, I was like, oh, I didn't have no idea. It's it's yeah, it'll sunk you up a little bit. Like if you if you've been following me, you'd be like, wow, we took them so long to talk about this because generally artists do that

their first album. The first album is like, Hi, my name is such and such, get to know me. This is what you need to know about me. I didn't come out the gate like that. I came out the gate like Liverpool MC Liverpool, you know man, because that's what I wanted to do, you know what I mean. So Selfie's like, that's right. I think it's good because you know, as an artist myself, it's you know, and if you are guarded, you know, it's a lot of times people expect you to put our records like that.

So I think it's dope that you have the gift that continues to give, you know, beyond your lyrical ability, you know, and work with the names you work with. It's like to have that kind of longevity and now you get to show people personally, it's like wow, you get to open up a different layer basically your you know, your conscious level. Now layers. I like that. That was like thank you, and I mean I've seen people say, um, you know in regards to layers. This is my first

time really getting into Race to five nine. I had no idea. Now I got to go back and listen to some of his earlier work. Yeah, and you probably like the earlier stuff a little bit better. But I'm off for growth. Yeah, yeah, this is this is it's definitely growth. If not anything else, it's it's definitely growth. It's a hey, other ladies appearing for growth? We need it, right. I knew, I knew it was coming. Now. Stephanie had

a question. We were talking about this downstairs, and uh, this is from one of her friends, one of my friends. She's in a relationship and you know, she's they get along her her boyfriend, they get along and you know they've been together for a while. But the sex is just it's not as good as it used to be. Like he um, it's not terrible, but he's coming really fast. So what do you think but say that's a compliment. Is that a compliment if a guy comes really fast?

Or should we be offended? How old is you know what we're asking? He Um, he's in his forties? Damn? What what what is it to be? What is it to be offended about? I don't understand he's coming about getting I mean time, I mean what you just said, you just said, you said, should we be flattered? I know she was saying, should the woman be flattered? Like, oh he came fast? I mean my pussy good? Yeah, like,

So this woman doesn't want to cheat, she won't cheat, but she's like miserable. She wants sucks. She wants somebody to suck her. Right. So they started off, he started off. They had like an amazing sucks life. They started up. It sounds like they need to have you know, they need to just have a talk. So what should she do? Should she cheat? Never gonna say girls, girls cheating and disgusting. Wait, hold on, no, no, no, no no, But you could have understood it. If your body would have cheated on

you at some point, you would understood it. But after everything you were doing, I'm sure you could be like, but I could have not kill her and him. There's not one man that can stand the fact that his woman was with someone with millions of bitches exactly you said for years if she stepped out one time, what if you always separated like okay, I'm not doing this, I'm not working with you. You know what's so crazy? Just to add to the cheating things, I'm already said,

I'll kill you. Um, it's someone that I know right now who's in jail. They was actually broken up, like they were not together. She stepped out when they were not together, and he literally cannot her and some more ships and good and all because she had sex while

they were broken up. So I believe you when you said you're killer's not your manager resal but no. But he literally now has fifty years for what he did happen just because that's because when men and their men and their reasoning, like, oh my god, you didn't for me because men can't take it. But you know what we were saying downstairs, women are better cheaters than men. Yeah,

but hecause to be times woman's not get hard. Man are the ones will get Let me let me ask you, y'all think it's cool for women to cheat out of spite? And I think I think it. I think I think it depends. I'm not saying that it's cool, but it's life and exactly that's what I mean. It's not it's I'm saying it happens in real life. Yeah, it does happen, but I think it's very wrong. But you don't. So if a guy is cheating, cheating, cheating, you think I stay and take it because that's all. No, I don't

think she should stay and take it. Yeah, she should probably leave, you know, But sometimes it's hard. Listen, let me tell you how women leaving relationship a lot. We've don't left before you know, we left. We're trying to get together, we're trying to figure out what are we gonna do next with trash, But like, I need somebody to distract me, so I'm not sitting here obsessed over this. And that's when you know all the things your man won't do steps in. Yeah, but you know that's not

that's not leaving. That's not leaving, that's staying and cheating. Yeah, but sometimes it's with the intention chating. A lot of women cheat with the intent to leave. Well, well, I could be honest. I've cheated and I left, and the person I cheated on him what I left and was in relationship with them. I've cheated on. We have a little overlap. Sometimes I've cheated on almost every single one of my boy reason. I'm sure that I could rate. I could reason all of the cheating that I've done,

but listen to some type of way through alcoholism. I'm sure I could reasonably. No, but it's true. I'm sure I'm ready to move on. I'm sure. I'm sure I could point out trying could point out things. I could point out things that I was unhappy with with my wife and things that she wasn't doing. I'm sure I could. Yeah, But if also stand back to why I wish you do those things when she wasn't really being appreciated, Well, what about me being appreciated? It's but it's give and

take it. You can't you can't be like what about me? That's like childhood. You have to sit there and you have to deal with, you know, hardships and relationships. No, no, no, no, no, I'm totally willing to deal with with that. I'm just I'm just saying, like, just because she asked your question and you said what about me first? Instead of figuring out why wasn't why didn't she feel appreciated? No, but she was asking me a question in response to what

I had said to me. I was saying, I was saying, I'm pretty sure that I can reason, because you guys were reasoning cheating, right, and what I'm saying, I'm sure I could reason on my side too, Yeah, because there were a lot of factors with me too, like I never cheated on my girl before I are the drinking.

How many years with that? You don't want to be asking I started drinking, we would together, actually were together in high school, and then like after, you know, after I started drinking, that's when I started pretty much becoming a shell of myself. That has to be hard to be with somebody. And you're watching them like do these things and you're concerned about them, But at the same time, you're like, I don't want to take this, but I think, well, I know I have a problem, Like I have a problem.

I have a drinking problem, and it caused me to make a lot of bad decisions. So I think for her to, out of spite or whatever it is, cheat on me in return, I think that would be wrong. Well, it might not necessarily be out of spite. It's an emotional thing. I think sometimes women cheat. It's not like I'm gonna do this and his whole head up. You might be like, I don't feel like I'm loved I

feel like I need somebody to treat me well. I want somebody to take care of me, treat me good, and somebody I slide in there because literally, you know, it's an emotional thing, right, I don't know necessarily like I'm gonna get him back. Yeah, like if she had too much time, you're boring the last one on women cheats, she's just alone all the time. Yeah, well she should never let me find out. I saw on the internet this week that he said, you know what kind of game is this when girls are getting way of pussy and I'm like, now here here, here, come on now, I mean you're having a lot of kids, Like, you can't say that it's funny how the double standards work. It's so funny, child, right, we can't do anything we can't do. Like, man, I'm in the room full of women, I can't. I think.

I think I get it though, you know, we all understand each other's side. That's all. Y'all understand your side, and I understand what y'are saying. I get it because usually I'm in a room full of men and getting slater called hit little water water. No, I'm definitely get it. Y'all put up with a lot. That's why I feel like women should be put up on the pedestal. I really do. I really do. You guys do put up

with a lot. But you know, I do think sometimes y'all don't understand our side, and I'll spend I stop spending a lot of time trying to explain I really did. I just was like, all right, man, she's not going to ever get it because we're wired different. Well, I agree with that. I mean, listen, I say this. I know I'm around guys all the time, clearly, like I

work with all guys. I've always worked around guys, so I feel like I hear a lot about what goes on and I witnessed a lot, so I think about things differently because I've seen guys who have been in relationships, been married, cheated, and then managed to make their marriage work after that. Now, as a woman, you might say, oh, if he cheats me, I'm leaving him. I'm leaving him. But that's not necessarily true, you know, So I can't

agree with that. But I also feel like a woman if a man, she's telling you, men feel like women need to stick by their man and stop leaving them so easily. But I also feel like, if you cheat, you don't know if she's gonna stay or not. Maybe she will, maybe she won't. It's really her choice, her decision, and it's based on how you treat her afterward and how she feels. You know. I agree with that. I agree with that, and I don't. I don't know if I'm doing such a great job with my situation, why

are you saying that? I mean, I don't know. I don't know. She's still she's still. You would think like with the changes that I've made, she'd be like ecstatic, But but it's hard to erase all those years. And I say this because I always say this too. If a woman decides to stay with a man after he's cheated and they agree to work it out. She kind of has to let those things you have to agree with, your man still has a lot to prove. That's one I think it's, you know, it's behind us and everything

is good. We have like an argument about something, even if it's an argument about something that she that I feel she's not doing, it's just like a mind back on her defense mechanism. She put the guard up like this, every everything comes back again, and it's just be like, oh, do you think you have any room to ever say

anything back based upon what you've done her? I think I should always have room to say things back if this is, you know, if we're having a conversation and we were in a relationship, right, But sometimes you gotta just swallow your path. Just be like, you know what, she's still with me, she took me back. Let me just shut the funk up and right. And I don't get you don't get to use that. You don't get to use that as a crush to be able to do anything you want to do. I don't think it's

a crutch. I think it's more so like what Angela said, if she's taking you back after she's dealt with years of something, even if it was something from something that was enabling you, you know, rather hurting you. The point that she did that, I think that gives her a get out of job. It's probably still difficult for everything. No, not for everything, but I think for as many years if you, I don't know as many years, but as many years as you've done that in effect to her,

I think she needs that year's plus. But I feel like sometimes it's hard, Like listen, I know guys who wanted to stay with that women but found it difficult to do so because of the stress of trying to win her back and make her trust you again. Sometimes it makes you feel like I don't even know if

I want to do this right exactly, of course. So that's something that women have to take into consideration too, because if a man is trying to change and make those changes, while it's difficult for us and we want to bring up every little ship thing you did when you leave the cap off the toothpaste, and we're bringing up whatever it is, I'm gonna just go ahead and fight it out, because don't fight though, this is what I'm saying I'm just gonna go ahead and thug it

out with my wife. I don't I don't wish to go through none of this ship again with a whole another person's And that was one of the questions that we actually had right and we were talking about this, would you what's the better dealing with somebody that you're comfortable with or taking a risk with somebody new. I don't want to start over once I once, I had a once, I had a few side tricks to start acting like my girl just going back to the old

battle acts in to a certain point with someone. Once you're like long term with someone, it has to take. It's gonna take like a whole lot to just be like, okay, I'm done. Like it's hard to just move on when you're comfortable with someone and you're just used to be in a certain way and just you know, that comfortability factor is a big factor. And starting over, Jess, you tried it. I just tried it, and I'm back, always back. I'm like moved out and it was it was horrible

and I was still in love. I never felt out. That's what it was so for her, and I think it's difficult to me when you're in love with someone that's genuine. Yeah, I never felt out of love. I tried. I tried to make him the scumbag of the world. I try to make him like the worst person ever in my head, and I just my heart wouldn't let me and we just ended up being bare. But do you still bring up stuff that happened in the past. I try not to, but sometimes I can't help it.

I don't think that they go through too much like the relationships you guys were previously speaking about just now, Like it sounds like these relationships are just heavy and they're hard and not good, Like these type of relationships you need to move on from. Like when you're in a relationship with somebody and you're always bringing up the past, that's never

gonna work. Yeah, but it ain't, you know, like hours and then one day when you're trying to grow with somebody, you know what I mean, you have to you have to accept all their all their flaws and all their mistakes, because just like they're going to accept yours. But did you have some rules? Like okay? Is she like okay?

In order for me to feel more comfortable, this is what I need you to do, like things that you don't need to do, like okay, every night, we need to face time when you're on the road, or are there things like that? Or do you bring her out to dates more often? Like what are there things that you do differently now to try to prove it? Yeah, she's bringing some things on me, like she wants me to be like this romantic guy. Now, nothing wrong with that.

I'm not saying. I'm not saying there's nothing wrong with I just it's just an adjustment for me, that's all. So you wo're never romantic, you would say, she says I was, But I'm like, I'm like the li the liquor like mess my brain up so much I can barely remember, Like I'm like, damn, what did I used to do? I don't think. I don't think it has It doesn't have to come with the territory. It doesn't. And my son, my son is a producer. He wants to be an artist.
