Episode description

Welcome to the next installment of the Anesthesia Patient Safety podcast hosted by Alli Bechtel.  This podcast is an exciting journey towards improved anesthesia patient safety.

Today, we are taking about the safe use of manifolds for IV medication administration in the operating room. Then, we dive into cases of malignant hyperthermia that survived without dantrolene therapy. Our discussion involves a review of the MH cases, MH resources, important articles, treatment options, and the Clinical Grading Scale. This is a Category 6 show that is “almost certain” to provide vital information to help keep patients safe during anesthesia care.
