Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko urged his citizens to “be aware” ahead of May 9, Russia’s annual Victory Day. Western officials have warned Russian President Vladimir Putin could formally declare war on Ukraine which could pave the way for him to escalate his attacks.
