Then the devotional contact today. Today’ s Bible reading begins in verse sixteen of John chapter fourteen. Christ says and I will pray to the father and give you another comforter to be with you forever, the spirit of truth, which the world cannot receive because it neither sees nor knows him, but you know him, because he dwells with you and will be in you. I won' t leave you orphans. I will come to you a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me,

because I live you will also live in that day. You will know that I am in my father and you are in me and I am in you. He who has my commandments and keeps them. That is the one who loves me and the one who loves me will be loved by my father and I will love him and manifest myself I will lend myself to him. I am convinced that if we truly understood what happens during prayer, we would call on the Lord more frequently and with greater confidence. The believer' s prayers

are not just words. We have the Holy Spirit, who communicates for us and brings our needs to the Lord. The Holy Spirit is part of the trinity, so he knows the mind of God intimately, because he is omniscient and omnipotent, like the father, fully understands the circumstances for which we pray, even what is not seen or disconcerted. Moreover, the spirit dwells in

every believer and knows the mind and heart of each one of us. With this full knowledge, the Holy Spirit can carry out his task of ensuring that our petitions coincide with the Father' s desires. To this end, he

speaks in our spirit and opens our minds to the sacred scriptures. The fact that God gives his spirit to all or believe them in reveals the value of communication between him and his children, and so our heavenly father provides the best helper possible to make sure that we can be attuned to his will, in other words, being wise, patient and fully devoted to him. But we will have none of those qualities unless we cultivate the habit of speaking to the

Lord Christians should not feel guilty for not being sure how to pray. The holy spirit that dwells in us knows our needs and desires, as well as the mind and will of the father and the details of each situation. He speaks to God in our favor and teaches us to pray
