Professor Rick Vari is the Senior Dean for Academic Affairs at Virginia Tech Carilion, School of Medicine in the USA, and the President of the International Association of Medical Science Educators (IAMSE).

In this episode I talk to Rick about his early career as a renal physiologist, his passion for PBL and his transition through the educational ranks to become a senior educational leader. We also discuss his role within IAMSE and the upcoming meeting in Roanoke, Virginia in June.
