Transcript

We're once again in an election year here in America. This is raising questions the church has wrestled with for hundreds of years. Questions around political involvement, voting and separation from the world. Several years ago, we interviewed David Bercot on this topic of political involvement and the kingdom of God, which you can find that linked down below. Bercot has also written a book on this topic called In God We Don't Trust.

In that book, he wrestles with questions around Was America founded as a Christian nation or was it never Christian to begin with? What about Manifest Destiny, and how did that worldview affect the founding of America? And much more. We worked with David Bercot to turn In God We Don't Trust into an audio book, which you can find on all major audiobook platforms.

And since we're in another election year here in America, and because Bercot’s work is as relevant now as it was when it was first written, we're releasing a sample chapter here on the main podcast, so enjoy this free sample of, “In God We Don't Trust” Thanks for listening to this episode of Anabaptist Perspectives.
