Good morning bonus content. Y'all I am getting ready this morning in the bathroom and thought I would have you come along with me while I get ready. So this is gonna be an experiment to see how this works. I've already put on my eyebrows, cuz that takes a little bit of concentration. You know, I buy my eyebrows from Amazon. They are temporary tattoos that I buy and you have to cut 'em out. You know, specifically, you're gonna hear some background noise, my makeup brushes and whatnot.

I'm putting on my makeup. That's why, that's why it's called get ready with me. But anyway , um, so yeah, I buy my eyebrows from Amazon. They come in sheets and you have to cut 'em out specific , you know, to me, I cut 'em out to a specific way. And then you gotta , it takes a little bit of concentration to put 'em on line 'em up and put 'em on. It's just like one of those kid tattoos where you get a wet paper towel and put 'em on like that. But getting them lined up is a different thing.

But anyway, they're on, they look good. Like sometimes I have to do 'em a coup you know, every once in a great while I'll get one croaked and I have to redo it. But today was a good day for eyebrows. That's how I should start judging my day. How, how good it's gonna be by the way my eyebrows go on. But anyway, I also already put on my foundation and my concealer. I went ahead and did that before I started recording. So that way, cuz I have to wash my hands a lot.

I didn't want you to have to hear that in the background, but anyway, here I am getting ready. I'm putting on my lips now , uh , already put on my blush. So AOC you saw where I think somebody, I don't know if he's with the blaze . I don't even know his name, but he was like outside the capital building cat calling AOC. And at first, you know, when it happened, she just walked over to him and said something about it .

I need your vote or something gave him a peace sign and then walked away and then it wasn't until way later she did two more videos by herself where she actually, I guess, had to sit down and think about what a victim she was from sexual assault or whatever she got on there. She got on her little Instagram account and was just carrying on and on and on about the capital police, how they didn't do anything.

And it was pretty much like a like sexual assault and like she , yeah , I guess she had to really work herself up into that. I'm like really, she could have used that opportunity to walk over to him and talk about her issues instead, you know, talk , you know, go over there and, and either call him out while it's happening or go over there and school him on her ideas.

I mean, she could have done that, but no, she has to, you know, all of a sudden be the victim, you know, just ignore it or I mean, come on. He was harmless. He was recording himself. It's not like he was doing it in private. So whatever , it's so dumb. So other things this morning, I guess I mainly wanted to talk about how I can't remember anything y'all because my husband this morning was talk .

We were talking about something I've already forgot what, but he referenced the , um, he said something about going to the moon on goer wings or something like that. And I figured it was from literature. It sounds like something from literature and I had to Google it, but I couldn't really find anything specific about that. Any particular book or literature or anything like that? Obviously it means, you know, shooting, shooting high or I think that's what, to me, that's what it would mean.

All right . I gotta put my eyeshadow on. I use the essence salute Paris eyeshadow palette that I bought at Alta Lovet. Um, so anyway, and it's amazing how I can't remember anything and he's always referencing movies, book quotes, song, quotes, dates, history. I mean, he is like a walking encyclopedia and I can't remember anything. And I don't know if it's because as a child I had as a child, I had a couple of head injuries, not once, but twice I was in a car accident.

And then I was also fell off the monkey bars when I was little and I fell straight on my head was out of school for like two weeks because I had a big old goose egg and a concussion. And then, like I said, it was in a car accident. It was before we wore seat belts back in the day. And I was in the front seat. My mother, I don't know if she rear ended someone or if she just put on her brakes real fast to stop at a red light or something. I don't think she rear ended anybody, but I could be wrong.

Um, and uh, yeah, I sh I went up my head impacted the windshield and shattered it so I've had two kind of head injuries. I don't know if that has anything to do with my not being able to remember anything. I don't know, but it was pretty traumatic as a kid. I think, like I said, with the , um, falling off the monkey bars, I had a big old goose egg out of school. I couldn't see either for the longest time .

I , for a couple hours, I couldn't see , uh , opened my eyes and I couldn't see anything when it first happened. Um, but anyway, yeah, head injuries. I don't know if that, that may have something to do with why I can't remember anything. Now I can remember, you know , pictures and I do have memories. I don't have no memories. I do have memories, but , um, I just can't remember. I , I guess, I don't know if I don't retain things and keep it with me, stuff like that.

Or, or if I just, my brain says, okay, this is important. Remember this, but you don't need to remember all this other stuff. I don't know. I don't know how that works, but anyway, I just wanted to say hello and tell you all of that. Cuz that was on my mind. And I thought I would do a bonus content like this. What do you think? I've never done anything like this before. You know you normally I put my episodes out on Tuesday, so this is gonna not be out on Tuesday.

I'll put this out as a separate episode , get ready with me. So now I'm putting on my foundation, by the way, it's probably four 30 in the morning. Yeah, we get up early. We get up early. I hope I remembered everything that I did. It was pretty fast today. Getting ready. Hey and it's Friday. So that's good. We got the weekend ahead. I'm doing nothing tomorrow. I will probably watch a movie tomorrow, maybe a couple of movies. Of course I've got laundry to do too.

And uh , I , on my blog, I started a blog project a couple of weeks ago when top gun came out where I'm going to watch eighties movies and then write reviews on them from the eighties mu movies. So I've and I've been wanting to watch Beverly Hills cop again. So I will watch that and I might watch isn't there. I think there's three of them. I may watch all of them this weekend and then blog about it. Who knows right now I am putting on my false eyelashes.

Just got the glue on the key to my false eyelashes. Is that when you put the glue on the strip, you have to let it

Speaker 2

Sit there for a good minute or two. I usually try to let it sit for two minutes before putting it on my eye , uh , lid. So I'm just sitting here letting that dry now. And um, yeah, that's what I'm gonna do this week . And , and then Sunday we get the baby. I'm so excited. He is growing so fast. I can't believe he's three months old, already such a cutie pie. He's so fricking adorable. I love him so much. Um, let's see, what else is going on?

Yeah. Beverly Hills cop I've you know, I've seen it back when it came out, probably saw it in a theater more than likely when I was a teenager or early twenties or whenever that can you , I can't remember when that came out. 83. Maybe I'll have to go back and look it up. Obviously I'll look it up when I go to blog about it. But again, I can't remember exact dates. I bet if I ask Carrie my husband, he would know exactly. Probably the date that it came out. the weekend.

He probably knew what he was doing that weekend too. I don't remember any of that crap. I remember I saw the movie. That's all I know. And I know who was in it and I know what it's about. I don't remember what I was doing that weekend though. When it came out I imagine most people don't. Maybe I could be wrong. Do you remember when Beverly Hills' cop came out? What you were doing that particular weekend? Did you go see it in the theater? And if so, who did you go see it with?

Do you remember what you ate? Do you remember any of that? I don't. some people do though. So let's see. What else, what else? I , I've got a couple of takers on my wigs so far, nothing finalized yet, but I know I will eventually sell them to someone. It , I always do. I've sold wigs before. They're pretty much in high demand. Um, let's see, I'm gonna pause it for a second and then I'm gonna go ahead and finish , um, putting on my eyelashes and then I'll be, I'll be right back.

Speaker 1

Okay. I remember what I was , think I was gonna talk about. Obviously I feel like I can't do two things at once now. I'm trying to get ready and talk to you and report a and record a podcast. But here we go. I'm putting on one of my eyelashes and I guess I can tell you what I did for the workout yesterday. I made it up. No I didn't. I looked it up.

Uh , I was gonna say, usually I make up my own workouts, but I found this one online and I decided to do it , um, part of it, but I did warm up with the one mile jog and then I worked on my power cleans. I did like 10 minutes, 10, 15 minutes where every two minutes I would add weight and do two power cleans. So, and I worked up to, I think, 95 pounds, 90 or 95 pounds. And then the workout that I did that I found online was this. After I did all that , this is what I did four time .

What is 50 burpees? 40 alternating dumbbell, snatches, 30 burpees, 20 alternating, dumbbell snatches, and then 10 burpees. And that was all for time. And I did it in 18 minutes and 30 seconds. Yeah, I've, I've gotten old, but that's okay. At least I did it and I finished it. I didn't when I looked at it and I wrote it down, I thought , oh, there's no way I'm gonna be able to finish it.

That is an indication when I feel like I can't, when I, when I'm writing it down or looking it up and I think to myself, oh, there's no way I'm gonna be able to finish this. That's when I should do it because normally I can finish it. It just takes a while . And that's why I loved to CrossFit so much is because every time I walked in the gym and that , and I would look at the

Speaker 2

Workout of the day on the board, I would think there's no way I can do this. Now. They would also have scaling options for it as well. So most of the times I would have to do a scaling option, but even the scaling options, I would think my God, I can't finish this. I don't think I could do it, blah, blah, blah.

And then once that, once that bell started, once that timer started and it was on, I did it, I just kept moving and did it like with all the burpees, I had to slow down on my burpees, but I kept

Speaker 3

Doing it and uh, just keep chipping away at it. And uh, and I , that's why I like it so much because every time I think I can't do it, I normally do it. And that kind of builds your confidence up for me anyway. It does. And that's why I like CrossFit so much or working

Speaker 2

Out so much because

Speaker 3

It's challenging and I normally finish it and it's a good feeling. So

Speaker 2

There you go. All right . Oh , so let's see. Don't go anywhere. I'll be right back. Okay. Eyelashes are on. I am running a little behind, I'm walking around the house now getting ready to get dressed in case you wanna know what eyelashes I am using. I , because I do get a lot of compliments on my eyelashes. I get them, you know, either from target, sorry, I'm getting something out of the closet here, rattling in the background. Uh , hold on. I get them at target or Walgreens or whatever.

It's the kiss brand. And the style name is Teddy. Now these eyelashes, the reason I like them so much is because they have a thick band. They are not wispies . Wispies are really feather light , and they're flimsy. And I , it's hard for me to put them on my eyelid. So I need the harder, more hearty band, I guess that's, it's kind of like a stiff band where you can , um , hold it steady and it goes on and I get a lot of compliments on my eyelashes.

So, and I've tried other styles, but I just like the way these look on my eyes. Now I do have to cut them, trim them up a little bit before I put 'em on. Once I buy 'em new and I do reuse them. When I take them off at night, I soak em in a little cup of alcohol overnight to get the glue off and whatever else is on there.

And then in the morning I take a little Q-tip after they've been soaking all night and take the glue off with the little Q-tip and then I'll put them back in their case and then use them another day. I have several pair that I use over and over again. And of course, once they wear out in a few weeks, then I've obviously I get new ones. I rotate 'em out, but all right , I'm gonna go for now because now I have to get dressed and I am running a little behind.

So I'm gonna go ahead and end this episode, this bonus episode for you. I hope you've enjoyed it. I know I've been all over the place, but this was good practice for me to try to do two or three things at once. Get ready and then talk to you and try to record this podcast or episode. It was fun. I'll probably do another one. All right , thanks. Have a good day.
