Speaker 1

Well, good Sunday morning to everyone. You're gonna probably hear a F a fan slash air filter in the background. I have it on high. Uh , and you may hear a little bit of a baby cooing because I've got the little cam cam we had 'em overnight. We got 'em Saturday morning and kept them all day. And now it's Sunday morning and we're just laying on the bed and he's playing and stretching and kicking, trying to exercise those baby muscles and get some coordination.

He is , uh , about seven weeks old right now. And just the best baby ever. Yes, he is . You gonna talk a little bit, you're gonna be on the podcast. You gonna talk a little bit, huh ? Oh, goodness. Goodness. So this clip may be kind of short, you know, but , uh, anyway, yeah, we had a good time. My daughter came over yesterday and cleaned the house. As you know, she used to be part of this podcast as well. We started the podcast together.

She and I, but then she got busy doing other things and you know, with life. And so I've just decided to continue it. And then after she cleaned the house yesterday, she and I, and baby Cameron went, we had to go return something from Amazon. I ordered some Bluetooth wireless earbuds, so I could run with them, but they sent me the wrong one. So I had to go return them . I've never returned anything from Amazon before.

So I was a little, you know, confused or whatever, but not confused, but a little leery of how that worked. And it was super easy. There's a Kohls up the street from us that , uh, that was an option that Amazon gave me to return it. I didn't need a box or anything. I just needed to show up given the product, having them scan the barcode. And that was it. I mean, that was super, super easy. So she and I did that yesterday.

And then we went to Barnes and noble because I want to find the complete Jewish Bible it's called the complete Jewish Bible. Um, I wanna cuz I'm starting a tour class online and I want to follow along. That's something I may talk about in longer length , uh , later on in the , in this episode , uh , and in the podcast in general, it's really fascinating. But, and then after that we went to the grocery store. I fixed dinner.

I fixed big thick jaggy , thick pork chops, bone in pork chops, my homemade, all Grotten potatoes and a Caesar salad is what we had for dinner. And right now I'm just waiting for my son and Donin law to come get this little precious baby boy, cuz I've got some stuff I have to do. I've got laundry to do irony to do that takes me all day long. And then I'm gonna go up to the gym sometime and walk virtually with my sister.

I mean, we're both walking on the treadmill, but she's in Ohio, I'm in Alabama, but we do the Peloton thing together and we're going to do like an active power walk day on the treadmill that has some inclines and stuff. So I'm looking forward to that even though I am super, super tired, I still need to do it, want to do it. I think it will make me feel better. And then , uh , that's it.

And then the Jen and I are gonna finish watching stranger things, episode seven and then I think eight and nine come out in July. So that's what we've got going on today. Is somebody gonna talk? You

Speaker 2

Gonna talk? Yeah. You're gonna talk a little bit. You wanna say hi, say hi to everyone.

Speaker 1

He's thinking about it. He's thinking about it. So I'm gonna go for now, but don't go anywhere because I will be back with another clip. Probably. Maybe when I'm at the gym or something. Okay. You guys have a good one . Don't go anywhere. Don't go anywhere. Don't go anywhere. I'll be right back in just a second.

Speaker 2

Well, all right . I am back and of course I forgot to record anything while I was at the gym walking on the treadmill, but that's okay because I was using my phone for the Peloton app. So I couldn't have talked to you anyway. Number one, because of that number two, because even though it was an active rest day and we did power walking for 45 minutes, I still got outta breath and then after that I went and picked up something that I ordered last night and a sleep deprived. Stupid.

Do y'all ever do that? Where you're up at late at night, either you order something stupid on Instagram or you're up late at night and you're sleep deprived and you think, oh, I need this. So let me go online and order it and I'll pick it up tomorrow. Yeah. Well I did that, although I really did want this. It's the , um, it's the , um, oh my gosh, I'm drawing a blank. I know what it is. The complete Jewish Bible. Now here's the thing.

I already ordered one online a couple of days ago and it's gonna take a while to get here cuz I think I ordered it from another country maybe. So last night I was thinking, you know, I really wanna start this study now and I really wanna see if there's anywhere around here that has it. So I found books a million had it. So I ordered it online and I picked it up today so I can start my lessons now .

I , I don't know what, I guess I will give the other one away as a gift to someone, but that's what I did. And now I'm home. The Jen and I are gonna get , uh , mellow mushroom pizza tonight and probably finish watching the first half first half of the fourth season of stranger things. It's episode seven. And I think then eight episode eight and nine will come out at the beginning of July. Okay. So that's what I've been doing.

I'm still sleep deprived, but I'm glad I went and worked out with my sister. Uh , even though she's in Ohio and I'm in Alabama, we got to do it together on the Peloton app. I'm sleep deprived because you know, obviously the first part of this episode, we had the baby last night overnight and you know, I do not sleep well. Not that he's a bad baby because he is not, but he's a baby, you know? I mean, he's a baby. He sleeps when he wants and he gets up what he wants.

He doesn't have a schedule yet. but he is a darling and I love him so, so much, but I'm home now. I'm gonna go in here, take a shower. Cause I'm sure I stink from sweating for 45 minutes on the treadmill power walking now with inclines too. So even though it was an active rest day, I still got my heart rate up and then , uh, take a shower and then we're gonna go get pizza and then finish washing stranger things. Okay. Don't go anywhere.

Cuz hopefully I will be back tomorrow, Monday with something for you because you know, obviously when you're listening to this it's Tuesday, that's when I drop my episodes. I , uh , record throughout the week or on the weekends. And then I upload 'em and schedule them to publish on a Tuesday early morning because I've Googled it and they say that's the best time to release them. So that's what I've been doing. And uh, yeah. So don't go anywhere. I'll be right back in a few seconds.

Don't go anywhere. Hello and welcome back. This will be the last audio clip before I put everything together and upload it for the episode. Okay. I'm in my car. It's Monday afternoon. I'm in my car at lunchtime and I have a couple of things, I guess I want to go over. Mm . I don't know if there's a couple of things I wanna go over. There's a couple of things I want to share with you that I want to do. How about that?

I mentioned earlier in the episode, this episode about the complete Jewish Bible. So I'm starting this study and it's, I'm only gonna do it at my own pace. I want to figure out a schedule though, how to do there's so many things I want to do, and this is the problem. There are three to four things I want to do and trying to figure out a schedule or routine for them is the problem. So maybe you can help me with this. I'm gonna lay out what I wanna do.

And then maybe you can , uh , help me out with how to do this. All right . The first thing I wanna do again, the complete Jewish Bible, I bought this book online because of the Torah class.com that I was listening to the, to uh , Torah class.com in , I was a website, but then I found an app and I downloaded the app and I listened to the first 12 lessons of the old Testament survey. And they're like an hour long each. So that was 12 hours worth of stuff. Listening. Now the other things.

Now I'm gonna start in on the Bible, the Torah , the Bible that he teaches. So I'm gonna start with Genesis lesson one, but he does it on YouTube. And I think YouTube will be better than this app because the app used a lot of my battery power on my phone. I'm gonna , and I want, I don't need to necessarily watch it on YouTube, but I want to follow along in the Bible with him as he does the classes on YouTube. And I, you know, I can throw it up on my TV and watch it.

If I have to just in case he has some slides or whatever. So I guess I do need to do a visual with that. So there's an , there's a time for it . There's at least an hour's worth of timeframe there in a day. And then I also of course, want to pick up on my blogging. I think I want to set a challenge for myself to blog for 30 days in a row, just so I can get back into the habit of blogging something. I love my blog and I want to continue to write and blog. That's the second thing.

The third thing is of course running. I've got that down. I've got that down. I , um, run when I get home soon as I get, as soon as I get done with work, I leave work at two 30, get home at three, change my clothes, do this, do that. And then I'm usually out the door between three 30 and four. And that's not a problem. The problem, not with that. But then after I run, I cool down come back. So I'm probably 45 minutes to an hour. We'll say tops. Then we come home.

I come home, take a shower, we eat dinner. We clean up. And then we , we are in the bed super, super early because the Jen and I both get up at three o'clock in the morning. We get up at three o'clock in the morning because one, we enjoy it. Number two, we spend an hour sitting in bed, catching up on the news, drinking coffee, trying to get awake. And then he usually gets in the shower at four. I follow behind him after that.

And then we're, you know, we both have to be at work super, super early. I have to be at work at six o'clock in the morning. And I like my shift. So I'm not complaining about that at all. I'm not complaining at all period. I just am trying to figure out a timeframe. I guess I could do my, my Bible studying at lunch in the car. I could do that. So that's an hour that I could do here in the car. Cause I'm alone. I could do it here. So there's my answer to that.

And then the, running's not a problem. The blogging, I don't know how I'm gonna do that. I'll figure that one out. I'll figure that one out. Cuz number one, I gotta figure out things to blog about every day . Ugh . Anyway, it'll work itself out. Um, I'm happy to be here. Go find me on social media. I'm at Carol remarks on Instagram. I'm on Carol remarks on Twitter. Uh , I have a Facebook page at Carol remarks. This podcast more remarks also has a Facebook page.

That's another thing I am trying to narrow down my Facebook presence into something. I , I still wanna keep Carol Carol remarks, Facebook page and the more remarks Facebook page, but because the Carol remarks obviously goes with my blog, the more re more remarks goes with the podcast. So I don't know maybe. And I think Carol remarks has more followers. Anyway, I'm just talking out loud now about that. That's not important right now to me. Um, but yeah, that's it for now?

Uh, I'm about 12 minutes in, so I guess I'll probably will end. This seems like there was something else I wanted to tell y'all or talk about. Um, so hang on a minute. I remember now I wanna share with you some things that I'm watching the Jen and I just finished up stranger things. The first half of season four, which is the first seven episodes, spoil alert, spoil alert alerts.

If you don't, if you haven't watched it yet and you're gonna watch it, then just pause it right now, skip over this or something. But it was so well done . That seventh episode was so well done and how they tied everything together. And I knew something up. I knew something was up with that intern. I knew it. And I also knew something was up with Victor C's son . When they first introduced all of them into the season.

I knew something was wrong with those two, but I didn't know what, but I knew something was gonna happen. That was amazing how they did that. And I guess episode eight and nine are gonna come out in July. So I'm curious , I think Nancy's gonna get killed. I don't know why she didn't make it through the hole with like the other was , why did, why did she get, why did she get singled out and not make it through?

And she's the one witnessing everything about what happened with Victor Carell's son and who he really is. I don't know why they picked her, but anyway, it's really good. I'm glad to see hopper and Joyce reunited, even though there's still in a precarious situation precarious, is that the right word? Dangerous situation. I should say. Um, anyway, the other thing I've continued watching is called hacks. It's on HBO max. I think it is. It has stars . Gene smart.

I already watched the first episode . I mean the first season when it came out, but the second season has now dropped and I've watched, I think the first five episodes last night, they're only like 30 minutes long. So they're not, they're not long in length to watch, but I like this character and I like this show a lot. I like Jean smart. And I really like her character in here in this.

If you don't know what it is, she's like an older comedian Las Vegas style comedian, and she's kind of on the edge of being obsolete and she's trying to reinvent herself. So she hires this younger more woke writer . I say woke. It's not annoyingly woke. Okay. It's it's good. It's good woke because this girl is a mess too. They're both messes, but they get together. It's really good. It's very well done. Okay. So that's what I'm watching. I hope you guys check it out. All right . I'm gonna go.

This has been long enough. Enjoy your week until next time. My little love bunnies have a good one.
