IT'S ALRIGHT! IT'S OKAY!! THERE'S A NEW EPISODE TO LISTEN TO!! JIAH TOLD ME SOOOOOOOOO! This month we're covering the 1999 cult classic documentary AMERICAN MOVIE. Brought to us by Chris Smith and Sarah Price, we follow the trials and tribulations of filmmaker Mark Borchardt as he desperately tries to finish his horror films NORTHWESTERN and COVEN.

This doc feels like it was filmed entirely in another dimension. The more time we spend in Milwaukee with Mark and his crew (especially his childhood friend Mike Schank) the more we bare witness to the never-ending struggle of being an artist and the toll it takes to fulfill an artistic vision. Which is something we definitely do NOT relate to. At all. Not in the slightest. Nope. No problems over here. Making art is EASY and FUN.
