Ryszard Legutko fought for freedom in Poland as an underground editor in the anti-communist Solidarity movement. But after democracy was restored in Poland, he began seeing trends he didn’t expect in not just Poland, but many other liberal democracies as well.

A professor, philosopher, and most recently a politician, Ryszard Legutko explains his findings in his book “The Demon in Democracy: Totalitarian Temptations in Free Societies.”
