The spread of misinformation has a harmful health impact on personal and public health. The creation and spread of falsehoods is a serious threat to nursing practice and patient safety. Nurses, cited as the most trusted profession for their honest and ethical standards, have a critical responsibility to combat misinformation among patients, families, and communities.
