Yet another mass shooting in the US

America today woke to news of yet another mass shooting, this time at a Walmart in Chesapeake, Virginia, on the eve of the Thanksgiving holiday. That makes two mass shootings in Virginia this month, and seven in America in the past seven days – including the weekend killings at an LGBTQ club in Colorado. This summer, President Biden signed the first major gun safety bill in nearly three decades, but any further developments on this front are unlikely – particularly with the Republicans taking control of the House of Representatives in January. Representative Jim Clyburn joins the show to discuss all this, and the upcoming transition of power within the Democratic caucus.
