Episode description

Evacuations are underway from the besieged Ukrainian city of Mariupol, where dozens of civilians who were holed up in and around the Azovstal steel plant have emerged. But hundreds more remain, running out of food, water, and medicine. Mariupol’s mayor says the Russian forces are creating obstacles and making progress on evacuations difficult. Journalist Peter Pomerantsev is an expert on Russian propaganda, and he recently spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He joins the program from Lithuania.
