Hi. My name is Tom Welling. I played Clark Ken on Smallville and you are listening to Always Hold On to Smallville. Welcome to Always on the Smallville. In this podcast, we talked about each and every episode of the Young Superman show ran from two thousand and one to two thousand and eleven on the WB and the c W. I'm your host, Sackmore. You're back for a mail bag number eleven? Wow? And who do we have with me? That's right, mister Nick Ryan Magdoza. Hello, hello's back.

I am back, still watching the show. Yeah, I will. I will complete the podcast. Bet, don't worry. I got plenty of time. We have a bet. Well it's not bad, but podcast promise, that's what I bet. Bet. Bet. So the kids say these days right? Actually I don't think so they do? They do? Okay, still say they also say she's right too, Gee Wilkers, mister Kenton. We also have from from all this want to Arrow's. I was trying to plug your podcast, but you're just so eager to I am eager to be

here, eager beaver. Yeah you can't say that too, right, Nick, No, you're just an eager mailbag number eleven, can you believe it. No, I actually can't. Can't believe it's in the bring between season eight and nine. Yea, at some point we got off and this is not going to be a two partner by the way, Okay, I know I always say that, but I'm pretty sure because they didn't. I haven't done anything giveaway contenting in between the mailbags, so I haven't had the influx

of reviews. So I'm feeling a one partner. I know, I know I said that last time. Let's put it to the time before this episode was three hours long. But hey, Nick, you saw the flash with us a couple weeks ago. Yes, I did, And what did you think? Oh? Man, um, what did I think? I made that tweet out. I don't know if you guys talked about it because I actually probably missed the episode, but uh I did, of course. Yeah, we had a patroon episode for it. Yeah, I don't think you're

on that level of patron job, but then I probably didn't. We're gonna have a Superman special about it coming up after this. Okay. Well, the tweet that I had made was it felt like when you left the room or when the movie ended, the room you watched movie yet. Yeah, yes, the theater felt like you were part of the crowd with your home team losing the playoffs, like it was just shuffling out, which is weird.

Weird because everyone was really hyped up in the movie in the beginning of the movie, shouting at the screen, and then the end was really quiet. Yeah. There are a few crowd moments. Yeah. I think definitely the movie thought they were gonna be a whole lot more moments. Yeah, but specifically, there was one crowd moment where Michael Keaton's Batman crashes his bat wing into the ship, and I think somebody thought that it was like a

cheer moment. Yeah, it's like a little that was the first of many times that Michael Keaton's Batman was going to die. Ye, Like, yeah, so some YouTuber picked up your tweet yes and referenced it, and as I was like, dude, yeah, so I commented on in the you commented on in so he gave your credit, gave me credit, and I subscribed and hit the like what was his name? Oh, that's a good question. You don't no, I don't know how you don't look look it

up for a second. If you're wait, what's going on with Twitter today? If you're, oh my, your limit has been yeah, we're we're this might be the last day of Twitter. It might be our limit has reached exceeding omit rate limit. That's m so if you if if you haven't exceeded your rate limit, then maybe you can look up who that was.

Yeah, I'm getting there. I'm getting there. I just was watching because I was after I saw you know, it's like, oh good, I now I can watch because I want to see some fro myself first and then I'll see what other people thought of it. Right, And so I just saw a ree and I clicked on it, and then the guys he's like, so so a tweet and it was like it was Nick tweet. Yeah, it is Nerdy Nightly. I follow them as well. Now, yeah, I haven't watched video of them since, but I'm sure they got good

content on. I enjoyed that video. I thought it was very based. But you watched the video. Yes, I watched the video. It was pretty much exactly aligned with what we thought the movie. Yeah, it felt like so yeah, And I think I shared that with some people since it didn't have spoilers whenever they asked me what I thought of the movies like this, This said exactly and it actually used my tweet. Yea. So it was a couple of weeks ago we we catch them aga doing stuff. So,

but now we're here to do our mail bag. That's not was that the thing that was the mail bag from? What's it called part of the interruption? No, part of the part of the interruption is mail time. No, you remember blues clues like we just got a letter, Yeah, we just got a letter. Wonder who it's from? Yeah, and then it's like they do that really long males. It's time. I just know the jingle. Okay, they do the male before they I wonder who it's

from. I would know because he's Filipino. Now it's true. It's like Jake from State Farm. Yeah, it's a fun like comedian bit about Jake from State Farm. Y'all look it up. It's funny Jake from State Farm. Though. That's gonna be a Mandela effect, I know, because you know what I'm talking about, right, I know who? But now I'm questioning everything. If you just close your eyes and you envisioned Jake from State Farm, who who comes to mind? What do you see what does he

look like? I don't know why, but I see Jarvis Johnson. If anybody knows who's who that is? Okay, well you're you're the new age Jake from State Farm. Oh wait, no, I see the old guy, old guy that yeah, yeah, multiverse, Yeah, that's the Bernstein Bear stuff going on there. Yeah, whoa, Okay, you know what I'm saying. That's what this whole stand up comedy Jake is talking. It's hilarious. How did we get on that mail mail? Yeah, we just

gotta let her wonder who it's from. All right, let's open the mailbag. Let's do it. That was the mail bag. Sorry, mail bag is not of a zipper. But our first Our first email is from Forrest yesness, email titled Finally Zach. I'm so glad to finally be writing and to a last peep out of the Patriot, I'm only sorry to me eight seasons to Get my Leap Together podcast bleep. See this man respects the rules of the podcast like a lot of you around here. M I didn't know

we were bleeping, including my wife. That's the best I've told myself. I wouldn't write until I got caught up and I fell behind a bit around your coverage of season seven to eight. Know that I have been loyally following from the shadow since the beginning. Here I am finally stepping into the lights, and look at that that is This is a smaller reference, not a partner rises reference. All right, but I never escaped. I cannot tell you. But the podcast is meant to me, and means to me.

I have spent a majority of my twenty year small fandom, believing this show, like the town itself, was a tiny blip compared to the metropolis size popular television of the world. Anyone I ever spoke with about Smallville was a family member or friend I dragged into watching some kicking and screaming, oh there's more, willing we know. Even those who liked it were never prepare to dissect it the way I needed to. So I went about life believing I

had this epic secret to this awesome moving story. Then the podcast came into my orbit. Finally I was not alone in my love of Smallville. Hearing you and your guest discuss laughing yes, nitpick while I'm in the car on a run or cleaning up around the apartment is just so fun and means a great deal to me. To a passer by, I probably look like an escape bell reef patient as I comment, laugh and yell back at you and your guests each episode, but inside I feel a real camaraderie, like a

junior Lifeguards association. I'm a small over when I listen. I since not only you and your guests, but the other fans listening to you have done much more than just put a podcast together, and I hope you're proud of it. Also, meeting you in Lance at wizard World in Austin was a treat. I was floored when you name dropped me on your wizard World recap

episode. Thank you too. More time together in person? Add another convention or perhaps you need a host and always on a small will conference just saying I mean Zack Snyder gets his own on why can't you have one? Oh? Yeah, there is no greater time to be a small boy fan with always salom to Smallville and now Talkville. I was so thrilled you were invited the least Michael and Tom could do. An appreciation of all your work when I listened to that episode and you got Tom to record your bump. I

literally shot of a joy for you while stuck in traffic. Yeah, that was a moment. I was like, I gotta shoot my shot. I didn't think you're gonna leave that in the show. Yeah. But yeah, when I heard it, I was surprised too. I was like, Oh, I thought this would be like more of like, Oh, did you watch that Talk Fuel episode? I listened, Oh, I just left it all in the back. How many episodes of talk vill have listened to? Just that one? Okay? Because I know on this podcast, watch it

every week. I wouldn't miss it. I get the Patreon notification every week. That's when were you on drone? Or were you on one of YouTube? Was on drone? Because you guys, but the two of you were like seventy percent of my season one guests. Yeah, yes it was you because I asked you if you voted for me for band president. Yes, yes, I know it was you. Fredo. Listen apply there. That

was a good thing. Yeah. Uh, there's always more to say, So I will wrap this up for now and get into the habit of writing more often. I'm proudly part of the patreonch community. Look forward to joining thirty three point one discussion soon. Congratulations are recent season eight for US fans sake. I hope his final three seasons go slowly. Thank you for keeping small l on the map. Zach Forrest, well, thanks Forest, I appreciate that. I remember you. Forrest. It was small nice. Yeah,

it was cool. It was fun. Um. It's always a few times that we've gotten to meet like listeners of the podcast. It's always very cool. It's always also very humbling. I've mentioned it to keV, I think off Mike. I don't know if I mentioned it on Mike, but I'm still kind of like thrown that people like want to listen to things that I have to say, and so it's, uh, that's a humbling thing because I mean, as a teacher, like I have to deal with people

who don't want to listen to me on a daily basis. So um, it's it's a new phenomenon when people actually like actively go out of their way to be like, yeah, I want to listen to this guy today. So thank you for those of the doo oh and for me, I'm just glad to be on the mailback episode. In the beginning, it was pretty funny, especially recapping going through shows that I used to watch and talking with

everybody. But it's actually I loved seeing it grow, and it's amazing where we are right now, and I'm very appreciated everybody who listens, and probably those who are like, oh hey, it's that guy. He's back again. It's a cool giving for the show. Yeah, that's true. You sew him to this role nicely. Yeah, but you really do need to finish watching the show, don't get Don't get me wrong. I will as long as I've plenty of times. Yeah, as long as Hulu doesn't suddenly

disappear. I think you don't own small than physical media. I know you do, so that's why I got there. Friends. All right, well let's why don't you read the next entry? All right? So next we have a five star iTunes review from ye hy Limb titled favorite podcast, Let the Nostalgia Flow. Brilliant podcast. I was never a podcast a guy before this. Now I'm hooked since my son was born into twenty twenty one. Congratulations. I've literally been through your collection till I've caught up and now have

this weird feeling of having to wait a week for a new episode. Brilliant guests and fantastic discussions. I can literally see each scene as you describe. Watching Smallville growing up was always my thing, stuck with it when others left, and I'm glad I'm not the only one. Can't speak highly enough of this got me through many sleepless nights with a crying baby. Hello. Hell, thanks for thanks guys. Keep it up. I'll try some of your

other podcasts now to buy myself some time. Does that mean your show? Maybe? Maybe? Maybe not? Actually, I love always on the legs. Yeah, you know what, shout out to hot the clott clot. Listen to a hot clot. No, I haven't. Okay, if you watched Lenizo tomorrow, Yes that was actually I started watching that more than actual show. Yeah. Yeah I should. Yeah I should also, but not until you've caught up on this show. Yeah, it was like, do you do you want me to? Which one do you want me to do?

First? Well, let's be realistic. You can go away and listen to that when it's fine, because here hundreds of episodes behind. Yeah. I can literally probably leave it on the background while I work. Yeah, that's what I want to hear. Let's be nice. I listened to Sunday nine nine point one all day. I'm really good friends with Delilah and when driving home. But it's a fun thinking about that. Like as a as a kid, you see these radio station and merchants, like people just listen

to the radio all day long. It depends on your job. I know a lot of people listen to our podcast We've We've true. Yeah, a lot of loyal listeners are just just gets them through their day quite literally, and yeah, and that's what they got. All thanks for that five star

of you. Yes, uh yee, I don't know, I think, um, thanks for the five star of you and you to both these the forests as well, and you like, we do this because it's a show we love and it's a good excuse to revisit it and it's a good excuse to hang out as friends and geek out. But you know, it's it's I know how you feel, but listen to podcast or like get you through stuff or you know, you feel like it's a it's a companion there for

you. Yeah, I'm really glad that we can like provide that because it's a lot of crazy stuff happens in this world, you know, every day, and you know when when you're when you're looking forward to a podcast and drops in your feet. You're like, yeah, like you know, like, okay, good, I got an hour or so here I can just you know, either be with me on my workout, or when I'm mowing the lawn or even just sitting around the couch at home after a long day.

You know that that's uh, I know that feeling. So I'm glad that we could you know, pay it forward and pass along to it. You guys, that means a lot to a lot of kind of words fro both you also think so much. All right, And we have another email from our favorite fan, Corey Moore. Legend legend. Oh well, yes, legend, but he titled it legion. That's where I got confuse the legend. Then you are now the legend in my book too. He starts with, Hi, mister Moore, that's me. The weirdest thing happened this

morning on February tenth. I walked into the bar barn to do my morning chores and on the ground I see a shiny gold thing. I went over and grabbed it and realized it's a toy ring. Just figuring out one of my daughters must have dropped it. I put it into my pocket and went about my chores while listening to the always Hold onto Smallville. After that fresh episode, Oh, I'm glad I got to say that. After that fresh

episode was over, I reached it. I reached into my pocket to change it to an ESPN podcasts on the latest super Bowl coverage and wish, not realizing I accidentally slipped the ring onto my finger and transported to the year twenty twenty three, February eleventh, in Glendale, Arizona, the future. Well, I'm back after watching that wild super Bowl. You want to know the score? Of course you do. Kansas City thirty five versus Philly thirty one,

Travis Kelsey hauling in the MVP trophy. Back to reality. Your Legion discussion with Lance and Chris Cloud was excellent. Never apologize for your side tangents. It was always fun listening to you guys talk about some of the past comic book stories. Jeff Johns and Lance's new game. What does the scene remind you of? Lance needs to bring that scene game to every episode from

here on out. What was remember? I can't remember? You know, guys who show that it was a long time ago to listen to that episode. The Legion episode is a fan boys dream, the Persuader, Techno, Exorcism, flight Rings, Ck Signed Baseball, and Lana's bullet, Well not the bullet. I love, love, love, and love the Legion episode. It's in my top ten Smallville episodes. I think my favorite scene is

when Clark convinces the group to never take a life. Clark is showing his superman abilities to lead, and it's about time he needs to do this more often. The episode grades is add an a plus, long lived, Legion, more flight Rings, I get it. M. I don't think Legion made our top ten episodes. Yeah, um, what did you mean my top ten personal episodes? Maybe? Maybe? What about you? Oh, I don't think it made mine. It might have been an honorable mention.

Well, Nick, you don't have enough knowledge of the show. The first ten episodes are great, all right, he watched a little more than that. I know. Yeah, No, Legion is pretty great. So look up our top ten episodes find out the top of it. We could try to list them off, but we undoubtedly just burned time not coming to the right answer. So thank you so much as always, Corey for email.

You'll be heard a lot more in the mail back and again, if you want to be heard as much as Corey Moore, all you gotta do is his email email. So there you have it. Onto the next email from Michael Christopher email titled podcast Dear Zach. I only recently on your podcast, well really, I was introduced to it from the talk Fill podcast, the second oh, the second best podcast. I follow the two concurrently, so it's kind of worked out well for me. The different perspectives really help a

lot. I've listened to a whole load of the Inside of You podcasts as well, that has kind of got less than less as I've just focused on these two small vel based ones. I really enjoyed a lot, and it's been a huge opening up for me. I didn't know many fans of the show. Friends were aware of it and maybe the odd episode, but weren't

hooked in the way that I was and still am. If friends were into superheroes, it would be Spider Man or Batman or just as likely to reference Zapp Bam thinking how you can take these things seriously when they wear tights.

A real shame for me because I missed the chance to nerd out and talk about these things seriously, or if I did, it would be because of friends had set me up by lighting a known personal refuse about them over a beer and laugh at me as I rant about Superman is Shakespeare in a pub? Oh well, So anyway we listen to the podcast is a joy, and if you'd ever like a psychological input on these things, I'm there for you. Thanks again. You seem like a top fella and really hilarious.

It feels like I'm eas dropping on the next door as you and your friends chat's novel over a beer. That's a nice approach for a podcast to allow the listener to feel like that. Best switches Mike, Mike, I am probably gonna take you up on that, your doctor, as you said, and you're sign off, so psychologist, perhaps you know I'll be fan of that Arkham Sessions podcast by having an animated series, so it's that'd be fun. Well, I'll be in touch, Michael. I have your email.

I'll be in touch. But yeah, you know, and that's you know, to hear you describe how it feels. That's exactly the vibe we're going for when we start this thing where you're just you're sitting at the lunch table or whatever. But yeah, right, I mean, that's that's the whole vibe. That is the vibe, and that's that's not the first time that the show has been described in that way. So it's cool that we're still and you in particular are still carrying that out. So we're doing something right,

yea. We're getting We're getting the feedback that we want to hear. So I'm glad we can provide that a people what they want, give the people, get a people. What the an where that song is? No? All right, I don't want to guess it's literally in the title of the song. Oh well, I wouldn't even be able to tell you. It would have been one or the other that you would have gotten me on all right. Next, got an email from the Legend titled Requiem. Hey

Zach, please be patient, this might take a while. This stretch of lana return episode has me silent. You've probably noticed that I haven't sent in my thoughts about Bulletproof and Power. I'm a Klanna shipper and the way the

writers handled her and Clark's relationship was very disappointing. But first, let's pour one out for Lana and remember her amazing time on small Bill like when she was a cheerleader or Softcorelna and Nicodemus, Lana kissing whip me in quotations, I like that goodbye at the bus stop and then getting caught up in a tornado. Lana dealing with aunt Nell's new boyfriend and finding out that her biological

dad is alive. Was standing at Horny Clark on red k patience with a sensitive Jekyl and high poetry writing guy getting two time by Ian who who can split himself. Lana learning kung flu a six year old clone friend who pushes her off a bridge, gil Boy trying to drown her in the in the high school pool, Skinny dipping in Crater Lake with Clark Slumber, Lana be meeting Bruce Wayne er Adam in therapy at Amarkham Knight Arkham Adam. That was

the hashtag. Her and Chloe's incredible fight in the girl's locker room, Lana's phone call from the future to Clark and Lana go into Paris. Shall I go on? That's a silly question, of course I should. Yeah. Lana and her art rubbing rubbing and getting blinded by light dating the assistant football coach Jason tue A Lana Winch getting possessed again, but this time by Don

Styles genius. Clark and Lana find a baby who rapidly ages. She finds an alien spaceclaff and deals with Zod's Bossinus sorority vampire Lexa's Christmas dream being with Lana locked in a safe room with Lex. Ain't that a mother? One of my favorite small vel quotes. Clark's proposal to Lana turns deadly for Jonathan. Lana finds Jonathan's watch. Lana drives her into a cyborg. Jonathan's watch.

That was the most that was like, we're gonna talk Lana back into that should have been the Daredevil. Batman returned phantasm, ending were like the angel A Ange of that episode. Yeah, he was the watch and she's like, oh yeah, I found it, Like come on, I've forgotten about that. And then Maddigan anyway, she drives her car where now was the next thing? I'm sorry? Oh, Lana drives her car into a cyborg. A tough breakup has Lana doing drugs, Lana and Lex kissing.

Shall I go on? Hell no, this madness stops. Now your discussion with Lance and the mats perfectly summed up every situation wrong with the Botch Clark and Lana situation. Early into your review, you went around the table to test the water on the zoom Zach. At four minutes into the podcast, you had the perfect word to sum up how I felt for years. You said, quote the big picture decisions they made with major characters are unforligivable boom

mic drop notes. Uh, Lance, mister fix this. Uh please tell the past. That's hilarious because we actually you must wed. We literally told no no, but we did tell Nick this earlier to Sorry, if we ever come down here, we ever go up there, Yeah, we'll tell it. We'll tell it to you. Uh. Lance gives this episode a B minus. I know, I don't. Yeah, it's mostly based on my enjoyment of watching of rewatching it well together. Yeah, that's basically what

it is. Uh, Lance, Laster is the blueprint that is awesome. I mean, I agree you must have said that in the podcast. Probably again, Guys, you we feel this episode so long ago, don't remember. Subscribe to us because we need it. Look, if you want to hear us continue to do season nine Patron dot Com slash always Mobile, but us. Go listen to Sunspin on Spotify. You got to sign Sunspin. Oh, I grated this episode with the c See that's not so far off

from a bas Corey, Come on, Corey. It's it's also a small difference seventy nine and eighty. I'm like, you go home and you give your parents a b or a sieve. There's a difference. I know there's a difference, but it's still like like if if you if if it's just like the Nu miracle thing, like it's yeah, I'm with you, Corey. Okay, I remember what I did Doomsday with Anthony. He was yeah, I really enjoyed your conversation. I laughed out loud. Am taking crazy

pills here. That's how Hey, now you know how it feels. That's how I feeled most of the time. That's how I felt for a couple of days after I saw the flash. But then I was quickly vindicated a general movie audience. Thank you, Yes, well I was anyway, y'all hurt me already. Uh, if you're on the patroon, which by the way, it's true, we need you, we need you, but the cryptot decision, you get me A joke for the next two years on this podcast. By the way, so I hope you're hears do it. I

hope you're amused by it. Please continue? But the cryptonite decision to give Clark and Lana apart gets an f How is Clark gonna move on and fall in love with Lois with this plot device? Up, up and away? No more? That's one of my favorite sign office. All right, and now we have another email from Stephen Phillips. Not your main cast member podcast, Zach and Friends. That's me. I'm the friends. Well, I

hope I am. You know. It's funny we don't we do not plot out this is an order, and then we sit down here and we go on a round table and most of the time it all just kind of works out. Who gets what? Email? Ye? Hey, I've been listening since twenty eighteen and have really enjoyed rewatching with y'all. I'm a Texan too, I've enjoyed. I've really enjoyed the depth of research poured into the show, as well as the critical points made along the way. Let's be honest,

this show was firing on all pistons for ten years. I'm also listening to Talkville, though I find that they just kind of blow through the script and don't have much as insight as I thought people who actually experience making the show. Tom had some good insights to the ins and outs of creating show. Not to bag on Michael, but I wonder where his head is and focus is sometimes. And just the other day he said there's no other Smallville

rewatch podcasts just months after interviewing you. I don't know all that to say. I just really appreciate the hard work you put into this and enjoyed the sidebars and nerd tangents between friends. Take care and keep being great man, Steve, Steve, Steve, let me let me tell you, Steve, I don't like I don't get up in the morning and immediately watch or listen to Talkville. I mean, I try to watch it soon enough, right

when I have the time and the day. I've actually started watching it now more so than just listening, because there's different experience to why I think you have individual elements right then. So so because I try to watch it, I listen to it like that even puts it off even further. It's like, well, if I had been to day, may I watch like at

home or if I have a soul day. Maybe I can watch it, but it's not like I'm driving in my car or something doing something else and can listen to it, like it came with a lot of other podcasts. So that particular day, I believe that was I think it was the Ryan

episode, if you recall or not. It was like it was like early season two, and I started getting messages and comments from people from like, dude, I choose from a small little to day and talking about today, and I'm like, no, and and everybody's a variation of like Michael just said, they were the only small little podcast. I'm like, oh really yeah, And it's just I appreciate all of you, and a lot of you are out there listening with I'm sure who like message me he or said

something to me about it. We had we had some fun conversations on the side about it. But that was the first time I ever saw like like like like a vibe from Zach that was like, oh really that yeah, like to your point, look and he's just trying to feel timing starts to show, right. So I wasn't, like, I'm not gonna say it wasn't personally infinited by it. And I took that personal. But I did.

I didn't sweet at them, Yeah exactly. I think a screenshot of Rosenbom saying like we're the only Spot podcast and then Jordan's saying, I took that person from the last dance, So yeah, I trust us. We had some fun conversations and continue to do so behind the scenes about about some of these things. And uh, I think maybe the next week or two, I think maybe some feedback or go back to them because it's like, well, you know, well maybe you others do it, but you know,

we were there, which is a valid point. Yeah, but to go out of your way to say that it did. Uh, I did. I did do a double take. Ye. So well, I'm glad that there are fans out there that I wanted you guys to know that. Hey, no, we know you're out there. Yeah yeah. I got comments on there. Oh yeah, like comments on their thing about it, which is so hilarious. I felt I felt seen and hurt. Ye, not by them, obviously, guys the listener, So thank you so much

for that for the email. Steve. All Right, so we have a five star iTunes aka Apple podcast. I'm gonna call it iTunes the rest of my life. Like I know, it's Apple Podcasts. Yeah, it's like the Transco Tower, right, yeah, Theiames Tower now, yeah, I call it Transcope Reliant Stadium, yeah, rg, the Reliant Astrodome. What have we done with the astroname? Nothing, it's still there. It's still there, but we haven't done anything. That's we don't have time for that.

Yeah, conversation right now, that's whole that's a whole other product. I might do a podcast. It's a whole pot. What's up, guys, I'm here like from the Astrodome here and we're wonders. No, there's no bigger Astrona's fan than me. I love the Astrodome. Uh if you can tear it down Nyankee Stadium, you can tear it down the astro that's right. I kind of stand on it now. But now it's almost been too long where it's like, well, now you should have done it,

like ripped that band aid off. Now it's like, well that's been there. Well I remember marching, and that's right, we all got to march. That was hard to do with thatches like I always are sitting the astronome seeds and oh man, that's a great memory. Yeah. I think you only got to march their once right now, Yes, away week I got to twice nice and then you were every almost every ear four times. Yeah, oh wow, that's awesome. How do you go on there? Well

you were going to make a podcast? Yeah, let me get to this review Katie Pixie titled running like a Blur to catch up. I am loving this podcast. Heard about Talk Feel first and heard you as a guest on their show. Went to your show and I'm having so much fun. Knocked out thirty episodes in about two months. That's impressive. Well is it the one every other day? Yeah? Yeah, I respect that. Thank you so much. Good pace and love all the insights and the tally board.

Being from Houstone, what Steve was a texted or come on, hey you're from music Astronaut. You don't we're talking? Thanks Kitty fixing, Yeah, what are your thoughts on the should we tear it down? That's right by the way, ready to rain hash Jack Being from Houston, I love the references and again, y'all, this this just works out all right and just really relate to my own experience in small small Ville. First watch, my middle name is Lata, so I am partial to Superman lore she's named after.

Okay, oh wow, your podcast is excellent and I will blur my way to catch up your specials about Man of Steel and other supermedia is so bonus. Five stars. Thank you excellent. Well, thank you, Kitty, and please let us know, well this was a review of the email us. Yeah, please do and let us know if you think we should share on the astrome or not. It's amazing. Yeah yeah, and yeah, let's see a thirty episdisodes in two months, one every other day.

I mean, when I'm bingching stuff, if you're on a Benje Bne, you can get you can do it even more than that. But uh uh yeah, thank you for coming over here from seeing me on talk Field so as supposed to laugh about the talk stuff. It's like, look, that was a great opportunity for me. I really enjoyed me on the show,

spend that short time with Michael and Tom. There got bumping from Tom obviously is Forstmenshi at the top, huge moment, like it's like a similar moment of the podcast because I was I'm like, well, you know, maybe if I mean we convention mean, but that was gonna shoot your shot right, because you miss one hundred percent of the shots you don't take. Wayne

Gretzky, Michael Scott, Scott that was not planned what was coming? Um, but no uh, And that's definitely opened up a lot more opportunities for me to expand my audience. For people who watch Chokola, I'm like, oh, who's this guy I like watching or listening to this novel podcasts? Let me check out what this other guy has to say. And they're very different obviously different vibes, so it depends on what you're going or what you're

looking for. But I'm very happy that we fell out, and I get that a lot notes from people that people found out about me in the podcast on talk Field and are now over here. So as much fun as we poking some of the things that go on over there, yeah, it all comes from a place of love, just like when we make fun of a

small bille. Yeah exactly, or me let's move on all right. I got another email here from the Legend so it says Superman and low Us TV plus Infamous and Turbulence out Zach, thank you and to all your podcast crew for your work. It's very entertaining to listen to you guys, indeed appreciate it. Ah, spring has sprung and the MLB season is a new Hopefully this season your astros will make it easy. Take it easy on the Mariners,

Corey, we got some there's some dark days. Sorry, Broh the ms of the only MLB team to never make the World Series and I'm not happy about that. Thanks again for starting up the Fantasy Baseball League and hopefully you won't cheat again and win the league or was that the Football league? Ha just kidding. Anyone who wins in fantasy sports deserve the credit for daily

attention to his or her roster. Also not cool. Not realizing it was April first, I checked your Facebook page and read the headline, Michael Rosavana Playlex Luthor in the upcoming move. For a few seconds you had me. I have enjoyed your Superman in Lowest TV coverage with Sarah I Binge. Watched the first three episode first three TV episodes and then listen to your podcast reviews. It was fun listening to you speculate YouTube speculate on as to what was

going on, even though I already knew. I really enjoy that TV show so far. It gets an A minus to the start of the season. I find the lowest cancer storyline very interesting and can't wait to see how they tackle it. Because Lois can't die, right she better not or I'm turning in my Superman card. The Infamous episode I quite like, but first, shout out to Matt chu X that's always always shout out to Matt always. He has a silky smooth voice that even makes the CW network executive jealous.

They can't haven't hired him, They should hire him. Infamous had a lot of great stuff, Clark showing up late in the rain, Linda Lake doing her evil Clark telling telling Lois's secret, a badass fight between Lois and Lake, time travel, and a huge pillow smother by Doom's Davis. My favorite scene has to be when things get out of control and Clark is forced to use time travel to start over. Infamous gets a huge A minus. Next, there is no turbulence when Lance is a guest host. Cool af thank

you man. Shout out to DJ Dwina. The Moors are jealous of his stack keeping. Unfortunately, this episode will step down from the previous. We all remember the evacuation from the airplane. But what else happened exactly? My favorite scene is jumping out of the plane turbulence get grades at a C plus for me, Up, Up and away more farm rustangs. That's his Fantasy baseball, Yes it is. And I did not cheat. Nope. You had a good year, had a good year, Got married, yep,

got on Tokville yep. One fantasy baseball. Got's where the Naturals word series bread because they went the world space that's right. Oh yeah, it's hard to top I mean that's yeah, yeah, just in the franchise. Now you know what I'm saying. Singles sounds dark? Actually, Nick, why don't you continue? Yeah? So now we have a Spotify comment from Hunter and it was for the episode hecks. Yeah. Yeah. By the way, on these Spotify comments, this is a new thing Spotify is doing.

Yeah, they kind of automatically signed sometimes opened it up for episodes because Spotify doesn't do for views like you can leave like a star rating, but that you can't leave like a like a type of view like you can an Apple podcast. So I guess this is their answer to that, and maybe I think it's trying to be different. Yeah, yeah, but they I didn't even open these up myself. They kind of did it. So maybe I'll do that for all the episodes, and maybe people can leave comments and stuff.

But yeah, yeah, that's really cool. That's where that's where these come from. It's just a couple of these. But yeah, so Hunter says, I think this was a really fun episode and should be the norm for filler episodes. I watched with my girlfriend and we were both cracking up at some of the Clark's lines when he forgets he has powers. You know, I wouldn't call us a filler episode. It's actually kind of an important

one. Well, I mean, but it's clearly kind of finding your places Watchdower, yes, in the middle of her whole Davis booming thing problem. But whenever you introduce a comma about character, like it's a toime, I wouldn't call that a filler. Yeah, although I do know it doesn't like contribute to the main arc of the season, just doomsday, So that's probably were coming from there, Hunter, But but you no, I agree. I think that all the Clark stuff was delightful, and it just again showed

me like how great Tom Welling would be. Is like Christopher Reeve Clark at all. Yeah, like he tries to be at the end of the your Bathroom Tom's Gray Community timing, and he would be funny if they if they had him do more Clark stuff like that. So it takes a beast. Thanks for the comment Hunter, and uh yeah, I encourage your by else to if you're listening on Spotify and you have something to say about a particular episode, leave comment there. That's great. All right, So we have

another five star Apple podcast slash iTunes review from Lex Din. Seriously the best I've been listening to Always on the Small Ball since they were on season three, and they continue to be one of my all time favorite podcasts. Well thanks, Lex's appreciate this in season three, which was a long time ago. Who twenty eighteen. Oh, that is a long time ago, So thanks Les. Al right, Next, we have another five star iTunes review from Chili con Stevo. I like that. That's cool leaping podcast in a

single bound Chloe voice. After listening to the recap of season of eight seasons, I think this is the best small Ville rewatch podcast I've come across, and it has spawned several great Always rewatches under its umbrella. Hey, Not only do they go in depth about each episode and give great insight, but the friendship zach And has with his guests are well rounded, genuine, and

the conversations make for a refreshing listen. I appreciate the banter, and honestly, I don't know that I would change anything about the format of this show looking forward to the final two seasons, I give this podcast three roses and two point nine three Lance, last look at it again, not planning. We didn't map this, so we didn't count the head just we made a list. Everybody, remember I remember when I put that in here, I was like, oh, hop Lance, because to read this there we are

two because nothing to me as go as the pilot. That's true, That's why it's only two. Appreciate it, That's that's great. I really appreciate and I appreciate the quoting a line and the annoying line of the show that I use it as an example of Yeah, so I thank you. You know, I think we might be the best mom We'll rewatch podcast too. We are we are the one that I listened to the most episodes of.

Well, that's not saying much. Appreciate that. Chili on Steve, I don't be a stranger, all right, We have a email from Zachary Bradley Season eight wrap up. Hey, Zach, long time listener, second time emailer, also fortunate enough to compete in both the Always hold On Too Small Football and Always Hold On to Baseball leagues before diving into the small Ville of it all, I have to thank you for expanding to Always Hold On two

verse. I recently made the daunting decision to rewatch finish the Arrow verse with the Flash, ending it officially on May twenty fourth, so about a month ago. I started Arrow because I had only previously seen each Arrow episode once aside from the crossovers, it was a perfect time to start to Always Hold Onto Arrow podcasts. Hey appreciate it, and have to say I am enjoying

it. Shout out to Lanton Cavante, Shout out to you, Zach Bradley, and to be probably the one hundredth person to say this, but you have not failed this podcast. Appreciate it. We do need that Always Hold Onto the Flash Modern podcast though. That's what we're gonna do. Yeah, you know, if you really want us to do all us wanted the Flash, Yeah, you go to oat how many episodes are there in Flash?

Oh gosh, we you know, we We've said it on microphone. We did the Flash finale and we were like, you know, we we talked about it, like, oh yeah, you know Arrow and Small will in it. We'll do Flash because it's gonna be over. But I'm telling y'all, whenever I saw that lightsaber fight on Twitter that season seven finale, I was like, Nope, not gonna be able to do it. And I don't know, we'll see where we got. Well, I'll say I've seen

a lot of Flash episodes. So if you need help with that, oh oh yeah, now you're gonna watch a show, Well, I've already watched most of the episodes. Put that time to get use Yeah, well, well we'll see. Yeah. We we have lots of other things we talked about doing. Yeah, and there's some things in the work that y'all don't

know about yet. Yeah, you don't even know how fancy? Yeah yeah, anyway, all right, I understand the people like these guys talking about this too, but it's like, can we just do like the first season? Thanks? Check, We'll think about it. Yeah, to continue. Zachary goes on, Also, when I get to Legends of it All. I look forward to the subsequent podcasts. Anything containing Matt Chuis is a plus.

That is true bullseye or rose, depending on your grading scale. The last time I wrote in, you were about to dive into season six, one of my favorite seasons. I remember you. I remember going in you had said season six was one wasn't one of your favorite seasons, so I was excited to hear your analysis. I think as the season went on your opinion changed a bit, and it's a bit better than you had remembered. But you also managed to point out some stuff I possibly look past, which

is good as I might have overrated a bit. Always good to meet a little in the middle. In that email, I also stated how season eight was my least favorite season. I described it as a flaming pile of garbage. To be there, You at Lance both said you remembered season eight having a strong front half, but the back half they went off the rails. While following along with you through season eight, I would have said, I

would have to say again. You pointed out Steph, I've forgotten Season eight definitely, Thris off its newcomers test was such a great addition and filled the lex hole about as well as one could have given the expectations in my mind. To quote another show we like community excited for the movie Pop Pope Test was a humble outsider who came in and nailed it to that same effect. Getting Oliver as a main character was a fun addition and to provide tension with

Clark on the whole kill not kill to kill philosophy. So those editions being started in season eight is pretty cool. That being said, the drop off still leave season eight as my least favorite, whether it's the botched return conclusion of Lana, the worst love triangle in this series of Jimmy, Chloe and Davis, the way they absolutely tore down one of the best series characters in Chloe with how they portrayer, and how they absolutely missed the mark with big

Clark doomsday fight in the finale. All that being said, I would be curious, given the refresher of this season now completed, where would you rank this season. I do feel like through your reviews we may again have met somewhere and more in the middle with it being worse than you previously remembered. Excited for season nine as you stayed it's one of your favorites. Last side note, I do have to say this season you might have had the best

episode of your entire series, episode one sixty six. Your review of season eight, episode four, Team Requiem with Lance Rocca and true X. You guys were having so much fun and making me laugh so much. I would highly recommend this forsom again. Honestly, if I had to give an episode recommendation for someone who has never listened to the podcast, this would be the episode I pick, as I don't know how you could listen to it and not want to come back for more. Keep up the great work. Thanks

Zachary B. Well, thanks Zach from one Zach to another. You're spelling your name correctly as well. I respect h Yes, you're saying that if you're going to show someone one episode of Always on this vel, this would be so maybe I should would listen to this, Yes, maybe listen, Like you know what, Maybe this guys aren't so bad. Maybe I don't know. That definitely was a fun one. We'll try to get that. That was a good A good combination there of everybody. Well, we'll try

to get that combination again. But you gonna a lot of us well podcast together by for the top ten episodes goes again, so so we have that stree as well. So no, that was a fun group there for Acory. I'm in a wedding episode to discuss and uh, you know, to to answer your question about I totally agree with about Chloe, like as you heard me really saw on Chloe over the course of season eight. But to answer your question about why rank the seasons now and I don't think you're gonna

like this, sack. He might have seen my social media post when I finished season eight. I thought it'd be kind of, you know, a nice visual thing to to stack my small BOLDVD sets U And this is out there on social media, but I'm gonna read. Well. My rankings are

for Mumble seasons right now. Number one, season three, number two, season nine, number three, Season two, number four, season one, number five, season five, look at that number six, Season ten, number seven, Season eight, number eight, season four, number nine,

seasons so bad, number ten, season six. Now. We had a discussion on our Patreon about season six versus season seven either with fellow patrons and podcasters Chris Fuchs and Darren Kirsht. Shout to them, Shout out to them and we determined, based off deep scientific analysis, that season seven was better. So there you have it. Okay, I respect your opinion about season six, and I hope you were shaking mine. But there's my rankings there.

We'll do some we'll do look, once the episodes are over over, we'll do all kinds of like special like top this and this that, and we'll have a lot of fun discussions. But anybody, anyway, let's move on. Ye. So this is another Spotify comment from always Going to super lowis so the comments are open over there too. On spot by from t Bush twenty five. It's a comment on Guess Who's coming to Dinner that episode? Any that you hear their podcast, we whole discussion about it. Sarah

thought that Marilyn Moreau. No, no, they wouldn't have dared. She was so fixated on the Mary Row we couldn't find it anyway. This is the comment from t Bush. I enjoyed this episode and how aggressive Bruno was. I couldn't remember how to Spello's last name. I really am loving how y'all have pretty much nailed everything this season. Keep it up. I think this is the whole Like, oh yeah, that's the Sun Now I did

dale everything. Yeah, as as a as another comment leader rule oh prove But anyway, appreciate t Bush and you have one more comment on the next episode. Yeah, also from t Bush the episode of the Dress. Loved this episode. They're turning up the drama and the stakes. I think Jonathan is due for a big win before the end of the season, so I'm interested to see how that goes. Thank you did not get that big No, he did not know that was a goodness revenue. I think one person,

this random other person. Anyway, should I watch the show? Yes? Wow, Nick before I finish? Yes, okay, this is one of the ones that's actually been on my list to really really watch as opposed to small level. Yeah, okay, anyway, let's move on. Yep, all right, we got another email from the legend end of season eight plus Super Lowest TV plus Daughter. Hey, Zach and crew, that's me again. Please do your best Kyle impersonation. If this gets red in the

mail mail, do you want me to read this instead? All right, I'll rate it instead. Because you haven't watched man lowis that you just confirmed so all this time? It just falls in place perfectly. We don't anyway, We're gonna change it, so Core, here we go, and this might still you want Nick. Sorry, Hey, Zach and crew, please do your ask calimbration if this gets right in the mail bag. Me huh. One of my favorite voices you do is Kyle so funny. Yes,

I'm still alive. Just run the bus of the work and the more farm who new farms would take up so much time and effort. I blame the cancer for this madness, winky face. I've listened to all your Small Villains Superman Lowe's reviews, and it's all eter tenanting fun to listen to. A few things stood out for me so jealous. I am your guest hosting the Cold from Stiletto Shoot the Ultimate Binge watch all ten seasons of Smaller than two

Days just kidding, it was what two weeks? Still, that's incredible. Also, your epic almost three hour Doomed interview with Anthony d. Listendary. My season eight thoughts a real similar to yours strong beginning with troubled in a rank Season eight as wait for it, eighth best season, Season four still a number one season Still's voice did you give up? It's okay? Land

jumps in with his bain voice, breaking news. My wife and I watched all ten seasons of Smallville without fourteen year old daughter with a lovely voice. I was trying to take your advice, Ach and wait until she was in the nineth grade, but we couldn't wait. It took us about seven months to watch ten seasons. Yes, I bet Nicole Susan's laughing at you now, but how long it took us to absolute episodes. My daughter's favorite character

is Clue. Most people's favorite characters cl ntil season to now. In the present time, she's with me in Black Prison, back Prison, under the Dead Act. Well Lowie. Favorite villain is Lionel Lutheran The Dude's a Beast. Favorite episode is Homecoming, the best episode of the show. Favorite story arcers wouldn't love Line was drugging Licks and had him put in the asylum, the Ukham Asylum. Least favorite character was Alicia. The title poop girls,

let's let's last. It will not be happy about that. No hashtack team Alicia, hashtag team Alicia. And to finish, my daughter did not like when Clark was on Red K. That made her so mad that he's a drug up up on the way more farm chores. Do you like that? Me? Huh, I don't have a voice. Sorry, guys, Well thanks, gry. I can't believe you don't like Alicia Man. Yeah, come on, man, But I'm glad you're enjoying all the reviews. Yes, and uh glad your daughter likes the show. Mm hmm, So Nick,

why don't you read this next short Spotify comment? Yeah, we have another Spotify comment from t Bush and it was one episode for a collision course of um Superman, Superman and Lois, It's gonna say Clark and Lois. I was like, wait, that's an s see. I really haven't watched it, and the comment was loved it. Zach got hosed on the prediction. Yeah, there's a lot of things we're like, oh yeah, what's

gonna happen? Totally ron, which is good. It is nice not always to support your expectations, but if you subverted them wisely in a way that the story organically goes away, that's the way to do it. Absolutely thanks to that. Bush, appreciate that. Keep those comments up on the Spotify for us. That's why I want to highlight him here so people know that they could do it and they could do them before for sure. All Right, got an email here from always Along the Star Wars titled best podcast ever,

Hey, Zach and Crewe best novel podcasts out their hands down. Love the fun you bring to every episode and how you analyze critique them from a place of love. Great to see you shout out your other podcasts occasionally too, like Arrow Legs, Tomorrow Flash MCU. I really enjoy hearing about your Star Wars podcast two occasionally love the show, Keep up the good work. Signed Astros number one fan. So it's no doubt from Chris Fuchs. No,

it's true. You know, I start rolling off the out like the Arrovers shows and stuff, and sometimes Star Wars I'm like, oh, well, you know it's kind of like that. That's gonna you know, it's a smart wards its own thing universe. But but point taken always wanted to Star Wars. But yeah, I'm glad you're an Astros fan now, Chris. Yeah, that's good to hear. I mean, I mean I would be an Astros fan too if my you know, the Astros kept beating my

team. I don't think we're gonna meet these alcs. That's your Chris, and you know why that is because because come on, Chris, you know I had to do it. You know I had to say it, all right. Email next one from Eric Folk titled bring back the Torch and Ledger, Hey small Ville Crew. During the first four seasons of the show, you could go to the small Ville Torch and the small Ville Ledger websites. These were fun, but not something that I kept going back to regularly,

so I definitely missed a lot of their content. I was watching the show with my son a little while ago, and when they showed the Torch website, I had to see if I could still access my way access it via way back machine website. When I saw that it actually worked, I immediately found every article I could. When tracking down articles, I found a pretty comprehensive list of links to them on the Smallville dot fandom dot com site.

So far, I'm only missing about ten total between the Ledger and the Torch due to the link not working. So now that I have found them, I've decided to clean them up and have my own collection. For a wall of weird, my wife agreed to let me make in the garage. That is a fantastic and that is what I would yeah, local team discovers case also a fair amount to them. Didn't have photos that would load, so

I've added ones that I thought were fitting to the articles. I love it if anyone could help add to my list and would be happy to share what I have so far. Dude, any of you remember the sites? What were your thoughts at the time? Did you know you could access Chloe's computer by clicking on the eye of the small bille Crow? Looking forward to more fun content from you guys, Keep it up and have fun. Your friend

Eric Folk, well, thanks Eric. Eric has been sending some of these to me as he goes, and uh doing a great job archiving a lot of this stuff. They would otherwise be lost to the Internet. And I'm gonna start posting some of those maybe in between seasons here, maybe one a day or something, just to give people some some fun content to look at. And do you guys remember the smavel website back then? Did you ever go? I don't think I really actively you want to go? Maybe did

I do hyghen in the library once? I might have tried it in my library. I think at that point we're still paying for internet. Yeah, yeah, so that might have been a factor because it's great, Like I

didn't there's so much smabl merch I never bought. I should have when I was at the eye age and I didn't go to like the you know all this, I mean today you know everything all this time and stuff, right, you know, But but that was like, you know, maybe ahead of the game back then, and I just I remember it existing, yeah, and they would advertise it sometimes like well, so I didn't know Luther core right the less password, but I never did. So I appreciate it

all the hard work of doing Eric to archive this stuff. And ye thanks for sending it to me. We've been messaging about it and I will be posting that to our social media as we move forward. But no, I I did not know you could access Chloe's computer by clicking on the eye either. See those those spring formal photos of her and Clark well things there. That's uh, that is the mailbag proper. No, there is something else I wanted to talk about. Here is at the end and Reddit now I

made a post about this not too long ago. I recently came to my attention that there has been some discussion of this podcast on Reddit. IVERY know that it does come up in the talk fille threads like on red like you big Nick, you're Reddit guy. You Reddit guy. It used to be not too much these days, but now with the Twitter rate limiting, maybe I'll go back to Reddit. So what's the what's the bill with Reddit?

What? Like? What? What? What you see the function of Reddit being it's just more of a place where people can have communities and post things and make comments and reply and have conversations with people. It's like a Twitter big sage board. Yes, it's really interesting that you guys don't really know about it. But yeah, that's well, I mean I know about it. I go to it sometimes, but it's just like I've never liked right, Yeah, it was your right because I said, yeah, it's on

reddits, like what's reddit? Reddit is Reddit? It's for me. I think it was like a choice. It's like I chose to get in, like just have Twitter be my the thing that I use as opposed to it. But you can actually go in depth of threads and things. Yeah, I know I know that, but I was just it's it's like how many of these things do we need? That's what you know? What I mean? Do you guys remember dig dig was also kind of a reddit before I

read it. That does g Yeah, it was same thing post and there was comment you live journal yeah yeah, yeah probably yeah live journal, live journal, my Space and that's that's kind of like how like I chose one over the other. Same thing with like, i't read my Space. I switched to live journal after getting a band because everyone else had before that I was. I was definitely on my Space, well I had well, I also had a zanga, but of course I would have a zagger anyway.

Anyways, read it. So every now then people bringing some stuff to my Hey, you know, so they're talking about a writers something. I do have a readit account for the podcast, and when I first started, I was like posting, hey, Drie the podcast, but it fizzled out because I didn't I'm time, like you said, as how many of these are you gonna do? Keep up with it? You know? Yeah? Around season seven I tried again, and then that it just fizzled out too.

I'm like whatever. So I don't really post or interact pretty much on read but if I come up like in some of these talk field podcasts, like hey, they guy from the other podcasts have been great you should have been back. I'm like, I'd love to be back, so I might pop in on those and they may have some funny commentary about um, you know, Talkville and then maybe the show and those threads and stuff and you guys can't look that up. But there's a couple threads that I wanted to just

mention I've read it. Um so they message by lopsided issue eight one one six made this post in the Superman community and also the small of community, and this is what the post said. I like listening to always on the Small Boo podcast zac more, but when he keeps mentioning Coy being low as Slam when the roleis is on the show. Every time I hear that, I almost say to myself, dude, let that go. It's not going to happen every time you breaze that up. So I made this post about

it on my social media. I'm like, we'll be talking about these Cubans in the next mill back. And then Romello de Blogonne, who was a frequent listener and commenter, responded and said, hizach, it was me. It was me, very man. I wish I wish that scene was there. Does anyone say it was me. Very No one ever says talk about Mandela effects. That's some jake from State Farm, but that man, I really wish that line was Let's wait a second. Let's wait here for a

second. I like what your point out like, there's the villain of the flash is uh, reverse flash? That's the dark Flash you're talking about the flash movie Flash movie. Yes, it was dark Flash, Dark Flash. Did you feel like that was well executed and thought out villain? No? Because it really confused whatever. And you know about reverse Flash out because of the show and the comics. Okay, and it's one of the best villains in comics, I think, right, I mean, and you threw that

away for that nonsense? True, very true. It's the worst. And I was really hoping it was going to be a reverse slash. Well, in a way, it was. That's the version. That's that's terrible. It was me, Romelo goes on. I heard you bring up Chloe being Lois Lane while the real Lowis Lane is on the show. And when I say let it go, I don't say it in a mean way. I say it in a friendly way. I say it to my friends when sometimes we disagree on things. I still listen to your podcast with all the different

guests, and I think you do a good job with the work. When I started to post on small to Reddit, i posted discussed about episodes, character scenes, interviews, and what if fant's and my idea of what I would have done with the series. I've also post and ask people do they listen to Always on the small Ville. Let them know it's a good podcast and they should try to listen. Zach, keep up the good work. And I can't wait for small season nine. Intend on the podcast. There

you go. So I wanted to mention that response from Romelo, so we know where this came from. Yes, good intentions, right, but like anything, you put it on the internet and things start to happenings. And these are some of the most amazing comments I've ever heard, especially for people who have no knowledge, yes of this show. Now, I'll just read all these and you guys just react as you as you want. So I'm not gonna say names or anything coming after other people. That's not what we're

all about here. But but I just reading through some of these incredible stuff. Yeah, here's a comment. Listen to Michael Rosenbaum and Tom Willings podcast instead. Wow. Okay, okay, a very good I'm not on that. Another comment, back when the show air, they almost did make her Lowas she was using her cousin's name as a pseudanim for The Daily Planet. But then the next season they hired Erica exactly. That was kind of my

play. And as someone who's watching in real time, Yes, for the first three years, remember when when you're watching in real time, that's all there is. Yes, there's only those three seasons. Yes, and there's no Lowis out there. That's correct, And they were like basically making her Lois Lamp. That's all of that came from another comment. I mean, he isn't wrong. You're acting like they had workshop this thing past the first

season. Erica Durrance's Lois Lane was a later edition. Yeah, she was absolutely billing in the role, but she wasn't planning in the earlier seasons. In addition, if you watched it as it, Eric Chloe was absolutely a Los Lane standard boom. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, in fairness, it's accurate Chloe, at least in concept. It's pretty paper thin Lois Lane knockoff, who was created to fill the exact same role and be a surrogate

for her character. In fact, one of my biggest criticisms of Smallville, and only watched the first two or three seasons when they were still pretty firmly married to the freak of the week concept. It's my understanding that it evolved past this is the lack of creativity in creating the Chloe character. Rather than finding a unique way to explore the characters at a different point in their lives, the writers were just like, nah, we need a Lois Lane shape

crush to lean on. I feel the same way about the CWS Flash in the post Cisco era, rather than having the stories evolved past the point of the weekly bad guy being feeded through the gadget guy coocking you up some du six marketa device and explaining it through pseudotech babble, I just created the most near two dimensional stand in characters to do that. Shout out to Chuck Chuck. Is you know Chuck from the Flash? Chester Chester Chester p ronk Yeah,

yeah, like poor Man Cisco. Yeah. I wouldn't compare Chloe to Lois as Chester to Cisco, but point take it. I mean, that's a thank you for laying all out like that's all fun out I understand what you're saying. You're like, will we heed this lowest character? So we'll just make this character Like, yeah, you have like you could have just not Hades Lane character, right, And that's what I mean, Like,

well, if they make it Lowes lamb, it'll make y right. And again, you guys know, the whole point of this is because I've been a big vocal pushing about this whole theory and that's where this three I come from. So you heard me talking about it. Here's another comment. Listen to talk deal with Tom and Michael instead. Very good. Another comment, Honestly, I always thought that fan theory of Chloe being Lowes Lane was kind of stupid, and I don't rather we got the real Lowest Lane in the

show. Someone applies to this really wasn't a fan theory though she worked at The Daily Planet. And again, um, I gotta say, like, it's a fun thing to talk about. Yes, I was deep on the crypton site forums hashtag rypton site till this right. We had some fun back and forth about it back in the day, and I just I thought that was a fun experiment to discuss. And yeah, I mean to me,

that was always one of my things about Small Woman. We've talked about it and then again we've talked about over the years on the show and had all the good time with it. That's really what it is. Yeah, now we're getting to some good stuff. Now we're getting some good stuff. This This is probably my favorite comment we've ever received in any medium on this podcast. Zach and his friends have a lot of bad takes, and they take

to be self evident because they largely agree on that stuff. They've softened as they've had guests come on who don't show their views. But I'm still really grateful for him in his game. They put out a lot of great content purely out of love for the material, and it's really fun to listen to. I don't know about you. They gave me some whiplash there, yes, yeah, like head like it's like a cornerback, just like just head snapping all the way back and forth. There? Which one is it?

Man? Are we in an echo chamber? Nick? Do we only agree with ourselves and have bad takes? Huh? Let me see, you guys want the truth? Yes? Oh wait, are we saying that I'm also the part of the bad takes? Or like, well, you're never really part of the podcast as much anymore. So yeah, you're so okay, Okay, No, I think you guys have valid whatever. I listen to it, I agree, And when I do have any type of opinion, you guys definitely listen. I don't know if you guys get softer, you

guys still back up your own responses. Yeah, and I'm not saying my opinions of the absolute truth either, So I mean self evidence is a little yeah, a little bit, because the only time I've ever heard the phrase self evident, I heard that in one context. Everybody and I hold these truths to be self evident. So well, the spide Us having her bad takes, I appreciate this person still listening to the show. Yeah, yeah,

next one. Personally, I'm on the back end of season two, and the way he goes on about how Clark should have simpricated Chloe as I love and just does my head in it's obvious he's a big Chloe fan, but some of his criticism of Lana Clark or Lois and Clark are purely based on the fact that they aren't Chloe. And it's a bit annoying because he goes on about it every episode. I mean, yeah, do I I

just felt the Clark and lat relationship was very undeveloped. I'm probably thought out, and the Clark and Loweis relationship was stretched out and annoying because we don't like each other for eight years, I don't running right, And that's what That's what I comment on. Yeah, always hold on to Chloe. I always wanted. That was probably one of my favorite as well. Anyway,

another one here that was a popular fan three for a while. And as much as I love Eric, I have to admit there was a small part of me that hoped in that universe Clark would from you wind up with Chloe instead. I think it was season seven I finally stopped hoping for that because Chloe and Jimmy was just so damn good. Now. I was with you there until that last sentence. Yeah. Um Now, can you imagine if Smallville did pulled an arrow before arrow it actually did because Oliver got with Chloe.

Um, and that would have been something that I see the thing what the ideal again? Let me let me let me define this for people. The the quote unquote ideal cloestl o I s theory, but I mean, there wasn't other Lowest Lane, like you know what I'm saying, Like it would have been like, oh yeah, maybe she took this name from somebody

like her cousin was a pseudonym and that was it. There wasn't like another Lowest there for years who died and she replaced her or something would have been like, oh, yeah, well she's a nag because all the letters were in her own name, and yeah, she was there at the beginning with the other three main characters, Clark, Lex and Lana, they were like the core four. That's how that would work, you know. So it's not like Lois showed up, but there's no one Chloe with mo like I

mean, they had and they screwed it. They was intentional. They screwed with us for years. They did, especially in a season six where Lois dies, Yes, Lois dies and Chloe's aren't Choie has the resurrector with a tear and for about fifteen seconds to me and keb Herds on the podcasts, like they did it they combined them into one character because there's this big flash I know you haven't seen this day Lois gets stabbed to death and Chloe has

a healing power, right yea. Then Chloe cries a tear of healing power onto her and there's a big white flash of light and then when he comes back, you just see Chloe. You don't see Los like ten seconds show they did it. They combined them in the character that would have been bad. I would not have anyway goes. This is the last comment on the Superman ride thread. There's a Smubble podcast that isn't top Ville. Wow. So anyway, now here, here's a Smuble ride thread. Here should be

comments here. I listened to two small but rewatch podcast that aren't talk Field occasionally and both hosts are really into Chloe. I'm a straight woman, so I'm not an expert, but to me, Chris and Eric has seemed way hotter also not crazy, which is a plus. I mean, that's not what we're talking about here all, but sure, thank you for your opinion. Clark shipping and Chloe being Lewis is one of these things I will never

understand. I guess, fair enough, fair enough. Another comment PTSD from the Chloes theory currently reappairing a truly dark time and small of fandom history. Lois was going to die in Chloe for some reason take her name to honor her turning out to be the lowest we knew in canon. Then again, the show did Henry James Lowson, So who knows how close you were to that particularly theory panning out exactly? Yep, the Show of Us does that.

You don't know about the theory to do you? You know about Henry James Olsen? Okay, that that even made it to you? Yeah, that's see, that's a good point. They would never do something that absurd, and that's I did that worst segregious version of that. Another comment, Man, I'm sorry with that is one of the dumbest fan theories I've ever heard. Think, God, they didn't do it. Here's another good one. Is he aware that the show ended? Yes? Yes, two thousand

and one, two thousand and eleven. Letty B and c W I know that? Yeah? What did that guy think? Did he think? Obviously? Maybe they will still make her? I don't know this name on this one is hilarious. I have the names of Ross, but we're not We're not here, we go. I bet they are seeking This is another This is another one of my favorite ones. Embarrassing behavior to be honest. The older I get, the more I dislike Chloe. She was the female version

of nice guy. One thing it annoyed me was that her f ups aren't really talking about. Also, the one day she woke up and decided that she was a better hero than Clark. Factor stands full of the producers and the thinking of her family was huge your character. She would have died in season three. That was a very anti Chloe comment there. Yeah, we're not talking about their names. It's a reason I'm not reading these names. Okay, but you can. You can all go to the Smallville and Superman

read at their heads and read these Okay. Next comment, I mean she was kind of a lowest standing for the first few seasons, then the actually low showed up and she had to become her own cachreacraft towards exactly Yeah, exactly, exactly. Yeah. Another one. I'm watching through the show for the first time right now, about halfway through season six. And yeah, during the first couple of seasons, I was honestly expecting hope for some sort

of twist like that. I just thought Clark and her had the best chemistry and still do, honestly, and I'm a sucker for girls get the guy she dreams of troupe. Plus, she was undeniably feeling the lowest Lane roll early on, so I could expecting something goofy like Lois being revealed as her pen name, or she learns her mom's name and her mom's name was Lane, and we learned Lois is her middle name. Probably for the best.

They didn't do that for obvious reasons, but I understand why someone would think that, is my point. I agree, And I remember me and Craig Grimmer talking about this because him and I talked about a little small stuff all the time. As you can imagine, he was like, you know, if Chloe was Lowis Lane, the Lewis Lane would not have been in Chryston in for hers good point? Yeah, but I oh, I asked, wouldn't have made that the good defense? Probably not small? You made it

funny? Yes, Okay, you've seen the smallbl scene there? Yeah, did you like it? It was? I feel like I've actually this before the podcast, But you know, guys were film something so so long ago. I don't want to remember so Nick. No, for me, I think it was good because it kind of gave closure. But I know we all still wanted to see him sit up, but it's I guess that was just saying, hey, move on, that's what it is, but I

still kind of hope it. Yeah, I guess my point was Lois was such a I mean, I wanted to see him together obviously, right, but it was so like nothing to it, and for her to make a stupid, like weird line like that made a funny. She just watched Turtles too, I made another funny and Jack anyway, next comment, I mean, the only thing I could think of is the writers maybe possibly said it up, but the show didn't last up to season four that Chloe would be

revealed to have been Lois since she's three. She used her cousin's name when she got fired off the Delete Planet and gave them her last articles to use. But in season four first episode of commentary, they did say they did they always planned Lois being her own character, separate from the others, but unless Michael and Tom can get Alan Miles on tok Field for an actual full episode and asked them, would probably don't know. Yeah, next comment,

Chloe always seemed like a shoe in for Lois without actually being her. In my mind when Lois showed up and got into journalism. She became less and less important and turned into a weird hacker character. I think she should have been left in small but with a proper syndofs. Same with Lana. That's a good point. Yeah, yeah, they're like, didn't know what it's like? Oh crap, we have Lois? Now what do we do with Chloe? Who is Lois foundation? And watched how I watched Hower at least

kind of made sense. Yeah, but just because you're a reporter, because I've been around a lot of reporters, that doesn't mean like a computer whiz. Yeah yeah, so those skill sets don't go hand in hand. Yeah, well he can write, can you hack this computer for it? Not necessarily? I agree though, having her kind of have her own destiny and path with a proper resolution instead of like whatever, because they clearly ran out of things to do with her. Yeah, and they just kept like here

you newsday in the small Ball universe. I don't get how Chloe is winning awards for her riding in high school basically working at the plant is a freshman and then it just fired and never pursues it again. It make more sense if Chloe was a boss and hired Clark and Lewis rather than the mess that happened. That is a brilliant common She should have been like the editor that

far, but like a manager there. Let me, hey, this is my cousin and my friend Clark kid Actually hot take Off says maybe before I come to the conclusion they should not have been cousins. Yeah, watching Superman Lewis, where Christie Beeppett was clearly supposed to be Chloe, solving that the change name because of real worlds so much better. We're not related. You could just have two women being friends and then she can go hook up a car. All right, Okay, I'll watch it so I can understand the

reference. What do you want to h you led me, look at me. I don't I made big mistake. Oh man, we got two last comments. One's a little button you know what kind of to leave us on a good note. Yeah, The one is probably you know we mentioned another one. This might be my favorite. This is my favorite's good and I think it's about unique. Specifically, I couldn't listen to that podcast too much

memory talk of their lives. The one I try to listen to is thirty minutes of them trying to figure out if they watched the episode together the same rumor severally that definitely wasn't my episode. I watched the next day on VHS, so I know we do that occasionally. And she's like, do we watch this together? And you say I think so, and I say, okay, cool. Let's sprinklin some mattitudes about it as we talked about it, because I'm giving an opinion about an episode in my experience. Yeah,

sorry, what an incredible? Is so good? Too much memory talk? You know? What are we doing here? That's actually why I'm on the show. I like the memory talk parts. Guys. We could just be reading a piece of paper someone, but together if you prefer. But anyway, I love it so good. H It's like Lionel Luther says in Exodus of I either hatred, it makes me stronger. Kevin Durant recently just said that they asked him about like why he like gets on Twitter it like goes

at his haters, and he's just like, love makes you weak. Well, he must be having a lot of love in recent years. Final comment based Zach, Sorry, lewis there it is? You guys didn't see it? But Zach Rose rose up his hand like he was getting a high five. Yeah from comment, I feel based. That's why this is why you've been saying based lately. That Yep, that is s So there you go. That's a unique thing here that I feel that was in perfect place to

read that stuff off a little off format and when we usually do. But it was a big pay I reread it and whenever you're reading somebody else's comments about you, but these were from like a couple of months ago. Yeah, I didn't really engage with any of these, so I just kind of observed and just you know, I get Kevin, I get it down just

scrolling through seeing people are saying like it's it's it's a unique experience. So anyway, I hope you guys all know that I like how everything turned out on as I've said for years, and like once they let Lois be Lois,

Lois was great. Ye, it was great in season eight. The problem was that just that they didn't know what to do with these two characters and where they where they had They had given the lowest lane journey to Chloe, and they just shouldn't have done that, or they should have gone all in like the in between, all this gray area, the reason up literally up until like season nine, you could have been like, well still be long. Yeah yeah, full reboot, so what you need? Ye?

Anyway, Nick, thanks for being with us again. Onto the mailback man, Yeah, I'm always holding onto the mailback Yeah. You should always hold them a small more often though. Yeah, well we're getting there anyway. You should jump on Legends Tomorrow. How much of Legends Tomorrow have you watched? I've actually watched probably three or four seasons of it. I thought you could say three four episodes. Oh no, no, it was it was

a season thing for me. I just I've always liked the whole team up with everything, Like Forever Evil is one of my favorite I love Forever Forever Evils my favor I read it in an issue farm Back of the Day. Oh yeah, wow, that was actually a word one. Yeah, second trade I ever owned what I got into comics, So that was that was a great time in the New fifty two. It was yeah, any last

word off. No, it's always glad. I'm always glad to be here, like always, always, always, always holding on to the memories, talking about things that we've done and just catching up. Yeah, and that's what it's all about. It again, like wrapping back around in those first couple of messages we got in the mailbag, like I'm really glad we can

provide the people because that's one hundredsent viberre going for. You're hanging out with the friends, or you're with a group of people and you're you're you're probably a conversation talk about something you love and passionate about, and like real conversations, you go off on your tangent some time, and that's where that's something fun. That's that's some of the most fun stuff is when you go off your lant. It goes here because because that's what you bring yourself, because

anybody can sit here and talk about like episodes and things like that. And I'm not saying my opinion is better or worse anybody else's. I'm just saying, like, that's the unique take we have on the show, and I really appreciate and enjoy the different perspectives everybody brings us. That's what's Weald think. I'm having the rotating guests, yes, part of its schools lance,

and I just couldn't schedule to do one hundred two hundred episodes together. Well, we've made so many friends along the way, sure like you, Nick? Yeah, yes, they said I was a friend. Guys, it's joke, but you just missed that. Yeah. But anyway, Lance, and people want to find you out their online where can they find you? Oh, if my if I haven't reached my limit, your rate limit, my rate limit, you can find me on Twitter at sir lance Laster.

but it's at Nick Ryan on Twitter. And then if you just want to see my travels in any other takes or anything like that on my Instagram at Nick Ryan dot jpg. All right, well, hopefully our rate limits will not be exceeded any further. This is the day, By the way, this is the day that happens. Yeah, yeah, maybe we'll be listening back to this in the fusional Yep, that was the day. There

we have it. But yeah, it's been a lot of fun. Always great getting together and doing these and when we make a whole kind of half day out of it usually and it's a lot of fun. Yeah, And we'll be back next time, maybe between first and second half from the season nine, maybe after season nine's over. We'll see, we'll see. We're gonna keep we're gonna make sure that these are not as not in sync as

possible with the season. So we're on round eleven right now. Hey, one part everybody, Yeah, yeah, impressive, Look at that most impressive. You know what that means. You all need to start sitting this more emails, so you have to write these into two parts. Yeah, Spotify is open, guys, that's right. All right, Well, that's gonna do it for us this time. We'll be back next time with another Superman special, this time on the Flash, because there are four Superman in the

Flash, King Animal, Nick No, Kenny Nimball mants. Yeah, you don't need the Nymball, I believe Elians. Yeah, if you would have told me in high school. They're talking about the high school in shab Bring your background, you're They're gonna be a movie and it's gonna have Christ Reeves, George Reeves, that guy from the Two Doors, and they're talking about casting a Superman and Nicolas Cage is all Superman and be like, wow, well that that would be really hard to pull off. But I'm sure they

wouldn't do it unless they could. But just like Ian Malcolm said, there's so piogropipe the fact that they could. They didn't stop the thing to hide. You know what, the worst party They couldn't even could. Yeah, that's the thing there. The could wasn't there? Either the should or the could well impact that stuff. Next time, I'll be with Anthony de Seattle from digning Script Knights, fun conversation about the flash YEP. You'll enjoy that,

but until then, Always hold on to Smallville.
