Hi. My name is Tom Welling. I played Clark Ken on Smallville and you are listening to Always Hold on to Smallville welten Always on a small Ville. On this podcast, we talked about each and every episode of the Young Superman Show. They ran from two thousand and one to two thousand and eleven on the w B and the c W. I'm your host, Sack Moore, joined by Lance Last and we're back for Mailbag number ten, Part two. Everything. Yes, Letter Media, I told you we werena brought us

the gold Man. You're gonna be those guys one day. Yes, we were back with part two. We're back in our ten. At the beginning of the last episode. It's funny because they'll see they'll see it's called part one. Yeah, and they'll hear me say, well, this is just gonna be one, Yeah, this is gonna two fin Like what an idiot maybe we have. Look, we had a lot of great emails and a

lot of great reviews and really appreciate everybody who's sending stuff in. And if you want to hear your emails and reviews next time on Mailbag number eleven, Part one, we're just gonna call it now. It's gonna be multiple parts. Go ahead and send those in for next time. But let's reopen the mailbag Lance and get into it. What do we have next? Let's see? All right, So moving on, we have another five star app podcast review from my man Travis t J kill Lady one. You will love this

podcast. While the DC Universe is changing, this podcast keeps getting better. You're a small bill fandom probably brought you here. The DC Universe talk will keep you going along with its many conversations with fellow podcasts and friends. Give it a listen. You won't regret it. So that's kind of another validation of what we're doing. Look, this is the place for that. We're

doing a mill back here. You know, if someone was waiting to hear us talk about I don't know, plastique or something and I didn't talk about it, I could understand why people will be upset. But oh, thanks t J. I appreciate that you've been a long time interactor on Twitter. It was an interactor, was an engager on Twitter. Yeah you know what I mean. Yeah, he gets it, he gets he knows what's up. So now I appreciate that, TJ. And yeah, then that's why

we do these specials and you know, DC Universe stuff and whatnot. Sometimes sometimes on a Patreon sometimes not right July just depends. So next tip, we have another five star Apple Podcasts or view from Cal Manhattan. This is for Always Want to Superman and lois titled Superman is Awesome, Superman is Awesome. Everything is cool when you're part of the team. If you love Superman, if you love Superman and you love love, then this is the show

for you. I love the insight from a fan and a non fan and how they see the show from those perspectives makes for an interesting listen. Thanks Cal Cal with a CE not to be confused with Cal Red Kryptonite Cal, and I know who Cal Manhattan is, but I'm not gonna reveal their identity just in case I revealed Anthony to Seattle as I didn't. Sorry, but I'm gonna I'm gonna rectify that by not revealing calman It's gonna make it all

better, right, I don't know. Maybe maybe some people don't want to be identified on on Apple podcasts, so maybe maybe some people want to be spoiled on the series. Always again, we have these people I'm watching along for the first time in the poet. Oh sorry, so funny, all right. Next we have an email from Corey Moore. This one is titled committed plus pray Zach. I'm committed to not losing by a few points and they always hold on to small football league playoffs like I did in the baseball

league. To Zach my number one nemesis. We both share the same last name and have brown hair. So who is lex and who is Clark? The committed episode reminds me of about twenty five years ago when my wife and I got married. No, just kidding, but the counselor we had was pretty tough. I highly recommend some type of marriage counsel lague beforehand. Twenty five years later, and I still love her Like my wife, I'm just lucky she tolerates me and laughs at my jokes still, unless she'd be laughing

on that show. I know, I know, man, dude's walking on something. I clearly his wife's list in this podcast. That is, he's listening to this show in the car with his daughters before. Yes, he has emailed that yeah the shout out to her. So they continues. Committed grades at a B minus for me, My favorite scene was when Lewis and Clark are strapped to the chairs and being questioned by the Madman and Lois lies or was she telling the truth about her feelings for Clark winky face, Yes

she was, Yes, exactly. That's why that episode is so highly regarded. He has an asterix here. Kevin is my next prey and they always hold on the small phone football playoffs currently on this Sunday evening. It's not looking good for the CC Speedsters. I'm eight points behind and I have Saquon Barkley and the Green Bay Defense against his Graham Gano Kicker. The more Farm

Mustangs are going to stampede through the playoffs like a stallion on peds. The prey episode was pretty cool, and Neil Bailey agrees with us all that hell freeze over. My favorite scene was when the young boy it was up against the fence and closes his eyes punching the air and then the two bullies end up on their backs because of Clark. Very funny and so much like a Superman comic book. Loved it. Pray grades at a B plus for me Up Up and Away, More Ups deliveries, ps. I'm so worn out

from all the boxes to delivery. This must have been a Christmas time email. And speaking of Christmas, Simond Cory, as you guys saw on our social media, see he sent me and served very nice care package for Christmas. Lavender and then a managed steel Man magazine, sum Mad magazine, Lavender rose hips and a hint of Tehijian Manila. What's that from Frasier? Oh

that's odd, man. I could have guessed that it was the episode where like that they had that morning show duo before his show, Carlos and the Chicken. They were pranking him. That sounds familiar. Yeah, so funny, And so they called him saying that, like is his bathroom was leaking and they wanted to know what was in his tub and he said that what was in his tub his bathway was lavender ross and Frasier's so funny. I love that show. Well, No, I agree with with Corey about that

great scene. I think you know we were on parade together with us and Jason Skipper Lance and I was like that sequence there, that's like one of the best sequences of the entire show. Just do Superman things. I mean's a lot you want to see Superman go to Superman things a night saving people things like that's good stuff. But yeah, those are a couple of great episodes that first half of season eight. So thanks for your notes there, Corey. Next up, we have a face of metches from Peter roxen Hall.

Peter Oxen Hall comments on a lot of our Facebook post and he had a comment about Jimmy's friend Colin, and he says, in regard to Jimmy's friend Colin, I'm pretty sure that's him alive, and well, he wasn't killed by a doomsday at thirty five forty three the time code to give me talking on the payphones, so he didn't die, but they could have made that clearer position him in a more visible spot. Well, Lance, I have called up that time code. Yeah, his attact time code quin Hulu,

thirty five forty three. On this episode thirty five forty three, we have Jimmy and Chloe in the barn about to get attacked by doomsday, so that time code is incorrect. But what I did five at thirty seven eighteen is the scene in the hospital lobby that I believe you're referring to, Peter, and there's a guy in the background on the pay phone. But I don't think that's Colin. I think Colin is dead. I think he was in four episodes and was not in anymore, and Doomsday grabbed a camera and

I think killed him. So we watched Bright together. What was your takeaway of Colin's fate. I think he's dead and you know, and I guess. Just to keep the piece here, I'll quote Avatar and The Last Airbender and say, you know it was really unclear. Well, I'll take a screenshot of this and post it. I'll let the viewers decide. Little people, shrub, why why should I believe you? Who are you? Where did you get that nice eight fights in glossy of Aaronic car? I got

it to him. The team stole the Pittsburg steel Gotham Rogues, Pitts Bun Steelers. Did you see Coach Kower Coach Cower when this is wool Coach Cower was like two thousand and three man, he's in the movie though, Well, Coach Kawer is in the Dark Knight Rises, Isn't it? No? That would have been that would have been a someone I know who Mike Tomlin is. I know it's like it's Mike Tomlin in the outside of Kevin Simon ever tripped a player. It's true. That's a bush leak move. That's

true. Oh man, I I want to go check. I obviously don't high Ward is in that Our Knight rises. I don't know what other Steelers are in there. Rathlisberger is briefly, but yeah, like the most the most unrealistic thing about the Dark Knight. H let's see the fact that hinds Warden returned to kick off for a hundred yards anyway. So so, Peter, that's the research we found. I'll share it on the social geta obviously,

hopefully you'll you'll hear this podcast. In my response to it, I know when you when we did our right episode, you made a comment about like, hey, I gave you the time, coulde I was like, we're gonna address in our mail bag, and here we are as promised, and uh yeah, I think I think Colin's dead. All right, So now we have a five star Apple podcast review from Heels twenty four. Really fun re rotch podcast. Love all the different guests with their opinions and observations.

The tally board at the end of each episode is a lot of fun to keep up with. Two one of my favorite podcasts. Well, thanks Heels. It's a lot of fun to keep up with, maybe maybe more for you than for me. There's so many like I'll get to this at the end because because DJ to Win Up has has took it upon himself to if Corey mooreed me like that, the aggil crag right, TDJ Juanna has made the superaggil crack yea of the tally board, and we'll talking about it

a little bit at the end. For those who are wondering what those things are, it's from a little thing called Guts. Guts is the Nickelodeon, like Games and Sports Network still exists. I don't know, Oh it needs

to. I almost signed back up a paramount plus if I could watch some Guts, some ledgers of the Hidden Simple Indeed, that's you know, that's not just a gag an Sarah and I we're talking about someone else, like like we literally watched old episodes online somewhere of Legend, started dating and our first couple holiday costume was Leedgess of the Hidden Temple. Sure, I have not seen the new the new one yet, though I haven't either, I

know it's it's just it's gonna be disappointing. Yeah, but I would totally apply though we should. That's like a drink to go into the shrine of the Silver Monkey. It's like where do you want to? Like, where do you want to if you go anywhere in the world, where would you go? It's like the sick or the pitch of despair? Man, remembering all these rooms. Our life is already like a TV show like that would be that would take the cake if that ever happened. I'm just saying,

hey, I don't know, I gotta'll get into it. That would be a dream come true. It would be literally because I believe I've had dreams in my youth. That was on the show. All right, So we have a their five star Apple podcast review by Jordan wigand titled A Great Trip down Memory Lane. I started watching Small Vel back when it was airing repeats on ABC Family. A lot of people found the show there, then started

to watch seasons five or six live as it aired as well. After falling off for a bit, I caught up by buying the DVDs after the finale and binging in two weeks. Then in January twenty twenty one, when the world still enshambles. I needed the bright light of Superman and Clark. It can't back in my life and started rewatching this time with my wife. She started to really dig it and we would watch it all through twenty and twenty one. During that time, I found this wonderful podcast to listen to as

I binged the episodes. Zak and his guests are great and fun to listen too, full of ana ghosts when they watched the show originally. Yeah, it's us sure v details from the season, guide books, and just a wealth of Superman information. Thanks for helping make our world a little brighter with this fun podcast. Well thanks, Joran. That's a that's a really nice review. Yeah, that is very nice, appreciate it. I love how

people have discovered or rediscovered the show. And obviously the accessibility of Hulu cannot be interestimated because like if you if you've never really watched it or watched some of it and fell off, like a gonna go buy blue rays of this show? I don't know, but if it's available on a streaming service, it's like, oh yah, I'll check it out right. Yeah, it's

abay similar media these days, so that's true. No, that's I'm glad you and your wife and Georgia Jordan and uh thanks thanks for their view and keep interacting on on Twitter because because and I recognize you from from Twitter as well. All right, next, we have another five star Apple podcast review, this one from Tricks two hundred Ultimate Smallville fan podcast. Love this podcast. I've been a fan of smallvill since it aired on TV and while I'm

rewatching Smallville again, I discovered this podcast through Talkville. This is the ultimate Smallville podcast. Zach's knowledge about the show and the details really make you appreciate each episode. The guests who joined the podcasts are great currently on season three and enjoy going to this podcast after rewatching each episode the ultimate Smallville point. Now, that is why I can't say that it's just sometimes I just think

it's funny that that they said at the beginning of their episodes. But no, I appreciate that, Tricks, that's a real nice review. And you know, season three, so you got you got a long way to go for your catch up, which is probably the right way. I know how it can be sometimes when you find something that there's a huge backhalog and it's so exciting. I'm like, oh man, I can listen this for weeks and it's great and then run out of oh my god, I have to

wait. Yeah, obviously have a lot of fun digg into the new show, the show, and sometimes those come off as rants, but yeah, I mean, and that's why these episodes were like two hours long. Sometimes we're just like going, zee might seeing blow by blow me. I don't know. Maybe it's a crazy thing to do, but but it brings me joy. So I'm glad. I'm glad it can bring joy. I'm glad this bringing me joy can bring joy to others. What are you saying that?

I agree? All right? We have another five star review on Apple Podcasts from Andy Crue zero zero one five stars found this podcast from Talkville with micro Rosa Mom and Tom Welling very thorough and in depth rewatch of each episode of Smallville a must listen and all around good time. Keep up the good word, guys. Well thanks Andy again, Like I was saying, like these hour and a half two hour long episodes, that's why that's why I

did. I'm glad I did get seeing Vanny when I was talking to them, like yeah, sometimes we talked probably for twice as long as the episode. It's funny. But thank you for that. Thank you that review. Andy. Yeah, we got another five star Apple podcast review from Billy Polian. Now when I see the name Bill Polly, I'm like the guy that used to be the GM for the Colts back in the day. But I don't think eighty year old Bill Polian is listening to a small of a podcast.

Now. He could be, but that'd be really cool. Billy Pollyan has actually been on the podcast a couple of times back in the day. He's a guest. All right, Well he's not eighty years old then, not to my knowledge. Okay, well, I've shout out to you, Billy. The ultimate small vill recap. Zach and the crew are so delightful. They can shower knowledge about this show like a meteor. One. Definitely listen and subscribe if you haven't already. Well, thanks, Billy, appreciate

that. Yeah, Billy is back on season two and three, an episode each of those, and appreciate the review. Man. And that's good. Good. Uh shower knowledge like a meteor. I like that very much. All Right, we got another five star Apple piecasts for view from Varon Varon h Varon Hans I'm sure just gave away his identity, but you could probably connect those dots. Best Superman podcast ever, one of the best, one

of the best. You just said it was the best, and I Sally it was one of the best for I see how it is one of the best Superman s mobile podcasts ever that I've listened to. The podcast is great and I always love how they explain the episode in details. I'm liking this the string of like. I like the indepthness of it all. Sometimes I'm like, why am I talking with dude? Two people want to hear this? Like, we get very minutia. It's like you guys on a row,

you're geting get You don't do the episode of the episode thing. But even when you do cover episodes, you do more of a flyover than I do. We have we have a different take. That's right. First take Stephen A. Smith Prometheus. That's right, it's all connected, is all connected? Roon goes on, Zach Moore is great, and I also love his guests, especially Lance last Or, who is my favorite. I highly recommend this podcast our Superman Small of the fans, Well, thanks for rude.

Rude has been in common for a long time. Ye appreciate all his interactions and he's been a big fan of Obviously be A Land's name dropped in the review. Oh very cool. I think you've probably been name dropped more than anyone. Lance. I assume probably, and as you should. I mean I was here for at the beginning. Yeah, we'll see if you here to the end. What I'll do best? Our friendship is the stuff

alleged fine indeed? All right, So we have another five star Apple Podcast review four Always hold on to Superman and Lois from DJ Dutta great analyzes coming off of Always Hold On to Small Bill, Zach and his wife have a great discussion about the most recent entry into the Superman mythology on TV. It's a great listen for all fans of the original comic book Superhero. Thanks DJ. Like I said, probably back for season three, look looking forward to

it. And then people are gonna get said, like, why did you stop talking about small Like what showed you that? Should I stop the small Ville to do the super Malos? Should I try to do both at the same time? What are your thoughts? Keep doing what you're doing doesn't doesn't help. I ask for some advice it's terrible. It's keep it up.

Ye, you're doing great. It's like, as we discussed and I think a couple of years ago, like we're man of many talents, right, yes, And I'm off on a photographer at events and things and people are like, hey, man, you're a great job. Keep it up. I'm like, you don't know what I'm doing. These might look awful, idea, just because I'm running around and looking focused and intense and working hard and sweating. You're like, oh man, like guy was doing great work.

That's half of it. Apparently, it's so funny. It's like, Okay, man gets a great job tonight. You don't know, Yeah, oh man, I don't know. It does slow down and extend the small Ville podcast when I take these breaks, especially to cover other things. But it's like, I don't know, Like it's kind of a it's when it's over, it's over. I know, it's true. Until we get too

small the animated series, Let's do it. That's my next goal. My next goal is to become a voice cameo on Small Bowl of the animated series. That is that is the ultimate vindication. You gotta keep up in the ante that point, right, true. Yeah, that's how it works. It's like you win the ALCS and you gotta win the World Series. This is it doesn't matter anymore. Like we're the Astros right six in a row.

We're desensitized, like, yeah, let me know, we're in the World Series now at that point, like we're not doing land a praise of the nineties, not even showing up a games until the World Series. But it's like, yeah, it's it's an understood expected thing now that we're always going to make the ALCS. So thanks DJ for that review on on Always on a Superman lowis all right? I have another five star view on an Apple podcast from in K one one eight two titled Always Remember. This is

a great recap and a good companion to the classic show. Happy to have found it recently and have a lot of episodes to listen to. Well enjoy your journey in K. Thank you for the review. Always Remember that sounds like whiskey and plot or whatever. Um gunpowder there it is anyway, I always remember. That's funny rising like when Rosalham was trying to remember always on the small play always always remember the show he was trying to remember. It

isn't in the montage of Bryce the producer. They're actually added to all the video stuff. So I've actually started watching the video versions of this because originally I was like, oh, it's a podcast, let's listen to it. But it does add some cool components and like kind of had a montage of him like slowly figuring out what the sign off was. It was pretty funny.

I thought anyway, that it was fun to see him like finally like remembering and figuring out what what always on the small But like that the phrase as we discussed, I'm never gonna tell all right. We have another five star Apple podcast review from b S eight eight one seven says great insight an honest review. Love listening to the insight of my favorite show, Smallville. Also check out the host on an episode of talk Ville Pop Pop Pop Pop,

I'm doing that magnitude thing. Thanks BS eight eight one seven. Where do you guys go with these names, letters and numbers? Anyway? No, no, thank you. I uh, I don't know if you found me through that show or not, but our talk fille, I mean, but but thanks for the shout out and anyway that that's just to me. That adds legitimacy. Like when I see these, you know, seeing me in these like picture montages or best of with like with all these other people

are on the show, I'm like, wow, I've made it. Looks like I made it. Looks like made it. It's like, oh look it's Oli Wild, Miles and Christoph Crook and me. It's like, yeah, like I do not belong with any of these people, all right? Which one of these is not like the other sesme Street Game, that guy.

Get that guy out of here? What's he doing that? It's the it's a Seinfeld from the opposite, Like when George gets the job with the Yankees said, Jerry's just like Ruth DiMaggio Garig Mantle because sans hopefully I'll be back, I'm just gonna keep willing it into existence. That's what happened last time. I was like, I don't know, man, this guys seem nice, but I don't know if it's gonna have Alright, So we have

another five star Apple Podcasts you from Patty Carrillo. Patricia Carrillo, Happy holidays and thanks forever grateful to have found this podcast. It is made my most current rewatch all the more enjoyable when I have the podcast, isn't too right after an episode? Well, thank you, Patricia. When you when you rewatch stuff like you even rewatched something along with a podcast like this before,

Uh yeah I did. I did with Friday Night Lights. That was gonna be my guests if I had to guess one show you did this sport, Yeah, right, it was. It was it was these guys from Mississippi. Actually, you know this is this is a while back. This is when we were still living at the house. It was when I was when I did this, and it was listened to their podcast and found it and uh yeah, I think that's the last one that I did something like that

for. And then outside of like instant reaction things to episodes or recent things like with the like the Midnight Boys, Um I listened to those. Yeah with me. It's sometimes sometimes if I'm listening to a podcast about something, it's something I know so intrinsically and like I don't need to rewatch like all the Star Trek stuff. I'm like, yeah, I don't need to rewatch this episode of Star Trek, thinking very much. Okay, because I did

it with the Friday Nightlights. When then I guess technically the Batman in the animated series with the the Arkham sessions. Yeah, you know, I recently listen to some of those because I was watching some beach ass yea as the kids say, never, I never call that my life, but any either, there was a good Dragon Ball one, but like I've seen those episodes, Like those episodes are like brainy acs just up here, same thing with the same thing with like like with Ranger Danger, Like I don't need to

watch those episodes to enjoy that podcast because there's too many other things about that podcast that are entertaining. Yeah. No, no, I feel the same way. It's like I know a show either so well that I don't need

to rewatch or very really like the twile Zone podcast. I've become friends with Tom over it is the twild Zone podcast, and h that's been fun to do, like to rewatch the episodes when he when he covers them, and and you know, he has more of a spread out schedule, as he'll tell you he so it's like, oh yeah, so it's not like you're just binging all these things, like oh okay, well every couple weeks is a new episode, and I'll watch the thing, and it's it's kind of

a nice kind of like, oh, I'm gonna sit down and watch this episode and then and then hear what they have to say about So so I get I get that vibe, and I'm glad. I'm glad I can provide that for for fans out there, because it's you know, it's like a companion piece to the show. That's the ultimate goal, right you want to be like, you know, a nice supplementary material, yeah, to the podcast. So so so thanks for that review, Patty, Thanks for pointing

that out. Yeah for sure. All right, just going down this this list of more or you know, reviews that are five stars from that podcast. This one from P two p. Nineteen seventy nine. But like this is what's what It's like a military serial number for a ship. Either that or it's like like Prime Time Player in nineteen seventy nine. Who is this, doctor Jeffy? Like, oh, awesome fan podcast, love listening. Really enjoy most of the guest hosts, most of the guests, and I

let us know who you don't enjoy? Love that. I love that. That's so fun. Started listening after zech Beard on talk Field. Now there it is PTP not he seventy nine Prime Time player. Let's get is that an acronym people use PTP? Uh dif I telled us? You know what these probably these are probably people's like when they're playing Xbox Live or yeah, they're gamer tag. Is that what it's still called? That's keV. keV does more that than us. Yeah, that's probably gamer tag. Yeah.

Anyway, well, thanks PTP. I enjoy most of the guest sos too, not all though, I'm not gonna lie. Most of the guests sos. That's good. That's honest though. I love that and hey and family after I appeared on a talk fild there of course, So thanks BTP. All Right, I got a five star another five star Apple podcast review from Stephen L. K c A the CA meaning California, I assume right space.

Yeah, so what does Kovac's middle Name's not? Ell? I think it's now Eddies doesn't live in California anyway, doesn't It's like, what is his middle name? Oh, it's Joseph, isn't it it is? Yeah, that's j K. That's j K bcs Oh man, that's funny. You know what's crazy? Apparently Lex Luther's midle name. Do you know this? Yeah, that's crazy. Yeah, like that's it's not weird. I don't think they should have the same middle name. I mean his mom has

a same name as Martha, as as as Batman's mom. Well no, well that's that's an independent decision made in the thirties and for a long time Martha was named something else. So in the George Reeves universe, Adam West would have killed him because they had different names or their mothers. By the way, anyway, what are we talking about? What's going on? Okay, well, taught, we have mentioned s JK BCS. Okay, oh, man, that is another man. This is this is the most ra

showed of in jobs. I was ever understand it. I'm sorry, no, I'm sorry, but a few of you seem to like when we go off the rails talking about stuff we know, Oh, we know it's not covad because he's Steven. He goes by Steve now, he's Steve now on Twitter, he sure does. He's a public figure. So if y'all are wondering who we're talking about, you can you can figure it out close. Personal from from high school spent many New Year's as that was an epic name's

party for many years. Yep. And you can watch him on peacock you can as a tech CONSTI tech consultant. Anyway, he goes by Steve now, so this is definitely not him. So funny all right, He's gonna get up a whole bunch of new followers now, no one is gonna find him off this. We're gonna get unfollowed now, I know. Take great pride in having thirty five thousand followers. We are like some of the four

hundred people that he actually follows us. Yeah, he's not gonna follow us, all right, Stephen, Okay, space c A, thanks for the five star review of a fun ride. Always fun to listen to others who little smallble as much as I do. And it's nice to hear about all the cool Easter eggs and stuff without having him do the work. Thanks for

keeping the dream alive, keep over alive. Yeah, that's part of the fun pointing out all these Yeah, I mean you watched this with them with a fine tooth comb and talk about episodes for three times as long as they actually are. Thanks. Yeah, all right. Another five star Apple podcast review from Casey Vach Best Small Ville podcast not just the best small Ville podcast

out there, but also one of the best podcasts out there. If you're looking for an in depth discussion on everything small and then you shall look no more. I have no one to talk a small bill with regularly, so it's really fun to listen and hear other people's opinions about everything we all love. Always hold on the small Ville. Thanks Casey. Casey's a patriot.

You've talked a bit in the past as well, so appreciate that. I appreciate your patrons and your review and I think I'm calling out all the patrons when I see their name, but I forgot. I'm sorry, good host if I interacted with you before, I'm sorry to now. You know how I feel when I meet Marca and Rosam every time YE look the show. I'm kidding, I always have that fear. I'm like, no one's gonna remember me, you know. But he did remember when I gave him my

business card. You saw I did. That was the precis being super But he had the presence of mind to act like you know what it was, and that means a lot. He had the presence of mind. The presence of mind the presence of Mind. Is that a song? No, that's from that thirty for thirty with Reggie Miller. Oh let me lost to the Lakers. Yeh, yeah, that's it. That's the tag. It's like we had to play the Lakers. Yeah, that's a good way to end

it. Thanks Casey, appreciate that. That five star review. Another five star review. I have a podcast from Blonde Headed Chicken. Okay, how to Love, Love Love Small Boll came out before I was born, and I didn't get into it until I was in the seventh grade, a few years after it ended. People in my age, we're not talking about this

show and no one knew what it was. Many still don't. Well, hey, I appreciate brutal honest though, I'm laughing because, like, like you know, people my age, we're not talking about the show and knew what No one knew what it was. Many still don't. That was basically like us when we were watching it live. Wait, a lot of people

would doubtless watched the show with us. No, I'm talking about like a little bit after that, because seriously, like after we were we were in college, like people would still come out to us like that show still show still see Superman yet. No, but they're gonna do it in the finale. I know they are. Oh God, small of those my comfort show. I watched all these seasons every winter through spring, paying tribute to when I first started watching it seven years ago. For context, I'm as old

as the show itself. Well, I've been listening to the talk Fille podcast with micro Rosa Moom and Tom Welling. I thought this was the only podcast where I could hear anyone talk about each episode in depth. Even still, the podcast doesn't go as in depth as this podcast, nor analyzes from a long term fan perspective, which is both interesting and wistful at the same time. I found you all through Talkville. When he came on to chat with

the two I did not walk. I ran to your podcast and started listening to it on my way to school while working through my homework. I enjoy you talking about Supergirl, Aero, Flash, and all the DC and Marvel comics shows, which is comforting because I became a fan of the comics and shows through Smallville. I really enjoy the rant's voices and hilarious commentary. Like

the show, we like the show. This podcast has really helped my anxiety has given me a niche and community of people who are as passionate and interested about the shows I am. I'm only eighteen episodes podcast into the first season as of this post, but I'm so excited for the long journey ahead.

I appreciate you guys, this podcast and everything you are creating. It warms my heart to know there are people out there who can joke about the show like me that the end of it have a deep love and respect for the cast and show. Ps. I couldn't stand the episode Kinetic either in the first season, but it was definitely my favorite episode of this podcast. But the constant Dude Bros Comments it was as I think, I think Nick was on that one with me. I think so so, I'm sorry he wasn't

here for that. You gotta gotta be a big guy. I gotta walk up for the bowl that be the truck. This podcast has got me through some hard things this year, just like smallvill did so many years ago. I always wish for the ability to go back and watch the show as if it was the first time again, and somehow always on the Smallville has given me this wish an opportunity. I cannot think Zach and his amazing guests enough for giving me a place to fall in love a Smallville all over again.

That's a nice email. That is a touching review. That is like one of my favorite reviews. Now, yeah, thank you, Blondheaded Chicken. I appreciate that. I mean, we all, like I was talking about how we listen to things and watch things before, well, you know, well the reason we you know, a big reason that these things are so special to us. It's like they've provided like escape or joy or entertainment in

times when we really just needed something right. And I mean, I know Small Bowl was that for me, for us you know, as friends back in the day too, And you know, to be able to do that again, like to be able to be that for other people, that that's great. Like I didn't like set out and I set just because I don't know what my goal was with this Lance. I don't know what I told you back in twenty sixteen. My goal is gonna be Yeah, it wasn't. It wasn't this. You just wanted to you know, we were both

getting into podcasting at the time. You wanted to do something specific and more focused than the other than our old show was and the show before you've heard you've heard it on the first shown. Sometimes yeah, you've heard the time before times I call it. So you want to do something a little bit more focused, and so you were like, well, what better thing to do than, you know, my favorite show. And so I was like, yeah, cool man, No, no, I'm it means a lot.

I'm gonna loss for I feel like I need to follow up with like a very heartful response. But thank you, Blondheaded Chicken. Indeed, that was that was a very touching review. And I'm glad you found the show. And uh and yeah, and hey, if you like Arrow and all that stuff, we got some other podcasts on our network here for you,

so always hold on to Arrow. Indeed dump dump ummum dumb. All right, moving on, we have another five star Apple podcast review from Beefy Beefy, Well that's I'm just thinking of a guy from I'm thinking of a guy from the from the frat who that's his nickname? Um like, but I don't know if this is him to be hilarious. If it was, he would have told me. But anyway, best podcast on Smallville. Great podcast for revisiting Smallville episodes even after all these years, I can watch one I've

seen so many times and not pick up on something. These guys seem to be able to do about the plot, props or characters. They are good humored and just a joy to listen to when you want to go that much deeper into a wonderful world that not just entertains but also builds up our hope as well. Great job, well thanks Beef, Beef. I mean, that's what I'm trying to say. Earlier, Small was like, you know, it doesn't it builds you a builds job it because you know there's some

good life messages of this show. What does it build up a cup baby? Just to let me go, wait a minute, Yeah, it mess me around. That's not what we're doing here. And worst of all, like like you know, you know finale right, I'm talking to mess about it. Even in these melbacks that I'm talking about. It's like when Clark's talking to the dark Side at the end, I know, right say the line Lance, say the line I will annihilate you. But I'll see that

right there, built us up to mess us around. And worst of all, they never called baby when they said they would, but I would. But we love you still Smallville. We need you you more than anything, Darling, don't break my heart. No, but he's telling a dark side. He's like, hey, you know, i'might be easier to hate,

but love is better. Right. I'm like, oh, what a what a good message, right, Like he's not going to give him the darkness and all of a sudden, Yeah, its because this kind of a cheesy sci fight thing that got going on because it's the Shan and all that. But it's a good message. And so so even in even in like an episode that we're going to just rip apart, we'll we get into it.

And we have been doing it for years on the podcast stuff in there, and so that anyway, that's something that like the messages of Superman, that's what it is. Find one code the number one room would be nope, killing ever And I mean ever, what is that from Jim Rome? Well no, but who said that on Jim Row? Jeff Right, Yeah, Jeff know it was like a quote from an interview. Yeah, there's Jeffer Richmond. I think that's that's part of our DNA or the gym Rum show.

It really is. I don't know why Lance and I are the way we are about. When we're on the microphone, listen to the Jim Rowan Show. No thanks, pef we Hey, best podcast on Smallville? Yeah, not one of, not one, best the best. Don't you open your mouth about the best? Who is talking about you? Crabtree? Mediocre receiver like crab tree. Gosh, people, what are these guys talking about?

Because I'm gonna go listen to talk villains yet now these guys are off the look if you're listening to the mailbag episode like we have the I feel the lead way that we can go off the rails here right, it's me and lands here right, come on? You know what to expect from these guys. Yeah. Anyway, we got a five star review from the mac Rock e XP. These are totally gamer tag anyway, what does e XP main experienced experience points? Okay, best small little podcast? Look at that?

Another one another one, another one? Yes, I know, I was doing DJ callin. I started to listen to the podcast because I was missing Smallville. I am so happy I found this. The only bad thing about it is I caught up with it and I have to wait every week for a new episode. It's exactly what I was talking about. Earlier, right hanging out of the mac Rock e XP. But why you wait? May I suggest always sold known to Arrow, indeed always on Superman Lewis or

or always on too DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Shout out to Matt and Tricia. That's right, they're launching. They launched tonight. That's another stupid thing. Also, hey, if you love star Wars, always one of the star Wars. So these are all of our always on two family of podcasts. So why you're waiting for the the small episodes to come out week to week? Just get caught up on our back catalog of other great podcasts. Yeah, where you have a full series for the podcast of Lewis and Clark.

Got that, But they're not part of our network and we don't promote them. I get nothing from that. Yes, brother, No, go listen to Lewis and Clark to the podcast of Superman. Matt X, who was now hosting the liszten Smar Show, started that and uh came to your friends or so definitely I'm just you guys know I'm kidding, Yes, you guess, do't joking around? All right, let me got next? All right, we have a Facebook message from Ey Limb says, today is a

sad day. I've caught up. I now have to wait for new episodes. The feeling is totally new. Still loving it. Keep doing what you're doing, bro, Marry Christmas. It's just the same person. This can't be the same person. This is very similar message. But no thanks eway, Like I was saying just for the last message that yeah, like, while you wait, we have a host of other podcasts you can listen to, but with thank you and Mary Christmas to you as well. He sent

that on Christmas Day. Yeah all right. Next email from Rohand two seven seven eight titled season one pilot episode theory. Hi everyone, I hope you all are doing fine. I don't know if this theory already exists anyhow, This is what I think happened to the pilot. Jonathan and Martha kN die during the meteor shower event because of the crash and kryptonite infecting them. We lather see them alive and they seem to be near the spaceship. So how

are they alive? Well, this is what happens. I think the spaceship is trying to neutralize the kryptonite nearby so that Calll is fine. This inadvertently also brings back Jonathan to Martha. This is possible because we see in season two episode Fever I think, where Martha is declared dead within the spaceship which is in the hospital Hill's Clark and also brings Martha back. I gotta say, when I first read this, I'm like, this is nonsense, and I'm like, oh oh, Kathy, yeah, you're drawing me in.

Actually, I was already pre judging this to write it off. This actually makes a lot of sense. Let's finish it off. So the theory basically is that the space ship can bring people back to if they were near it, and it's just trying to protect Hell from Kryptonite. What do you guys think? I feel that somebody else must have already brought up this theory, but I'm not sure, so I'm sharing it here since you guys always hold on to Smallville. All the very best, cherish each moment, stay happy

and healthy. Rohan. All right, thanks, Rohan. Yeah, very pleasant sign off there. I don't know, like I said, I was about to write that off, and that actually makes a lot of sense. Last thoughts, Yeah, I agree, I hadn't thought about that at all, So good on ya. Yeah, I will keep that in mind next time I watch the pilot. Yeah, I mean, I don't think that actually happened, but that's a fun fan theory. Yes, much like brainiac going back in time, window and thing all right. Next, we have

an email from Corey Moore the Legend titled Identity plus Bloodlines astro Zach. Thoughts and prayers go out to to mar Hamlin from the Buffalo Bills. As of the time I'm writing this, his health is improving. That was shocking to see live on TV. We're all hoping for the best for Hamlin and also that the medical community can learn some new preventative measures to help from this happening again. Maybe the Hamlin had some heart condition that doctors can screen for in

the future, maybe preventing something like this from happening again. That was incredibly scary, that entire thing. I've never seen anything like it. But thankfully, you know, as of this recording, he's out of the hospital. He is on the road to recovery, and good for him. I would say it's only a matter of time something that happens again. But it's such a such a freak game, such a freaking that the micro second of when your heart stops when it's beating, and to be hit then anyway, it's

it's crazy. It could have been I mean, obviously it's it's it's scary, but it could have been a real tragedy. He's on the road to recovery. That's that's fantastic. And he has like a charity for like awesome school drive or something. It was like it was it was a toy drive and his goal was twenty five hundred dollars and he got like six million. Amazing. Yeah, there's still some good out there, still some good out there. It might be easier to hate, but I choose to love there.

It is small Ville, Clark Kent. There it is no one say it's good in this world. Let's keep reading. Yeah, there's no good way to transition into the always hold on a small ville football league. But I'm in the super Bowl against the Jump City Titans. Jonathan has a twelve and three record, scoring the second most points in the league with eighteen hundred two point six six and a four game winning street. Am I scared? Hell? Yes? But I have a few Seattle Seahawks on my team,

and I that just might win me the title. Your discussion about the Identity episode was a blast hearing Anthon before before you go that far because of that Tomorrow Hamling game, he not advanced the super Bowl for fantasy football, and he would have like he was like two point short. Oh no, my game got neutralized and he had several players and he had already advanced, but they got unadvanced. Oh no, I think he mentions that. But we'll

get to it. But hey, you know there's no easy way to transition back and always on small. Please continue, all right? So here tree on discussion about the Identity episode was a blast hearing that Anthony mimicked his wardrobe after Clark had a lot of US men nodding our heads back in season eight. I also quickly grabbed a long sleeve white shirt put on a gray short sleeve shirt over it. How can you not? Tom Welling is one of the coolest guys on the planet or any planet. Had you ever ever done

that and dressed like people in shows? No? The closest person that I actually I would have dressed like, I guess would be what Dwayne Wayne? Maybe? Who's that a different world? Okay, I see that? No, I mean I used to wear a flannel in high school. He did

No, I was mostly doing my own thing. Okay, fair enough, Yeah, anyway, My favorite scene from Identity is when super Oliver is on top of the building and says this isn't part of the plan, then shoots in an aero rope and glides down and kicks the bag away from Jimmy. Oliver says some really fun things at times on the show. I grade this

episode with a B plus. Now on the bloodlines. Way back in the year twenty twenty two, yes, twenty twenty two, we bought a retired ten year old Thoroughbred horse named Magic for our oldest daughter to start learning how to ride English style. After a few weeks of Magic being home with us,

we checked the Thoroughbred dad based on Magic bloodlines. We didn't know it at the time when we bought him, but it turns out she's related to the greatest racehorse ever, Secretariat. Holy crap, Secretariat is his great great great grandfather. How cool is that. Magic is a nervous horse but is well trained and is like driving to corvette. He walks with a swagger and

is very athletic and graceful. I'm thinking it's from his Bloodlines. My favorite scene from Bloodlines is when Lois tells Clark that she received a pay raise from test. Hello, because I'm me Helois is hilarious. That was good. I thought that was funny. Blood Lines grades at a C plus, up, up and away more farm Thoroughbreds Secretariat, Huh Yeah, I thought Seabiscuit was the greatest racehorse of all time. Secretariat's blooded. I can't see back

there. That's good. That's a good toy bar impression. Yes, serious to me too, mister disease. That's what it was. It was crazy, is like because Tokyo Garb was making Stevens Kit like he kind of injured his back and we were like, we were my that was like an injury. We were this close to recasting with Ja Mysterio himself. That would have

been crazy. Yeah, like immediately derailed. Yeah. Superhero movies. Yeah, it's like we're talking about the greatest, one of the greatest superhero movies of all time, and it's like, oh, recast be kidding me, don't recast people. I speaking of recasting our next email that I didn't plan. That that was did not plan. This next email is from Matthew Santiago, Mateo Santiago, Patron, you've heard him on some level thirty three prot ones. Uh, he says mail bag, Hey, Zach, congrats,

I'm making it onto Talkville. Thank you. Which small ball character would you want as a co host on the pod? I'd take Lois because I did never have to worry about that air. It's true. Thanks looking forward to Superman Lois season three? Teo Santiago, Yeah, I mentioned recasting because they've a cat. They've of course recast, don't think Kent yep, and they

have not bothered to dye his hair blonde. And that's it's annoying to me because now everyone on the show is a white person with dark hair other than Steele. Obviously no comment on that. Um. I will say though that, uh that it is cool that, like I got to meet the original Jonathan Kent, like like before any of this came out, Like I met them at van as Analas and it was like after the season but before this, right in between, right, Yeah, yeah, hilarious. Always long

to that he's gonna be like the og Jimmy. Yeah, we'll see. No, I mean, if who knows how many seasons is gonna last, right, but if it's only if it's only one season. More of season three was like, well that weird other Jonathan King in the third season, right, Yeah, if it goes on like six or seven seasons, like remember that weird other Jonathan k in the first two years, That's how's it going to go? But you can't write off one of their suns. Yes,

that's the problem. Ye. Black Lighting found a way actually remember a combined or blew her up and recast her and then undid that at the end. Yeah, they did because like because China McClean was like going through some stuff and then she came back for the finale. Yeah, that was awkward. This is a more grounded show than Black Lightning anyway. But to answer your question, Matt, I'd say Jimmy Eilson because he's a very enthusiastic fan.

That's who you need on these shows. Do you have an answer to that? Oh, Pete, that's a good one. I changed my answer to Pete because I just remember Henry James Olson. It's not Jimmy Eilson. They're talking Smallville. So yeah, although really I've come to like Henry James a little more from season eight. Yeah, just because of just how badly the other characters have treated him. It's like, no, I don't have superpowers, what are you talking about cats lightning? This poor guy. He's

gonna die because he's gonna die because of you, Clark. All right, moving on, we are going to another Corey More email. This one is Abyss and Bride. Hey, commissioners, act Lately, I've been in a deep dark chasm. It started with the Damar Hamlin injury. Thankfully he's recovering nicely. Then yesterday my Seattle Seahawks were destroyed by the San Francisco sixty Yers. Yeah. I'm starting to feel like Charlie Brown and Lucy just pulled the

football away. I'm done with sports. Uh. Nice job discussing the Abyss episode, Patricia, she's another favorite of the listener base. Oh really, well then you like always on the DC's Legends Tomorrow sure will now available wherever you get your podcast. My favorite scene was definitely the flashback to a younger Chloe and Clark. The younger Chloe actress was right on point. I graded Abyss with a C plus. What about the younger Clark has no comment on

that? That was great having Lance back to review the Bride episode. Appreciate it. I know right, the two of you think alike and are funny as hell. It would be unfair to play against the two of you in board games like password or Pictionary, etc. You two can read each other's minds. I almost spit out my drink when Lance said, you know, I keep a private jet. I got the reference from the Chip Ro Show.

Indeed a legend. During the discussion, you were wondering if the guy filming the pre wedding stuff was the same actor Jimmy gave tickets to in a previous episode, Ring that Bell, and I think it's the same actor. What's funny is just this week earlier, as a joke, I put my fist out to a co worker and said, or ring that Bell. I laughed really hard, and he just looked at me weird. It was funny

to me, but he had no idea it was from Smallville. My co worker is twenty six years old and was just getting out of diapers when small feel started. Ish ha ha, I run hot and cold with the Bride episode. Some of it's awesome, and then Lana Mullet and all comes back and just derails the hall. It's one way to just comes back and just derails the whole episode series. Yeah, my favorite scene is when Lois is helping Clark insert his cuff lakes awkward bride grades at a B minus up,

up and away. You know, More keeps a private horse. That's I wonder if anyone else has ever identified these gym room quotes that say, last you know, a new Corey and hey, I thought you're real fun Bright would be minus. Yeah, look at that. Well, he's really gonna hate the rest of season eight. Right, it's like Rosemond, we're giving things like one rose and a heater. Yeah, it's like you have no

idea what your store from. All right, Well, More keeps a private horse quantity and quality, right, I mean because he sends a lot of emails, but he spends a lot of time. I don't know. I don't know he spends a lot of time or not. But he has a good job crafting these females dropping some puns. Next, great job, great job Corey so and uh and yeah, I guess he didn't mention it, but yes, he unfortunately did not. He finished third place in Fantasy football,

by the way. All right, I'll final message and the mail bag from d J Duenna email tunneled mailbag. Hi, I've updated the tally board

to include your new category, clean Airways. I hope I got the correct four episodes that you had in mind, and I also updated my own personal death toll category, which far out competes the hospital one with three hundred and twenty confirmed deaths until Bride ps. Also of note, as the charts show you consistently rate the episodes better than your guests, so if anyone claims that you were only tearing it down, now you have hard data to counter that.

So thank you DJ. So I'm referenced with. Like DJ, he has gone to a whole other level of the tally board. He excel sheet he shared with me. I haven't really got into it on the air Abotic because it's kind of overwhelming and I need to I need to assimilate it more. And he's discovered all these inconsistencies and like things I might have said and ranked in the show notes, as far as the numbers. I found that

too. I used to be like, here's a note, I'll shook the wrong thing right in the now what I do is I try to like find another number I said, and fix it that way. Sometimes I was like, you know what, I'll just fix it and no one will know. Well, DJ and you. So he's been doing a heck of a job behind the scenes making a new, very detailed telling. But with ALT I didn't even share with with you guys, Land, so I'll need to share with y'all so you can. You can take a look. It's very impressive.

Your work is well appreciated. DJ. I'll take a closer look at it, maybe maybe between season eight and nine because it's just so much information anyway, but No, I really appreciate that and all the hard work you've done and Corey Moore before you, and because it's hard to keep track all this stuff. It is, but someone's got to do it. Yeah, might as well be you. It's not easy being cheesy. That's I was gonna do fight for fighting, but Cheeto's works, I guess anyway where they

go Lands. That wraps up Part two, Part are two. Thanks for reading these with me. Nick, you were missed you were out there listening or not. We're gonna give him some crap about that the issues nid you listen to last episode? No, I didn't what are you even doing? But no, Nick was missed, but he'll be back next time. Lance. If people want to find you out there online, where can they find

you? You can find me at sir Lance last on all of my social media's and you can also find me talking about all the things that make Arrow arrow on. Always hold on to Arrow. All right, Well, this is being a mail bag. We're in the hiatus season right now, so

I can't I can't really tease or promise. What's next. Could be something small but related, could be something else we'll see, but until then, always hold on the small vill Always hold on to Smallville, as part of the Always Hold On To network of podcasts and brought to you by listeners like you, Chris Fuchs, Cavante, Chillis, Darren Kirsch, Joey Deenberg, JJ Hodges, DJ dewinna Issaiah Goodridge for his Yesness, Corey Moore, Nathan
