This episode’s guest is Daniel Frumkin, the head of research and content for Braiins / Slushpool. 

Slushpool is one of the oldest Bitcoin mining pools still in existence and has been a pioneer in the space since the early days of Bitcoin. 

Daniel started out his career researching and writing content about Bitcoin and eventually landed with Braiins back in 2019. Working for one the O.G. Bitcoin mining pools Daniel has been able to learn the intricacies of Bitcoin mining from some of the sharpest minds in the business. 

This episode is a technical discussion about Bitcoin mining, we talk about the history of the mining pools and how things are evolving in that industry. 

We discuss the different types of mining hardware and how firmware will play an increasing role in the profitability and efficiency of mining operations. 

Lastly we discuss the most important operating metrics that miners should pay attention to, and the critical issues to consider when planning a Bitcoin mining venture.
