You are listening to the Geekcast Radio Network. This is Megatron, leader of the Predacons, and you're listening to all things Transformers. Predacons, terrorize! Hello and welcome to All Things Transformers. I'm your host, Steve Megatron, and joining me on this adventure into the Transformers fandom is TFG1 Mike. Lemon face, lion face, lemon face, lion face. Nobody's going to get that joke. Not even you are going to get that joke. Nope, I'm not going to get that joke. Oh, God. Yeah,
anyway, it's a performance thing. But yes, we're here. Not that performance. We're here. We're no longer waiting. It is 2025. We are 41 years removed from Transformers debut. We are 40 years away from year two of that line and that cartoon because the 1985 set of toys was amazing. How was your Christmas since we didn't do it? Technically, Transformers 1, the DVD commentary, was our Christmas episode. Pretty good. I mean, I worked a lot
of my time off. And then, yeah, I spent the better part of it trying to just get a bunch of other stuff done. Got vehicle fixed prior to. Got my printer back up and running. However, it promptly took a dump on me. Oh, no. So I had the the print head got gummed up with the filament. And I don't know if it's because it like obtained moisture. I don't know if it's because this kind just doesn't play well. So anyways, it completely fused like I could not get the hot end off of the heating
element, like could not take it off. It had fused to it. So your printer became a fusor. Yeah, it became a fusor, all right. Nothing was coming out of it. That's not good. So I tried to fix it. I ended up having to snap that part off. I got it off, like, all the way, but then the threads were destroyed. And so then I had to
buy a new hot end. I bought it with the fan and all the other stuff because in my irritation, I cut the cord to something that needed to stay plugged in because I had bought just an upgrade for the keating element. And I was going to reuse everything else, but I couldn't get it back through the corded thing into the underside. So I got it all in there, got it all rewired, managed
to print something with it. somewhat good. Um, wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either, but it was the smoothest print I'd had in age. And then I moved it from where I was working on it, which was in my living room, uh, on a table there. And I moved it into my office and that's where the issues started up again. Oh no. And I messed with it for about two and a half hours one night. And then I eventually was like, don't care. Done. So I listed that printer
and I bought a new one. But I got to wait for the new one to show up and it's supposed to be very automated. It's supposed to be six times faster than what I have. It's enclosed so it shouldn't have as much of the heating issues. It has like an AI detection with a camera so it will detect if it's going to go into spaghetti
mode and then it will abandon the print. without me having to babysit it yep which is nice and then yeah so i'm waiting for that to show up and it it can actually print four colors at a time as long as i set it up in the software so i can do multi -color prints once i get that set up it's an established brand it's like any cubic uh cobra oh brah um and then uh it's supposed to it's it's basically like a Bamboo Lab version kind of knockoff of their mid -grade enclosed
printer and so yeah I'm hoping this fixes all the issues and I should be able to just remotely send crap to the device from my phone from an app if I have it or send it from other devices wirelessly like it's yeah the one I have right now it's every time I go to use it it's a headache and When it worked, it worked great. When it
didn't work, it didn't work. Yeah. Because I have a lot of brittle prints that are sitting here in unfinished land, like I was trying to print the Beast Machine Megatron in the cloak. Yep. I got as far as his pedestal, and then part of it snapped off because the... I don't know if it wasn't filled in right. I don't know. But I'm going to have to end up reprinting that whole
stupid thing that I got. that I got started, a lot of it didn't really print properly anyway, so I was going to have to do this, but I was just going to super glue it all together. Yeah. And just deal. Yeah. Because, I mean, ultimately it's going on display. It doesn't matter if it moves. Yeah, I mean, yeah. So, same token with, I was looking at, and this is not Transformers related, but I, because I've had Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, all of those figurines.
I decided I wanted to make a version of Vegeta from Dragon Ball GT, which is technically not canon. But it's anyways, there's a base form of him that he's not wearing the armor and looks kind of normal and cool. And so I was going to cobble together multiple figures to create that, which would have been fun. However, I looked on 3D printer stuff because I was like, I don't know. I don't really want to spend it. And then I tried to cobble the two figures I have now
that would have worked. And there's a missing gap where the waist joint would have connected. So it's not going to work. So I was like, do I want to get two $30 figures just to cobble them together in the hopes that they work? Or do I want to save my money and figure something else out? Yeah, so I looked and I'm like, again, it's going to be something that doesn't move.
I was like, if I buy a flesh tone filament, I could print the layers with the head and the hands and, you know, that portion in that filament. I could also just print the rest of it in its colors or paint it if I have to print it all
in one color. and i think i could do the same job uh and i've seen like about eight different nice 3d prints that might work for this so i'm gonna try that and see what happens and then uh if nothing else i've got a display item uh i am gonna probably reprint my power morpher once i get the new printer and that but i want to do beast machines mechatron something terrible Yeah, so that's what I've been up to other than brandishing new ideas for video content since
our YouTube channel has kind of slowly dwindled off as the podcasts have finished uploading. Well, there you go. That just means we have to create more podcasts. Yes, and video content. Well, yeah, but yeah. But yeah, Christmas was fine for me. I kind of am in hibernate mode still. Getting into Transformers stuff, we've got nine things, and it's not going to take us all night to go through all nine of these, because some
of these are just, hey, this happened. One of those, I'll actually skip over the Wave 1 Transformers Age of the Primes for a second, just to mention since we're talking about Christmas. David Cade did his annual Christmas greeting. That, and I'm like, oh, wow. David's always inventive when he does his Christmas greetings. Unfortunately, I think Gary Chuck is not doing, or he wasn't doing so well. He had some sort of cancer diagnosis. I forget what it was. There was something going
on. Yeah, he's got a cancer diagnosis. Yeah. Gary, please, keep fighting, man. We need you here. Keep fighting. Fight the good fight on that, you know, kicking that cancer butt. But, yeah, I saw David. Did you see the David Kaye video? Have you watched that? No, I haven't had a chance to watch it, which, yeah, I know. I'm like, but I haven't, like, it's just, it's been an interesting couple of weeks. Just been swamped
in general. We're six days into 2025, folks, and we both feel like we could use a long winter's nap. Because, oh boy, the end of 2024 was crazy. All right, so getting into the Wave 1 thing, can I just say I wish they would finally just say... And maybe this is more of an issue that I have with TFW than it is anything else, but like... So we're going to talk about the Transformers Age of the Primes Wave 1. Which includes your Voyagers, your Deluxes, your this, your that,
whatever, whatever, whatever. We're now getting into the whole thing of Hasbro having various other names for larger size figures. So usually, how it has been for the last at least 15 and a half, 16 years of you and I doing this show, it's, what's the time, Core Class, Deluxe Class, which is your standard mid -size figure, not mid -size, but it's your standard thing. Voyager's a little bigger. And then there was Leader and
this, that, and everything else. A couple years ago, they introduced the Commander class, which is like your super Leader class kind of thing. And now they have Titan class. And I'm just like, okay. What's besides, obviously, price, because yikes. You know, we're going to go through these. We have images. That's the only reason why we're going to go through this wave one is because there is actual box art. And inbox images of these things. But man, I wish they would get
their sizing redone or re -whatever. Silverbolt is one of the commander classes. So they're doing the aerial bots. We've got Air Raid and Slingshot. So we get three of the five aerial bots. The funny thing is, because they're doing this Age of the Primes thing, and it's, oh, it's the Age of the Primes, and everybody's included in this thing. And I get to Fugitive Waspinator, and I'm like, that's an animated Bumblebee repaint into the Fugitive Waspinator from Animated. Wasp
or whatever. And I'm like, ooh, that's cool. I want it for the car mode. That's the only reason why I would want that figure. Not because the bot mode doesn't look cool. It looks amazing. But literally, I loved when they did certain repaints of Bumblebee's animated design. Like Bumblebee, I never had the animated Bumblebee. What I had was the Elite Guard Bumblebee, which is basically the Bumblebee figure, except he's black and gold instead of, because he's supposed
to have the stealth look. when he became an elite guard member. But I love this Wasp. I can hear Waspinator coming out of this animated Wasp design. We've got Solus Prime. I like her alt mode. We've got the Generation 2 Grimlock. So, Blue Grimlock. What do you think of Blue Dinosaur? Blue Dinosaur versus Purple Dinosaur. There's no Megatron in this listing, but... I'm indifferent. It's just a repaint. Just another effing repaint, man. Just a bunch of repaints. Megatronus the Fallen,
so we get that. What do you think of Megatronus? I can't even talk tonight, folks. Megatronus. Don't get me wrong, I like the figure. I know it's a retool of Megatron. It looks cool. It's got a different deco to the chest and to the whole... If it weren't for the fact that it's another one of these type of canon, you know...
Yeah, it was a different tank, yeah. Yeah, I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the design of the figure, especially in Robot, because I'm like, oh, that would make a nice pre -Beast Megatron that they could retool, even though it's not the miniature version. It would be something... It would look fitting. Yeah. Almost like an IDW Megatron. Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. Which, I think, didn't they do IDW Megatron? I think they did at one point or another. They didn't make one.
Really? No. I thought they did. Not Beast Megatron. No, no, no. I'm talking about IDW Megatron. I know they didn't make a Beast Megatron. Oh, yeah. I'm pretty sure that was like a... Yeah. That fire... Yeah, it was like a model kit. It wasn't... Okay. I remember IDW Megatron when IDW still had the license to the comics and they revealed his alt mode. That was by far... Out of any of the tank versions Megatron has ever been, that was the coolest. At the time when they had it.
Up next is Star Optimus Prime. Star Convoy. It's a Japanese version. Yeah, the 13 Star Convoy Optimus Prime. This is... I don't know. I like it, but that's because I like that design. In that universe, though, They had him merge with like diatlas and some others and he actually fought the super Megatron in this body. Okay. So that's why I care about it. Yeah. They made a super Megatron years ago, a triple changer.
Yeah. And, uh, but it was with the, uh, war for Cybertron or not work for Cybertron battle or power of the primes. Gotcha. Yeah. I like his... I like the trailer. This is so stupid. I like the trailer because it reminds me of Power Master Optimus Prime's trailer. I don't necessarily like the front part of the vehicle mode. The upper part of it. That's a little... I mean, I get it. It's where it's there because of the guns, but it is what it is. At first, I thought
this next one was a, uh... What's his name? Sentinel Prime. Because blue legs, white body, whatever. But apparently this is Red Alert. Why Red Alert's blue is beyond me? Okay. Well, this Red Alert is from Robots in Disguise. Or not Robots in Disguise. He's from Armada, I think. Oh, that. Okay, yeah, that's right. I remember that now. Yeah. I like the alt mode. It's funny with a lot of these listings that we have for this story, folks. I like some of the alt modes more than
the actual bot modes. Same thing with Prima Prime here. That is a cool alt mode. Yeah, it's basically, it kind of reminds me of like Hup or... Yeah, I like this figure, but it's more so because... there's the capability of turning this into the IDW pre beast. Yep. Yeah, absolutely. And, uh, the Lux class retail prices are now up to 25 bucks per figure ages, eight and up, man. Yeah. What were Deluxe's 15 years ago? Eight 99. Well, they were like 12 something, but still. Okay.
Yeah. Yeah. Also, I was trying to find pictures, and maybe it's in a separate story that I didn't grab, but they list here the next Transformers collaborative thing, Transformers X Sonic the Hedgehog wingtail and blue booster action figures. Have you seen these things? No. Oh, my God. All right. Well, let me send you the link, because apparently in the story link with the wave one, there's a link there that says, here, look at the extra blah, blah, blah. Holy crap. Why? Why
what? The stupid things. Oh, so this is a previous. Okay. Well. Alright, well, I'm seeing more images of that Optimus. I'm kind of liking him a little bit more. That red alert still looks like Sentinel to me. Uh, but these Sonic figures are at the bottom of the thing? Past all the images with the kids and the toys, I guess? Uh, wait. I don't see the Sonic images at all in this. Huh. Why would TFW2005 .com, what the hell are you doing, link into a story that... Oh, here they are.
I think. Transformers sound like the Hedgehog. They ugly. It's funny, too. I also follow certain things in the TFW forums. And I think... We'll get an announcement later this year of a masterpiece Tarantulas and Waspinator. Nice, that would be cool. So, I like the car mode and the airplane mode. I don't like the robot mode on this new collaborative thing they're doing. It's too weird. Doesn't work. I don't know. It's like they took, um... Granted, Blades from Robots in Disguise
and... Was it Robots in Disguise 2015? No, Rescue Bots. There's a helicopter. There's an orange helicopter on there called Blades. The Tails figure here, it's like they took Blades, made him an airplane, and somehow mashed the yellowness of Tails. in this. And the whole point of the Sonic character of Tails, the whole reason why he's called Tails, he has two tails. Oh, duh. He ain't got two tails as this airplane. He got
one tail. So, yeah, no. No, thank you. Really quick before we move on, as I'm seeing more of this Optimus, I do like the robot mode more than anything else. I'll say now that I'm seeing more of the robot mode. That alt mode, like I said, the trailer reminds me of Power Master Optimus Prime, and there's just too much going on with that trailer. In the alt mode, not in the battle station mode. The battle station mode, fine, you can have whatever you want going on there,
but that's a little much. No, I get it. Yeah, I just like the figure, the design. Yeah, absolutely. All right, folks. Moving on, we've got, because I was actively seeing if there was anything for you, because we've always said, oh, they're not doing anything with Beast Wars lately. They're not doing this, they're not doing that. We have upcoming Wonderfest 2025 exclusive Beast Wars
Optimus Primal and Rattrap Garage kits. Coming to us via Twitter slash ex -users, this person and that person, because I can't pronounce those names whatsoever, we have renders and images of two new upcoming Wonderfest 2025 exclusive Beast Wars Optimus Primal and Rattrap garage kits. Both fans have got official permission to sell Beast Wars Optimus Primal, Rattrap, Beast Mode, and Optimus Primal Shield, seen in the cartoon garage kits, assembly scale model kits
most commonly cast. and polyurethane resin. During the Wonder Festival 2025 event on February 9th, 2025. Hey, my 45th birthday. Yay. In Japan. The license only allows these kits to be sold at the convention in Japan. Won't be available in any retail or online store after that. So the license only allows these to be sold at the show.
And these are supposed to be model kits? Okay, I'm looking at the Optimus and I can kind of see how they are where the lower part of his arm and the upper part of his arm where his shoulder... Okay, I can kind of see that. It's like those old 90s toys where they literally, you know, you can rotate the wrists and the arms. It's like if you had the old genie figure. You know, from the 90s. For Aladdin. Yeah. That's basically
what these are. Yeah. And, um, I don't know many people that are going to get, I mean, you can try to find them on secondary market, I guess, but I, that's just weird to me. I honestly don't. feel the need to get these? No! Well, I, when I saw the story before, I mean, I read the story before we did the show, and my reaction is kind of authentic, but not. I'm kind of putting on a show a little bit here, but it's a little crazy,
and it's only those two. Like, out of all the characters, like, okay, yeah, like, do Optimus and Megatron? I don't have anything against Rattrap. Rattrap's cool. Maybe if you had a license for a second wave or something. I don't know. This really isn't even a wave. It's two figures and a shield. Well, and I think, honestly, I think it's going to be one of those things. Like, the shield? You can already buy that from Funbee Studios. Like, the 3D print file? Yeah. And then
have it printed yourself. Yeah. So there's really not a case for getting this? Yeah. No, not really. Not at all. Moving on, I gotta say, I wasn't that interested before, but I am now. You better watch out, Funko, because Blockies is coming for you. There's always another one to knock off the previous one. Yeah, yeah, I know. Locky's Transformers Galaxy Version Wave 6 full lineup and in -hand images via Weebo users, that person and that person. I can not rab in some other
language that I can't speak. In him, images of new Blocky's Transformers Galaxy Version Wave 6. This new wave of small, chibi, and easy -to -build model kits consists of the following characters from different universes. IDW Megatron, IDW Optimus, G1 Sunstreaker, Shattered Glass Ratchet, G1 Kickback, Dirge, Wheeljack, Swoop Dino Mode, Swoop Robot Mode, and IDW Optimus Prime Forcefield Mode, Blue Redecco Chase. The only one out of this that I want. Because I'm looking at this Optimus
Prime and I'm like, was IDW Optimus that? Literally, I thought this was like, um, uh, no, no. It's War for Cybertron. Is it really? Yeah, it's the, it's the old War for Cybertron design of Prime. No, it's not. He had windows on him. No. This one is from the old War for Cybertron comics. Oh, the comics. Okay. I thought you meant the video game. I was like, um... No. Okay. No, they've already made that figure. Yeah, that's what I thought. But really, the main star in this for
me is the Megatron. But I've been looking at the other Blockies that are on the Blockies website and where else you can buy these things, and I'm like, ooh, I want that one. Ooh, I want that one. Ooh, I want that one. But that Megatron with the Autobot logo on it, because during part of the IDW run, he becomes an Autobot. It was the only way to save Cybertron at the time. I like the swoop. I probably wouldn't buy the swoop, but I like it. I think it's cool. The Chase Optimus
looks... Optimus just looks weird all blue. I mean, it's a nice homage to when they had an animation error in Season 1 of Generation 1 when he was all blue. But yeah, the only reason why I'm even talking about this story is that IDW Megatron, because that looks badass. Any thoughts? Guess not. Catchphrase. So these blockies, any thoughts, sir? Well, aside from Optimus Prime being from the War for Cybertron comics and then Megatron being from the IDW universe, I honestly
don't hate these. They actually look cooler than the RED figures. And they look better than those. They sold something else by Hasbro and they were like four to five dollars. They were like very low detailed and they barely moved or had barely any posability. These actually have posability. They actually look halfway decent. Like they're not, you know, they're not expensive figures. They're about the size of like your old school basic figure and about the same price point.
They just don't transform, which honestly, I don't really transform any of mine in any more anyway. Like I like the capability being built in still in case I'm like, Oh, I want to mess with it. But I mean, I've got these ones in the cabinet and I've not pulled them out in six months to do anything with them. Um, so, so again, like that's where like the model type thing is more fitting. Yeah. I do like these two figures, uh, the optimist and the Megatron. I've looked at
them in the store. Like, I honestly have looked at them. I'm like, you know, I wouldn't mind. Yeah. Of the right figures or the right characters for me. Yeah, the right characters, yeah. And I've looked at the old, you know, the other Optimus Prime, and I see we've got some Shattered Glass stuff in here, and, you know, I'm not... I would sooner buy these over Funkos. And it's not... I don't hate Funko's the way I hated Mighty Mugs.
Yeah. But the same, but the same token, like, if I, like, they have the Transformers 1 figures, they have, you know, the rollout, they have, you know, all these different versions of the characters. The Transformers 1's figures don't really entice me outside of the Megatron. Yeah. The original, Blockies, the Optimus Prime looks cool. And the original Megatron and some of the other ones. I don't know. I've almost pulled
the trigger on them. I've not. But that's because I have limited funds and I have limited shelf space. And so to me, it's like where do I draw the line? But like I said, some of these are really cool. I haven't found one yet that I would 100 % jump to. I do like the Megatrons and the Optimuses across the board. And they can do some cool poses. Yeah, they can. And if honestly you were trying to have the entire lineup of G1 characters or some of the other ones, they have a metallic
Optimus Prime. yeah as a part of the initial i that one is tempting yeah if i ever saw it yep um just because it's like i could have a real g1 prime and it's not stupid expensive they're like five bucks at walmart so yeah yeah i don't know i i like these because they're they're like almost a chibi without being corny yep Now, correct me if I'm wrong, because I'm looking at the, what's the, which Insecticon is this? Kickback. I'm looking at the Kickback, and I'm looking
at the Swoop. Now, there are two images here where it shows Kickback in robot mode on a stand, but it also shows an alternate mode. These aren't supposed to transform, right? The alternate mode is just a separate figure, right? Am I wrong in this? As far as I know, they're not supposed to. However, looking at his knees, they almost look that way. See, this is... Okay, let me look up here in this article again. This new wave of small... Well, this one, they do. Like, Swoop
transforms. Okay. Swoop transforms, and so does... I don't think all of them do. No, not all of them, but some of them do. Because originally I was like, ooh, Swoop as a Pteranodon or whatever he is, I would kind of like that, having Swoop in alt mode without having to transform him. But yeah, the way that these look, some of them are, I guess, transformable. They're still very, very cool. I mean, I'm almost all in on these. But really, for me, it's that IDW Megatron, man.
It's just that era of where... We all know Megatron, the Decepticon leader. We've known him for 41 years. What they did in IDW to him and changing just the way that they wrote that, it was so cool. And just having that would be just so awesome. And so far, even though the earlier waves are showing up here in the U .S., this Wave 6 is only available in China at point of recording. So hopefully Wave 6 gets to the U .S. soon. Agreed.
Because I'm not importing. I don't import. I like Hot Rod, but I don't do sleek, sexy imports with toys. We're not talking about Trypticon that much. I only have the Trypticon story here because of the fact that I watched this livestream with them, and I was trying to figure out why they weren't going to make their Age of the Primes Titan Trypticon, why they weren't going to make it fully cartoon accurate. And the only reason that it's not is because of the pinkish car now.
Like, why couldn't they just reuse the purple car? It's the same thing. First look at upcoming Transformers Age of the Primes Titan Trypticon. This is a re -release of Titans Return Trypticon. Titans Return Trypticon, all they had to do with this is just repaint him the darker color. They didn't have to do anything else with it, but yet we're getting the darker color with a pinkish car part thing instead of purple the way it was in the show. I don't know. I don't really care.
If you're trying to sell me on we're going to have everything cartoon accurate, this one kind of failed. Sorry, Evan and Mark and... Ben and everybody on the Hasbro team, but not for whatever the price a Titan class is. Hell no. Any thoughts? No, I mean, I don't get into all these giant versions of the characters. And honestly, I don't need a re -release of something from Titans Return as Age of the Prime. It just kind of seems... Like, oh, we had this mold sitting around. Let's
re -release it. You know they're going to charge it like $50 to $100 more. Oh, of course. Absolutely. They're like, oh, we're going to get some more fun out of this. It's like, dude, we don't care anymore. Give us something new. Yep, absolutely. We've got... I'm moving around here a little bit because the last two stories, we're going to kind of fly. We're going to give a little bit more to... Well, the last one is just a fly -by -night, but the... The one -eyed mood ram.
Mark Clonus, Mark from the Hasbro design team, shared behind -the -scenes images of Age of the Primes commander class Silverbolt. I love that we live in an age where these designers, as long as a figure has already been announced or has been teased or previewed or whatever, that we can go on Instagram or wherever they have their behind -the -scenes accounts of what they're working on, and we can see how... things are
going to look. I love that. And that's the only reason why we're even looking at this, is to see these Aerialbots kind of, you know, in action. And, man, it was... These combiner teams, I know you're not that big on the whole combiner team
thing, but... All these, between Devastator, and Bruticus, and the Superion, and the Aerobots, and the Combaticons, and the Constructicons, it's like, all of this is so cool, because I remember, I had Silverbolt, and, I had, did I have all the, Silverbolt, Air Raid, Skydive, I forget the other, too. I had at least, I know I had Silverbolt and I think I had Air Raid or Skydive. I think Air Raid originally was voiced by Rob Paulson in the cartoon, so I probably
had him. What do you think of the behind the scenes of Silverbolt here with the others? And we're talking about the Age of the Primes. Yeah, the behind the scenes. So, for one, I loved the I love how solid these look. And when I say that, I mean my kid has the old Power of the Primes Superion. Or not Superion, Defensor. And the way those things are designed are such utter garbage. And I say that because the way the hinges work, the way that they kind of snap together.
Whereas Silverbolt here has the framing so you can still kind of build them without his buddies. The framing is there that you more or less attach the other figures to. Whereas in the old figures they're kind of held together by like you flip the head inside the chest and then they're a peg to attach to the shoulders or the legs or whatever. And it just seems very brittle and cheap. And these seem very like solid, very like, you know, crunch together, like very well thought
out. And in that regard, I, I do like where they went with it. Yeah. Seeing him next to, I think that's motor master in the first, in one of the first images of him with the other bots, he picks up motor master. I love this. I think this is super cool. Like I said, I had the original 80s version of Silverbolt as a kid, and man, the one where he's picking him up, just the way that Mark has Silverbolt posed, where he's on his tiptoe and his heel spur for his right leg, and
just the, man, how did he get that to? The things we'll never know, folks. The things we'll never know. That's just amazing to me. That's why I love a lot of the toy photography stuff is because people like Mark who work at Hasbro or even people who are in the fandom like Sixo from Triple Takeover Toy Cast. Sixo does amazing photography, and I would love to interview him one of these days about his toy photography. But yeah, Mark did an amazing job with his behind -the -scenes look
of the Commander Silverbolt. Speaking of things you don't like, here we go. They're coming. Funko Digital Pop Transformers Wave 2 in -hand images. So the one image that is here... Because there is only one image. I've seen 360 shots of Cheetor on Instagram from a different account. But this is from Distrackers. Distrackers is the quote -unquote number one account to share hacks, leaks, whatever. The Pop Analyst is the other one that is listed here. Pop Analyst, I kind of know him,
but I don't know him that well. But he's the one I saw the 360 on Cheetor with. So, this wave includes G1 Ultra Magnus Blitzwing and RC, Beast Wars Cheetor, and then G1 King Starscream Metallic. It also includes a Freddy Funko as Grimlock Metallic. Personally... I know there are a lot of people in the Funko community that I'm friends with that love Freddy Funko dressed up as other characters and things like that. I hate Freddy Funko dressed
up as other fictional characters. I don't mind if he's dressed up as a policeman or a fireman or if he's at the beach or if he's doing something, but if you put a Batman costume on him, I'm like, nope, don't care. And the Transformers Freddy Funko's... Disgusting. However, but... Yeah, I don't care for this character at all when they
do that. Yeah, no, no, no. But the Ultra Magnus, Blitzwing, Cheetor, and King Starscream, I'm actually getting from a buddy of mine, because he was lucky enough, and this is why we're going to talk about this, but he was lucky enough to pull all of these. I'm getting the Ultra Magnus, Blitzwing, and Arcee, and Cheetor from him. I have to find somebody that I can get a King Starscream from because, oh boy, King Starscream's aftermarket price is not cheap because he is the grail of
the set. But I kind of love how these look. I love how everybody's complaining about Ultra Magnus' lips and his face and how it kind of looks like Overlord's lips and face and whatever else. And I'm like, do you not remember Ultra Magnus from G1? He was a stoic, heroic -like person who always had a chip on his shoulder, who always wanted to follow the rules, who didn't want to break the rules for anything. So him having this kind of frowny look on his face kind
of makes sense, at least to me. And that Cheetor is some hot stuff. I love that Cheetor. I can't wait to do this, to get these for my buddy. And I've already, luckily, I saved up my money last year and I've already paid him. Basically, I'm just waiting for them to be shipped on my birthday next month. So, I don't read. Like, we read news stories from TFW 2005. I haven't been on the TFW boards in years. And I don't read the comments
on the news stories. But because it's Funko, and I was curious to see what people were saying. One person on New Year's Eve said, I'm still not 100 % sure how you get these things, but I think it's pretty lame how they're locking physical merch behind a stupid digital tokens or NFT crap or whatever. I was kind of tempted by that Cheetor. It goes on to say, somebody quoted somebody else saying, Funko doesn't operate in a vacuum. Hasbro signed off on this and fully
supports it. If you look at who largely has IPs tied to these NFT waves, it's almost entirely Warner Brothers and Hasbro properties. Not saying that makes it right. I dislike this style of FOMO release. But if I were throwing stones, Hasbro gets as much of the blame as anyone because they can easily say, no, we don't want to be a part of this. They are just as bad as Funko here for not only taking part, but also doing
over and over and over again. If Hasbro could have figured out the NFT grift, they 100 % would have done this with their own figures. And then somebody replies to this person, says, one hand, yes, on the other hand, Hasbro probably wouldn't be pushing Funko to do this if Funko hadn't brought the idea to them in the first place, which is very true. Funko back then did bring certain ideas to people. It's just, like, I don't do the, like, thankfully we've got leaks and listings
and other things. Not listings, but we've got leaks of potential Transformers Funko Pops that are going to come out this year. I've heard, like, supposedly there's supposed to be a hot rod with Matrix. Again, that is a huge rumor. It's not super confirmed, but it's usually accurate. But all of the rumors have said that they are... It hasn't revealed what the exclusivity is, but none of the rumors have said NFT. I'm hoping
in the year of 2025, Funko and Hasbro... Stop putting Transformers Funko Pops behind the NFT wall and just put... You can make them convention exclusives. You can make them store exclusives. You can make them regular pops. It's fine. It's whatever. But at least let us buy the damn things. Yeah, I agree with you. And that's my spiel on that. But yeah, I'm really looking forward to getting Cheetor because, like I said, Cheetor is... This is very, very cool. I saw a 360. I
took a screenshot and showed somewhere. They were like, is that an actual toy? And I'm like, yeah. And? It's like, oh, my God. Some people, man. I just don't understand. I don't understand this human race we live in. Alright, and finally up tonight, last story, we got the Transformers Skybound March 2025 solicitations. I was not going to go through January, February. If you guys want to hear January, February, go listen to another comic review with Jesse Early, myself,
and The Uneven Flow. But coming in March, Transformers number 18, Void Rivals number 18, and the previously announced Transformers Deluxe Edition Book 1 hardcover are included in the latest Previews World things, and I understand how comics work, folks. I've been doing the pullback for 12 years this coming March, so I get it, how previews work, but you cannot imagine how many times I've heard with these upcoming issues. Autobots vs. Decepticons vs. this spoiler, whatever the spoiler
is supposed to be. I'm like, hurry up. Tell us who the third faction or third rival is here. Is it G .I. Joe? Is it the Void Rivals characters? Is it somebody completely different? Like, just tell us. But Autobots vs. Decepticons vs. blah blah blah is already devastating Seattle, but none of them are prepared for how it will end. And then for the Void Rivals number 18, at long last, Zerta. So, again, I will say to you, sir,
check out Void Rivals. I know the trades are out right now, so you can get the Volume 1 trade. Just check out that first five issue. You might like it, you might not. But they do have, I do love how Skybound is doing the hardcover volumes for Transformers and the rest of their series that they're covering in the Energon universe. So that's coming for comics. And that's it for our little show tonight, folks. I think, unless you got anything else. Well, I mean, I don't
really have a whole lot. I'm kind of hoping we get, like, I've heard rumors, at least for the Funko, that they're going to have an Optimus Primal and Megatron. I'm hoping this year we get, from Hasbro, a Transmetal Megatron. Yes. That would be cool. I'm assuming we'll get a quick strike. Aye. Have we already gotten one of those? I mean, we always get one of those. No. Really? No. I swear we got a quick strike
already. No, we didn't. Huh. Interesting. Yeah, but yeah, and the rumors that are out there, like I said, there are a number of really good accounts that are usually... Look, folks, say what you will about some of the social medias out there. Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. That's Facebook. I always go to Facebook first, I go to Instagram second, and I go to Twitter last, because... There's always been a dumpster fire, whether it's a poor person or it's never
going to change. But it's one of those things where on Instagram, at least, I get to see the things because it's this, whatever. And a lot of the Funko community, people who do Funko news and try to break the, not break, but try to break the news with leaks, whatever else, most of the
time, they're... 90 % correct. And I did see on that list that there supposedly is an Optimus Primal, but just like half the time when we see news items that don't have pictures to go along with it, like the Wave 1, if that Wave 1 article didn't have those pictures because of the Hasbro 1027 event or 1227 event or whatever the hell it was, we wouldn't have talked about any of that because I'm not talking about stuff that
I can't see. And like I said, huge rumor with the hot rod with Matrix, with the potential. I can't wait to see a Beast Wars Megatron Funko Pop. Honestly, that Cheetor looks so damn good. If they can nail Cheetor's bot mode in a Funko Pop form, I can't wait to see what they do with Megatron. It's going to be awesome. And you're going to have like six of them. One. Because
I will send all six to you. One. Oh, crap. Yeah, I mean, it's going to be interesting to see what they come out with this year across the board. I still haven't seen the Hot Wheels Optimus Prime. Really? No, I haven't seen it in the store. Oh, okay, in the store. I was like, I'm sure it's online somewhere. They have an Optimus Prime without the trailer. Yes, yes, yes. Part of the Hot Wheels basic line in 2025. So I imagine once
I see that, I'm going to have it. I don't want the Mattel Transformable Optimus Prime just because
I can't afford that. It's stupid expensive. But having just the just the they have like an off -road it's or track fleet which is like the ten dollar one that's prime with this trailer i haven't seen that and i guess that was supposed to be released in like july of last year i never saw that in the store like some people were like i've seen it at target i'm like well good for you my targets suck they never restock anything like they're always empty and then they have
the you know just the regular optimus prime no trailer which i would put on my Because I have the Batmobile from the animated series Hot Wheel Cars, and I've collected every color variation of the animated series one. I still have one that's unopened. Nice. But yeah, the Optimus Prime, yeah, I would pick that up in a heartbeat and probably have two, one for opening and one for not. I still have the old Thunder Roller
Hot Wheel Car. Very cool. Semi -trailer. your semi truck from, you know, the nineties that they don't sell anymore. So yeah, I'm, yeah. I'm interested to see what they do. Yeah, absolutely. I like hot wheels though. Yeah. The only hot wheels cars I have is kit. I have one in package and out of package for the super pursuit mode kit. He has the out of package one sits right here on my desk next to, Optimus Prime, R2 -D2, Stay Puft, Mini Marshmallow, Batman. But I think
that's going to do it for us, folks. I concur. So, thank you all for listening to All Things Transformers. We have been Steve and Mike. So, until next time, let us know what you would like to hear on the episode. Feedback at geekcastradio .com or you can comment on the episode post on the website. And until next time, Transform! And roll out. Transform and roll out. Autobots, roll out. Yes. I wish to speak to my lawyer.
