We've had a good little run these past couple We've got a lot of shows in. We broke our record, we got a lot of shows in. But man, it's the cherry on top. It's gonna be our next guest man, former teammate of mind, he brother, just all around good dude. We'll make you laugh without trying. We'll be in your
fridge without asking. Welcome to the show. Maybe we're good. Yeah, yeah, you hear Bill all the depth episodes out of watch Man. You're here, appreciate that, man, NBA Champ, Big three Champ Father. What's going on in your life right now? Bro? Wait wait wait wait, Before we get to that, we want to address something real quick. Take a look at that screen right there. Talk us through this. Oh oh my goodness, you out there living good, big fellows, having two days.
You know I did that on accident. You accidentally have you if you can't, if you you don't see my shorts down there, but they're down there. You know how you push off that fast. Michael felt like, yeah, push off. I pushed off and I lost around your ankles or what? Yeah, they left they behind me, They're behind Okay, let's get to the show. Have a cheeky day. There you go. H Man, what's life flack? Right now? Life is great man.
I'm just taking on new adventures. Man. Uh, I'm acting, and that's gonna get into We're gonna get into the integral parts. But go ahead tell us about that. I'm acting. I'm in the cannabis space here in New York. It's been a great, great, great little journey, you know what I mean. It's just something new. You know, the curiosity is back now, so you know I'm all for it. Man's you show some love to live though, raconist. That's your celebrity crush. Yeah, I want to do something. Yeah, yeah,
I'm gonna do something with listen. I ain't even gonna I just like person, you know, big people. This is just a perfect opportunity looking at camera and gonna send your shot your list. Oh I'm talking to you. I'm reaching out. I've seen you a couple of times. I ain't really say nothing, but I need you. That's I need you. Your energy. I feel like me and you together the is just a hell of a combination. And
were represent for the big people. And I think you're awesome and you're beautiful and I think you really you know. Yeah like that. I like that big fellow like that. And then as soon as you're done with him, come hang out on the couch for let's talk to us. Okay, come together, package deal, Yeah, come together, or so you come with me. I'll be right next. So are you fighting? You gotta fight coming up? Man? Yes? Man, talk about it. Boxing.
I've always box. It's always been like a pre like before the years start, right as we work out of the NBA, right, that was kind of like my innition to like get going. So I've always been a fighter training boxing. M m a um. Good friends with Dana White. He's like he's got me trainers and trained at his facility, like you know what I mean, Like people don't know you know that. I've really love the sport like that, and a lot of people have been like, oh, what
are you doing? What are you doing? Like I know what I'm doing. So it's like and then I want to get some revenge for for the basketball players. Yeah, for Nate. Yeah, we still haven't had Nate on the show. We gotta get Nate on the show. Yeah, um, you have any potential opponents yet, We got a couple in mind. But the one that I really really want is like Roy Nelson. Oh, big Roy with the mullet, big country. He got he got them, he got the waffle slippers.
You ready for them? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, I like I like Roy. Yeah. You know he's a heavy you know, right guy. You can tell when he's about to throw that right he kind of sinks to the right a little bit and he floads up, he loads up. So it's just it's I think it's a good guy for me. He's six ft you know, you know I'm six seven. Keep him on the outside ones and twos, you know, being shaped with that man. Yeah, that cardio is important.
I know. Man. Uh, it's a whole different beast, right because when you go out there and you fight like it's just you, it's like, I don't got you know what I mean, somebody on the backside helping. No, it's just you an opponent, and you know, see if you can. But you also think, like any fights we've been in, like in real life, the ships is thirty seconds seconds exactly, so you're going around probably two minuty rounds probably, yeah, two minut rounds. It's your cardio, right bro. Most definitely
see on the Tour de France. What's your what's your fighting style? Like Tyson Furry, Mike Tyson Muhamma, I'm a I'm a little bit of Tyson Fury and Mike Tyson. I mean, I know you should have some Mike Tyson and you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm a you know, big feet, my feet. I think that's one of the most important things in boxing, right. Yeah, You've always had quick, light
feet up for your for your big frame. Yeah, so you know, moving around the ring and then you know when we get close up, I think it's a little bit different. They don't think how quick I am. So, you know, me and like Tyson in many ways, you know what I'm saying. That's dop cannabis business. We all in the canabis business, seven leagues, bolder counterculture talk about it well. Um I first started with Humble Exotics, Um their company and Humble and UM they kind of show
me the ropes, you know. Um. On my off season, I would go up the Humble and learn Um, you know everything about plants. You know, Um, what is it gonna take? You know the things that you know plants need, you know, in order to really be in the business. And then um, I've seen the opportunity here in New York and uh partner with you know, cana culture and now we just here and now I got you know, all types of strands, and we're working on stuff in
Buffalo with the illegal you know grow up there. That's you know, because you know New York is just on its way and you just gotta start playing those seeds early, early, early, early, and hopefully when the time will be ready, you know, all regulated and you know, in line ago, so we're already be in position. That's really the game. One college two thousand six SEC Player of the Year had a run to the final four for some badass school out
there on that West coast with light skinning kids. Uh, y'all at the tournament, Yeah, talk to us about college. I enjoyed watching because I was already in the league. But he was putting in work in college. Bro, I can't stand you, motherfucker's man. I really can't like if you think about that, Like I got a problem with John farmer and you know what I mean, we were supposed to beat them boys, but they were just so well coached. They were well they were so well coached,
and that was just a great experience. I think I was so caught up in the lights too, because you think four like they had, we was doing all type of promo, you know, your first types of the business. Yeah, like we're young kids. You know, we didn't. I think the lights were so big for us, and you know, we we didn't expect to get there, right, We knew we were good, you know what I mean, But we did achieve some crazy stuff in college and we you know,
lost to you guys. Best part of college for you God damn LSU unless shoot, they they showed a lot of love. You was at home, but they were still though, you know what I mean, Like I just missed the atmosphere because you know, college was a different College was like the pros from me. It was like a baby G League for me, you know what I mean. I had a lot of fun, Like you know, we're a football school, so it's like basketball. I was like, okay, like a surprise, you know, So you know, I had
some great fun. I had a lot of fun in college. I did my thing. People don't understand how crazy those football games be. Like you can hit the like the city like rumbles like miles away. You can hear rumbles on the ground like an earthquake from that stadium Bro Bro Saturday night and Tiger Stadium. Crazy as a basketball right, right?
That made me come to the school. Yeah right, because when I went on my visit, you know, I was right around the corner and I went, I've seen that, and then I see all the track girls in one sanction, and then I just seen all the joints. I had to stay. It's crazy, you know what I'm saying. Unless you handle you know, you know the provand the stream. I had to stay. So yeah, yeah, I dig it. Yeah, true or false? Back to basketball? Right, Housing Bye? Locked
you up in that game? Oh that's cap. I was about to say, Brom about to say, I know you ain't letting never Bryan Hollins and Moote know there's a double team. They still couln't do nothing when they came with me. Man, right now, it's still man, they can't do nothing. Draftics experience. What was it like getting traded with Ray Allen? It was cool because like I feel like, okay when they picked me, like okay, we want baby, give us baby, and then we do the deal, you
know what I mean. So I felt like I was a part of that deal, you know, coming over with Ray and and you know I was on a team like I was a rookie. For those who don't know who was on your team that year, man, I'm gonna start from the bottom. But year two thousand, two thousand and seven eight, Yeah, so we had like Scott Pollard, cool yeah, cool guy, barely played, great guy, good energy, you know what I mean. He was a pro. He was a pro, you know what I mean. But he
was there every day. P J. Brown, We had Eddie House, We had Leon Poe, We had James Posey, we had Tony Allen. You know, we had Rondo, Ray, Paul KG. Yeah the team. Nate wasn't on that the gay prew it was on that team. Um, I probably said Sam Caselle, Uh damn, who I'm missing. I'm missing Scalabrini, scal Brainy that game. A month later, KG gets traded from Minnesota. What's your initial thoughts? You know what, I'm gonna keep
you gangs, man, I wouldn't even my initial thoughts. I was just like, god, damn, I didn't expect it to be like that. Crazy. It's your first year. It's my first year. So it was like when he when he when he came, I didn't know what I was a part of until I like when I got there to the gym to play pick up. That's how I seemed like, Okay, this ship magical and not my partner. You've seen it right from the jump. Yeah, my first my first pickup game was it was amazing, like not amazing, but like
you know, scary but you know in the arena. But y'all got you know what I mean? Because KG. I was guarding KG at the time, and he like cussed me the funk out like I'm talking about really cuts me out. Like I shoot a shot right, it's my first day and I make it and I'm like telling myself like get get it up. I'm talking to myself. He like, who are you talking to? And I'm like, you know, I'm from Beyond, so you know, I'm like okay,
thinking to myself like okay, I need to respond. It's like jail, like you know, okay, Kayla, and nobody talking to you like that first day. So I'm like, I'm just trying to get my swag, you know. I just said to him politely, though, you know, I don't say nothing like I'm trying to get my swag, you know, because I try to give people like three strikes, you know what I mean. That was one. That was one for KG. I didn't want to give him one. But
I get to the second strike. I said, well, I'm trying to get my swag, and he's like, fuck your swag like loud, and I'm looking around like strike two. I gotta say something, and then you know, I say fuck your swack. He looking at like, yeah, okay. So because he's kind of seen that like that, Yeah he liked it, you know what I mean, but he kind of seen it. And I was just like, damn, I really said your swagz Like what first day is? I'm like, damn, Hopefully he don't he just leave it there and don't
bring it to themorrow. So I try to meet him at the waffle station, right because I feel like that next morning, yeah, that's the easiest place to talk to somebody in the station. Yeah, right when you're making your waffles in your waffles. Um, just syrup and butter. Keep yourself. Yeah no, no, no berries yea nah. So he you know, he likes his he likes his waffles, and he doesn't
say nothing to tell me why making his waffles. So, you know, you just somebody that's scary, Like I'm like, oh ship, while he's making a waffle, you know what I mean? And so you know, I I you know, he didn't say nothing to me the whole day. And then I was like, I'm gonna gonna talk to him. And I was like, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I thought we you know, left that over yesterday. I apologized. Man. Man, he he was like, you know what, young fella like
you man, it's all good, Bro, You're good. That's dope. I heard you guys had a great relationhip. How did you guys? Relationship kind of flourish after that? I was at taking university had today. I ain't graduate from no other school. Like I was his rook everything he did everything I was there, like every peanut, butter and jelly I made, like you know what I mean, like what kind of stuff it had? His purpose? Let me hear
what the how he's doing that. I want to hear some of the perks, like, for example, like one time, you're trying to take me shopping and you know, I'm I'm a good brook. I ain't gonna ask for nothing. I'm just sitting chilling. Like he's like get something. I'm like no, No, He's like to get something. Like I'm like damn. So he goes and put the scars on my neck. He put the scar Yeah, he'll scarf. It's flying. I'm like damn. He like, you know, And then he
taught me about scarves. They taught me about hats. You know what I'm saying. So that's like kind of stuff he did, you know what I mean, Like or like boo ray, you know, boo ray, right Ray. He'll stunt on everybody else, like if they got fifties in there, he'll give him to me because he don't like fifties. So I'm the Brook like, yeah, I got four thousand. It could be one. It used to be so bad, like we had like Perkins and Leon used to get mad.
We had a whole team meeting, like don't hanging hold with us, Perkins did that like, oh man, ticket this real story. We had the whole team meet. Perk like you always hanging out with baby. You see his face just stun you know what I'm saying, Like, that's how much our relationship was, like was tight. We were tight as hells. So you know that me and me and him we got I got so much like just crazy ship with him. Man, It's crazy. Do people not appreciate
how good Paul Pierce was on the court today? No, they don't know for sure, I agree with you. I don't. I don't think they do because and you know that's Paul's fault too. Rite as you know we you can tell as Paul he had the tools, but he didn't do his part in ways because he is great killing. I've watched Paul all drink Foe bottles of wine and go for forty. I believe it. I believe I'm talking about.
I'm talking about no problem. Like watch this baby talking to me the pick no, watch out, slice whole, watch out ye baby, Like Like that's how great he was that, you know what I mean? And you know, just to be here to watch that, you know what I mean, and at the same time see the game and see other people like that that you know, Lebron versus Paul game Paul was like was right there looking at Lebron like every play like you know what I mean. So people don't appreciate him much as as much as um
as I do. For sure. For sure, ray Allen, I mean, this is your first year and you have all these Hall of Famers right in your face. Bro. Ray Allen was special too, because he's fucking Jesus shut us with Jesus shut les worst like you like you know that was me, you know what I mean. When I met him, I was asking questions like that, like did you really have sex on the first book? Like didn't when he was walking away your cav for the Biggest Hill, like you know what I mean, this little ship I had
like as a kid, you know what I mean. And then when I came to see him, like he was just totally different as his character. You know, he's a nerd.
He really nice guy, you know what I mean, play golf you know always, you know, tell me watch my calories and stuff like you know, and he was that type of guy you know we had, you know, I dealt with Raying a whole different aspect, like you know what I mean, Like he was, you know, just how you tire your tie, you know what I mean, Like, yeah, Ray was Ray was a different guy, you know, watching him getting up and go shoot before every and full
out sweats like workouts, like watching him do that because I was making peanut butter and jellies early, so I would watch him him like dail like and he's really shooting, running and he was a real professional for sure, for sure. Oh seven o eight, you went sixt or six games the rookie year. How was that just to start your
career off. I'm going to write a book about this too, because I was a rookie and just that aspect of watching and learning basketball and just seeing everything for the first time at the highest level, at the highest level, that's crazy. And during that time, right we went to Texas and we beat Dallas Houston at the time and
San Antonio, who was really really good. And that's when I got to see, like, yo, we some this ship is crazy, you know what I mean, Like being there and experiencing that and just watching good basketball from the rip. I was spoiled, you know what I mean. I was
super super spoiled. But it was a wonderful thing, man, because like when I look at it and like you know, you got Ray winning games, you got all winning games, got KG winning games, and then those little pieces of James Posey and Kendrick Perkins and Eddie House at moments Rondo like it's a book. Like it's crazy to see that.
You know, the fights between Doc and Rondo. Motherfucker's get in Detroit, Tan down like you know what I mean, like over you know basketball like you know, so I'm just a passion of the game, like I've seen a lot. So it was a great experience, you know, seeing that those wins. You had a member playoffs run, y'all beat Atlanta in seven Cleveland and seven in Detroit and six.
Any memories from that run before y'all get to the finals. Man, all I remember is Atlanta was a biggest magic city when we was down there, you know what I mean, I'm talking about the crowd won a couple of games for them boys, I swear to God because they took a seven. And then they had great players like Joe Johnson. You know, they had young guys like Josh Smith and Horford. You know, those guys were a big upside and crazy stuff like that, and it was just cracking. It was
just women in the stands. It was magical. Man, I'm talking about you see celebrities everywhere, Like that whole series was magical, you know. You know, I feel like the easiest game was the Lakers. We took tis like you know what I mean, went to the war memories of Lebron. He averaged twenty seven, eight and six against you in the playoffs. Motherfucker's just a dog, a young dog, like you know what I'm saying. Like to watch him, he was a young dog, but like we gave him pressure points.
You see him bust, you know, because with Lebron, you gotta make that motherfucker see five every time you got lone and see five, you know what I'm saying. So watching him in the beginning of his journey, you know what I mean, it was just magical too, you know what I mean. And it's good that I can have my opinion. Who's you know, Jordan or Braun, you know
what I mean. Like and to see Braun, you know what I mean, it's just like I want I played again Broad You know, he's special, you know what I mean. So one of the time, you know, I like, I love Braun. B Bron is a great guy. I love what he's doing. You know, It's just it was just crazy to guard that motherfucker. He'd be crying, though, don't worry. He'd be crying, but he'd be playing hard. But he's
still be crying. So you get through the East, you match up against Kobe and the Lakers in the finals, you're still a rookie. As it has, it kind of clicked in, like, yo, I'm in the motherfucking finals, one year removed from l s U like this is great and didn't hit me. Yeah, so I think that. I think the media day, I've seen all the media out then I was just like, god, damn, that ship's crazy. I'm like, bro, we're really in the finals. I'm from bat Roue, Louisiana. I people don't expect me to be
in the finals. And I have had your own section, you know. It's like everybody had their own section of the media. Yeah, hell of experience. I really really didn't understand until you know, I got my ring m H. When I walked, I was just like, no, champagne, really all the champagne. It was crazy. I was wild and like that's when I was just like what the fuck, Like I want to ring ship. So it's a great experience man, going up up to against Kobe in the finals.
Any good stories or memories of ship he was doing, it was he was just run the way he you know, First of all, I was geeked out that didn't even know my name. I was like, when he said, what's up, big baby? I fucking damn their fainting. I was like, God, damn, Kobe know me? You know what we know? Everybody played against that's crazy. I didn't even knew he knew my name. So playing against him was great, man, because he's just
a competitor, you know what I mean. Like, I think the most special part about him is when I heard when I was guarding paula sault, like I couldn't translate the Yeah. I'm like, bro, you really speaking that ship? That's unfair, you know what I mean. Like I'm talking, I'm like, Paul, what do you say? He's like, you know, just bullshit me. But you know, he was a special player, man, He's a super super special player. And I was, you know,
glad to play against him. You know. So you win a championship, people pouring champagne in your mouth, You win a ring, you win a ring. What was that? What was the party? Like? Who went hard? Where you did you go the hardest? Let y'all all went hard hard? Y'all go Vegas, Vegas. You know how we do the parade and everybody takes their shirt off? Right? I started that, did you? Yeah? Okay? I was a rookie. Okay, you go look on the float. I'm the only one with
my shirt off. Jrsh manly shirt off. Kyrie Irvan got his shirt off. Of all these boys got their shirt on when they win the ring. But she was the first month, okay, So you know, so you know, people on the internet are about to go scour the last years the championships and see if anyone else had their shirt off. You stand on that. I stand on that. Baby started that ship. I started that shirt off. Titty's out all that drinking enjoying lot. Yeah. I wasn't drinking though, Okay, smoking,
ok okay, then not mad at that. Even I don't do alcohol. I'm do we Okay, I ain't mad at that. So you guys had a great time reflect on your time as a Celtic, you know, being drafted to historical franchise, winning the championship, your very first year the cast of characters, you had the aura of Boston. What was that run like for you? I don't know, but how can I
put this? Like like the Beatles? Right, We was like the Beatles, especially in Boston, you know what I mean, Like everywhere we went and game, you knows, every time we came out of a building, it was so you know, there's somebody waiting for Ray, Paul and Kge. You. You know, I never paid for a meal eight for three for thebout three years. Your money is no good here, baby, Yeah, money is no good here. And uh you know just
the people. I mean, you still gotta love you telling us either now, like you're going to Boston after we're done to go do some stuff around the final Yeah yeah, yeah, I still got you know, you win a championship up, there's like love like coming out with a restaurant, big baby barbecue, you know what I mean. I got my old barbecue sauces in restaurants in Boston. So that's big. That's just you know, just Boston got a lot of love,
you know. Absolutely. You spent two years as a clip of two thousand fourteen, two thousand fifteen, two thousand and fourteen, there was a playoff collapse against Okay. See talk about that? Oh gets the Rockets. I mean we had two big laps. Are you there? Yeah? I was there both Okay and Houston. God damn, what happened? Bro? We had a good team. Like what happened? If I've talked I've talked to j J, I've talked to Jamal. What do you think happened on? We talked to CP. What do you think happen on?
Those things? Are those Love City teams? Oh? My god. First of all, I'm gonna start with the coach, and that was the president at the time, Doc, Doc, I think it started with him, which is holding everybody accountable, especially your stars, you know what I mean. I think he did some really really crazy things. You know what I mean. I love Spencer Halls, like you know, he he just did a lot of things. He he tried to He first of all, he tried to create Boston Again.
I feel like, you know, and these guys wouldn't those guys right, you know what, You're expecting them to be those great players, they're not. So you gotta handle these other guys different, you know what I mean? And and I just think he lost us. You know, he had a lot of hats although he was what president coach and right, he lost us at the time, and you know, and then now when you lose you know, the communication with your head coached and now all there's questions and
things with your players. Now your players not saying you're not getting your players on one accord, you know, really making them sit down and talk, like really making them like, yo, let's get this ship done. Um. I don't think he did that. And then you know, we didn't respond, you know in ways, you know, because now our leader is miscommunications with you know, getting the messages out from the coach. So now there's just so much misdirection and just you know,
crazy ship going on and just sucking blew up. Our ship was all internal though, yeah, it was all in talent wise. Teams couldn't funk with us. Talent wise. Everything was internal, you know, and I think our coach, you know, could have did a little bit more to get us together. I just kind of felt like there was always friction, whether spoken unspoken amongst our stars. Yeah, always always, And he didn't step in and say, hey, what the fund is going on? Like wait, what's going on? DeAndre, what's
going on? Why we can't like what's going on? How do we get this done? And you know, I think because he's such an old coach and he's like, oh, you gotta police yourselves, and you know, I'm gonna leave it up to you guys, you know, And I just think, you know, sometimes you know, he's a different group of people. You know, you gotta give them different leadership. You know, you've gotta be versatile as a leader to especially as generations change. And I think he didn't do that. What
was What was Matt like as a teammate. Oh he was dope. I fun with that. I really fucked with team. I played together in the right. Yeah. I was in his phone majority of the time because I sat behind him every you know what I mean. So I knew everything he had going on nations and yeah, I was reading all his text. He don't even know that he saw the laundry list. Yeah yeah, man, man, you had you had a good run, my boy. I'm proud of you. Why ship, No, it was good. Baby was man. But
like I said, Baby was cool. Man always kept You know how important it is if when you're serious or good, you still gotta keep the mood light and Baby always did that. He would flash sometimes to get mad at motherfucker's or take your shirt off in the plane and gamble. We have some crazy gambling on the plane. Yeah, it was, it was. It was real deal, Holy fields on. I had to come back with like ahold of when I
got traded from the Clippers to Memphis. The first time I came back to l A. I had a whole lot of cashier's checks with a whole lot of money. Still old niggas, man, So I still you're not getting named Like no, that's in my pocket. So basketball comes to an end. You get a championship in the Big Three? How was that experience? That was cool? You know what I mean? I just you know, you know, I think I s c for the opportunity, given the platform for
us to play, you know what I mean. But you know, my bad man, I got um you know what I mean? And you know I can watch now that's the old rules, like yeah that I gotta play real hard out there. Yeah, I ain't trying to do all that life after basketball. I mean, I always thought you was a character, and I don't mean that in a bad way, but you've got yourself into acting? How did that happen? Yes, you know it. I've started acting because of comedy. Right, you
can stand up as well, just stand up comedy. And so I was doing a comedy show in l A And a woman who just casting came to me and she booked my first job with Shameless. And so after Shameless, which was a great role and just a great opportunity. That show does so well. Um, I got another opportunity with another show called Benched. It's another lawyer. It's a lawyer show. And then I got a you know, more
opportunity with the Lincoln Lawyer. I've seen babies. Ask Gamble, I says that big baby, don't give you the lines? I would say, would it give you some lines? Gave me a couple of lines. They gave a couple of lines. Some more lines on that. But you know, just that little part booked me another gig for Power. So it's just like that Power. Yeah, talk to us about that. Oh man. When I got the phone calls like what the block? So when you got a phone call from who, well,
I got a call from the writer. But I was at an event and I you know told fifty like yo, you know act. I was like, I'm on Shameless and you know, and he's just seen me on the Lincoln Lawyer, so you know, he called me up with the writer, you know what I mean talking to the writer, you know, and it's like, Bro, we got you. You know you're gonna you know, you're gonna be a charactering on power. Yeah, congratulations. You know I might killer cold Fever. Shoot yeah, yeah,
I love it. So it's a blessing man, Like it's a really really true blessing man, because you know, I was a theater major in college. A lot of people don't know. I didn't know that that I love theater, and you know, entertainment is my thing. So to really do what I love again is we had a little Meat and Wood Harrison and they talked about just how dope fifty is with opening doors and giving fifth We need you, Bro, and Jack is an actor to Bro the man man see me in the club and I'm
gonna do it. And he did it like real momfucker man, Yeah, shout out fifth Man. That's killing it, Bro. They killing absolutely. What's been the best part of life after basketball, man, The best part is kind of coming back down to earth. M hmmm. Because as an athlete, we're were up there. We've got people doing everything for us. We've got people filing our papers, We've got people putting money in our account,
we got people sending us things every day. And now I have to come back down the earth and be able to function, you know, like just a little somewhat on my own, you know what I mean, because you know you can't pay you financial vis all that money at the emotional say, brother, I gotta gotta got fired. You got can't, you know, so things gotta you know,
you gotta evolved now. And you know, as an athlete, you know, that's one thing I would say to athletes is to keep evolving as you're playing and you know you're you're above, but you're still on the ground, you know. So just coming down back to earth and being able to blend in, which is really hard, you know. Yeah, But as an athlete, a lot of athletes get law austin. You know, like I said, they get lost in their
seven They don't know how to treat people. But if you treat people the same way that you want to be treated, at the end of your career, you never know who's gonna call you far you know what I mean, And that's that's basically what happened to me. You know, I mean a lot of people didn't talk to Rachel Nichols after the game. A lot of people just walked by, But I stood and talked to him. When she first got DSPN. I'm one of the first people she called to host the show. So it's all about how you
treat people. Man, you never know who you're gonna see going up. You might see them same people going down. You plus four on the black top, you plus four? Who you're bringing? Who I'm bringing on the black top? You might have to fight, you might have to play basketball. I ain't no telling what you might have to do out there. So who you're bringing, Ah, I gotta bring some scrappers blacktop. You never know. Just to know that I don't gotta look over my shoulder. Yeah, this is
a couple of players. Man. First of all, I gotta go get big ticket. He's scrapping. I don't gotta worry about him. On the other side, he now he gonna hold his own. He gonna hold his own. I need a PG for show. I'm gonna have to go rondo because he got me paid. He used to. He used to beg me to shoot and he fights too, and he'll fight you, no question, Rod for show for show. Damn, man, I need no needs some scoring. M heeds scoring. I need to score. God, damn, these are people I play with, right,
anybody I need to score? Damn, that's hard. I'm gonna have to put Paul on there. You know what I'm saying, gonna get your bucket. He's gonna go get you a bucket. U, There's not a question about that. He's gonna get you a bucket. Goddamn. Just take the whole Boston score bro and throw t a and then y'all basically what you're doing anyway. Yeah, man, I don't really funk with nobody else how you're slowly getting to the Boston start calling. Really, I can't fun with Shot because I was gonna put
Shack on there. But I can't funk with him because two thousand and ten he acted like his toe was her and he didn't want to play against the Lakers. Mm hmmm, yeah, yeah, anybody know that? Though? Huh, how you told keep you out of the funals. You can't give us ten minutes, man, what's your toe? Your toe broke? That was advanced too, because y'all beat him in eight. Kobe said that was the hardest defeat of his career. And and Shaq didn't play. Perk was hurt, and Shaq
toad was messed up. I don't know, because I've seen him swimming the next day in the pool, palling his feet and doing all that. Told raises. So Shack, I'm on your grass. I remember. I still love you. Don't think you ain't playing against the Lakers when we was in that finals. Motherfucker you thank you, Thank you, Slick. I still want to who they had legas had her got hurt two thousands. Shack was on that team. He was in the locker room because I remember he was
just like, oh man, oh my my bad man. As my fund guys like, yeah, you should have played big motherfucker because Doc didn't play young players. You know, I played good, right game for me and they slow. But Doc really goes with the veterans. So we'd have had Shack. We'd have got men outside of him. Even though you heard one game when you're ring man, the most embarrassing moment of your career. Oh no, man, I asked some embarrassing moments, like a couple love them, you know, I said,
suck my dick. I was right next to the radio and then like the national ready or heard everything. Everybody trying. But yeah, that was bad. Now when I when I got mad on the bench, I cried. I was just mad. He was known for crying. Yeah, I was mad, big soft teddy bear crying, motherfucker. Yeah. I can't hold much in. I don't know why. It's just's coming out of my eyes. But I don't know, man, I had I had some crazy ship bro, I don't know travel arge. I had
all cop type. I'm crazy. Man. You have some good stories. You're you're creating your own concert. Three artists or groups that you would have at your concert. I gotta go with Boosey. That's just my inner ratchetness. Yeah, I was boring off that raised that. So I gotta I gotta go get Bull, you know, I gotta get my baby big Liz out. You know, I want to see you before baby, and after that, I would have to say, I want the hot boys to come back. What time I grew up off that, you know what I mean?
That was my first concert. It's hot you know what I mean. I Wayne the boy. Yeah, the hot boys. I want them back. But that's it. One actor or actress you would love to work with. Give us an actor and actress one. So now you're in my field. So I can't just get y'all know you know what I mean? This is real ship here. I love Robert Townsend, Um Hollywood Shop all that classic you know. I feel like I was stinky Dinky dog. Yes, I love him
and can't remake that movie anyway. You can't remake I thought about remaking that movie, but you can't remake that movie. It was a break in the movies. Yeh man, that was so funny. Robert town is the person I would love to be around. Acts. You know, ass and the actresses cadle so many, there's so many of them. Man. I'm a big fan of Angela Bassett, so of course strong. You know what I mean, I can't go wrong Strong, you know what I mean. Like, she's just awesome. I
love her. You know, Kerry Washington, I like her too. I was on the plane next to her. She's pretty cool. I want like hang out with her. Five dinner guests that are alive? You plus five who you who are you having at your table? Gonna get Bernie Mack out the grave, pull him up. I gotta laugh, facts, gotta laugh. I gotta have some sexy bad at the table. Must so I'm gonna go get Big Lizz. Oh yeah, I ain't even gonna lie. I know I'm gonna have fun at I eat good time. She's gonna feed me, she
a fee me. Now, I gotta go with actor because I want to talk talk to story. Okay, he looked like I can learn something from him, because you think father figures. I'd love to sit with him at the table. That's three right, two more, I need two more. I'm gonna go get. I'm gonna go get a big ticket because he got hell of stories. He's gonna talk all day. You know the energy too. Yeah, he paying for the chap.
Big felt always somehow to pay for the town. I don't know how he doing, just just a magician, like, oh, he paid for it already. I picked him. He's funny. The last one picked somebody who inspired you? Who inspire me? That's not a live that's not a lie. That's that's super super tough. When I think about somebody that's not a lie and I, you know, think that I would learn so much from Damn might have had to go with Martin Luther King. I think he was had a
great balance, you know what I mean. And then also what he stood for. It was just so magical and strong too. It's it's it's it's immortality in a way he was at this time, you know what I'm saying. So and just what he lived for, you know what I mean. He was a player too, saying he was a player too, you know what I mean, like real real, you know what I'm saying. Players, So like I just like that versatility that he had as an individual and what he did you know, for us, you know what
I mean. And he ain't lame, I don't think. I don't think he hed cool like you know what I'm saying, Like you know what I mean. So I think I think Martin with the King would be definitely that guy. If you can have one guest on All the Smoke, who would it be? But but before you answer that question, but you have to help us get your answer on the show. Well, you know what I'll be looking at y'all show a lot and I see your audience. You guys are strong in the men department, especially at a
certain age. Um, I think the women, Okay, I think you guys gotta somehow, somehow figure out get women in here. O. Um, what should we start with a real housewife or something. No, we're not doing that. We're not doing I honestly think it's a great We're not doing that. Bro, have you watched him basketball? I promise you I haven't. You can go to the Potomac and go get um Wan Dixon's wife.
She watches basketball. Jin Shaw from Salt Lake City. That's my friends, she watches basketball's my friend Barlow, all them girls. I'm not above it. I think you should go get some housewives. It's a different audience, it's and it makes you guys a little vulnerable. You guys are too tough up here because they're too tough. When we've had Jamale Hill, we had Carrie Champion, we had Jenny Buss. So we've had some I'm talking about Lane. We gotta go get Crockers.
We gotta go get some real stewarts. Yeah, we gotta go. We gotta go to the other side of the present that y'all up here with the men and the women over here, y'all. I'm not bad. I'm not mad at the numbers. Baby. We appreciate we we we've had more men, but the women we've had on here are some quality, powerful women, indeed, no question. Yeah yeah yeah, so I think I think we were rather to go for quality, powerful women than abundance of women. Yeah yeah, well, you know,
I just love Bravo. They're strong over you know, baby, Chris the chin on the show. Hey, baby, that's what we need on the show. That's a good call. Shout out Chris. That's to holmie babies over here, to giving an audition for Bravo. That's all he was just doing. I just love Bravo. I like what they're doing, Like Andy, I like, you know, like I'm just saying like I you know, I think you know you guys to go go over there. And I'm mad at that, bro, I'm not mad at that. We got a gift for you, bro.
We appreciate you and love Yeah damn four twins man. I thought up. Man, I appreciate Jack. Where can they get that at all? The smoke dot store you can go and get you something might not look as good as on you that as you do us. But you can still try well, baby, man. We appreciate you. Best to luck man.
