Sometimes in life, we are presented with circumstances that we don't understand.  It becomes easy to fall into routines, habits, and behaviors that no longer serve us - or that are unhealthy coping mechanisms.  "There is no room for laziness.  Your body and mouth must be clean, you must be in a good frame of mind, and you cannot have uttered or done profane things."
