Episode description

Have you ever wondered why you do the things you do? Why do you get so angry when your kids aren't listening to you? Why is it so hard to relax when the house is a mess?!

Here's what's going on - as a child, whenever an experience overwhelmed our nervous system, we subconsciously built defenses against that overwhelm.

Over time, those defenses become a habit, and then they become a pattern. Now as an adult, what we think of as our personality, is often this defense pattern running the show. So interesting, right?!

Today I’m coaching on the 5 Personality Patterns - Leaving, Merging, Enduring, Aggressive, & Rigid - and I'm going to explain how each Pattern originates in childhood.  I also coach on how each Pattern usually shows up so you can learn which Pattern you tend to go into when you're stressed or overwhelmed.
