¶ Welcome to the Story and Playtime
Hello there. Welcome to Albert's Bookshelf. I'm Albert's Dad. Now Albert loves listening to a story. Would you like me to read one of his favourite books? Okay, well, get yourself comfy, and I'll begin. Pip and Posey The Bedtime Frog By Camilla Reed and Axel Scheffler Posey was going to stay at Pittsown. She packed up her suitcase very carefully. She didn't want to forget anything. Then she got on the bus. She was very excited. Pitt was really happy to see Posey.
Posy he called. Hello, Pip, giggled Posey. Pip and Posey had lots of fun. They played with Pip's car. They played with the farm and then they played a game called Pirates in Holland. They ate spaghetti. It had a bubbly bath. They brushed their teeth and they read a funny story.
¶ Bedtime Woes and A Lost Toy
After that. For bed. said Pitt, as he cuddled up with his pig. Sweet dreams, Pip, said Posey. They switched off their lights. Pip was very nearly asleep when he heard a voice. Froggy, said the voice. It was Posey. I've forgotten Froggy. he sniffed. I can't sleep without my froggy. Pip turned his light back on again. Would you like this teddy posy? Posey did not want Pip's teddy. It's not she said. My frog is green.
Would you like my dinosaur pit? He's green. No That dinosaur is too big and too scary. What about my frog money box? said Pip. No, said Posey. Rolls Frog. Posey cried and cried and cried. Oh dear.
¶ Pip's Kind Solution and Farewell
Or posy. Pip thought for a moment. Then he did a very different Would you like piggy posy? Posey, stop crying. Piggy was an extremely nice pig. Yes, please, Pip, she said. Pip was asleep. And the next day, when Posey went home to her house, she She found her frog exactly where she had left him. Hooray!
