Hello there and welcome to Albert's Bookshelf. I'm Albert's dad. Now Albert loves listening to a story. Would you like me to read one of his favourite books? Okay, well, get yourself comfy, and I'll begin. Now this particular book is a very special release to celebrate International Women's Day. So everybody here at Albert Bookshelf just wanted to say a huge happy International Women's Day. Girls can do anything by Carol Hart and Allie Pye.

Girls come in all different colours and sizes. They delight and amaze us. They're full of surprises. Girls can do anything they want to do. And if you are a girl, Do these things too. Girls can have long hair or short hair in spikes. Girls can ride scooters and skateboards and bikes. Girls can wear trousers or board shorts or dresses. Girls can be neat. or make wonderful messes. Girls can be scruffy or muddy and smelly. Girls can be fancy, like people on tell. But one thing is true.

There's no other good. planet like you. Girls can play basketball, football or catch. Or score lots of goals in an ice hockey match. Girls can climb mountains and other high places. All sorts of races. Girls are not going to be able to do that. Amazing. I'm a girl. I'm fantastic. I'm strong. Yeah. Some girls like numbers and some prefer numbers. Some girls find science or music Some girls are whizzy with pom pom. But all go on.
