Al Husayni Al Azazi also spelled Al Husayni Al Azazy or Al Husaini Al Azzazy is a prominent Quran reciter from Egypt, born in 1956. He has dedicated many years to the study of the Holy Quran and its various recitation sciences. He primarily recites in the Hafs ‘an Asim narration. Digital Quranic archives feature extensive recordings of his complete Quranic recitations and individual surahs. His recitation style is generally described as clear and impactful, conveying a deep spiritual experience. Al Husayni Al Azazi is particularly well-known for his role in Quranic education for children. He has released recordings specifically designed for teaching children to recite the Quran, often in a “repeat after the Qari” format. In these recordings, he recites verses, and then children are heard repeating them, making it an effective method for memorization and proper pronunciation for young learners. He has served as an Imam and preacher in various mosques in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and has also judged several Quran reading competitions.
