Episode description

Our population in the UK is ageing - in 2022, people aged 65 or over were 19% of the population - and according to the ONS, that figure is rising. Older people want to live independently for as long as possible and artificial intelligence might help them do exactly that. Not only that, AI could also improve the lives of children in care. In this episode, Stephen McGann explores how AI could change the way society looks after its most vulnerable members - and the barriers and risks that could stand in the way.
