Episode description

Business/Motivation Fact: Walt Disney: Today Disney rakes in billions from merchandise, movies and theme parks around the world, but Walt Disney himself had a bit of a rough start. He was fired by a newspaper editor because, “he lacked imagination and had no good ideas.” After that, Disney started a number of businesses that didn’t last too long and ended with bankruptcy and failure. He kept plugging along, however, and eventually found a recipe for success that worked.

Business owner mindset

Jake owning Sausage King i’d tell my employees they worked for me when they asked why they had to do something. This was the wrong mindset.

The approach of “What can i do to better help you complete your task?” eventually helped the business thrive.

Owners work for their employees. You must work to train and better each and every one.

Your job is never done. You must always be selling your vision.

Nobody is to blame when something goes wrong besides yourself. Once you take this to heart your business will expand at an even faster rate.
