Episode description

Episode 3 of this season's After Hours saw us get a chance to learn from a dawah legend in the Americas, Dr. Abdullah Hakim Quick. The discussion touches on the importance of Ummah-centric thinking, travel as a tool of learning, and the value of nasab, or lineage. Dr. Quick also gives his opinion on the top 5 most important Islamic personalities every Muslim should know (excluding the Prophet ﷺ, the Sahaba, and the Salaf)!

Shaykh Abdullah is a historian and instructor at AlMaghrib Institute. He is the first American to graduate from Madinah University in 1979. He holds masters and Ph.D. degrees in African History from the University of Toronto.
