#160: Want to host great interviews and not embarrass yourself?

After 200+ interviews, I've learned a few things. Today, I'm sharing my top tips for hosting incredible podcast interviews.

1. Research
   1. Read book
   2. Listen to their podcast
   3. Listen to a show they guested on
   4. Review their website and socials
2. Use the right equipment
   1. Mic, lighting
   2. Calendly

3. Prepare them
   1. List of potential questions
   2. Educate them with a webpage
   3. Don’t overwhelm with info
   4. Format clarity - video, audio, live
4. Have an outline, but don’t be scripted
5. PreInterview
   1. Confirm duration
   2. Confirm topics
6. During session
   1. Active Listening
   2. Be curious
   3. Keep on point
   4. Jot brief notes
