Bread of life. Read by Megan skein. I'm the living bread that came down from heaven, John 6 51. During a south Queensland youth rush program. Naomi I prayed for a divine appointment where she could share a copy of Bible answers with someone. Later that day, she saw a young man exiting his youth and decided to canvas him. He was interested in buying a couple of health books. As Naomi conversed with him, she found out that he was 18 years old and an award-winning baker.
She longed to give him a spiritual book that would lead him to the bread of life and prayed that he would give a generous donation so that she could give him an extra book. Although he did give a substantial donation. He said that he didn't want anything extra. Naomi was determined that he leave with something spiritual. So she showed him a copy of the great controversy, expecting him to be hesitant. Instead. He shocked her when he told her, I've just been thinking about this kind of thing.
The other day, I visited a cafe near work And there was a book on Bible prophecy there. I started reading it and then went back the next day to finish it. I've been looking at the signs of Jesus's return. Naomi remembered her morning prayer and showed him the Bible answers book, telling him that it explained Bible prophecy in a simple manner. He was very happy to receive both the great controversy and Bible answers saying, this is exactly what I needed at the right time.
And it came to me at my doorstep. I didn't know where to get it, but he came to me. Good surely used literature ministry to lay this 18 year old baker to the bread of life.
This year literature ministry celebrates 175 years. This month's devotional readings come from stories of faith edited by Vanya Chu and produced by the literature ministries department of the seventh day Adventist church in the south Pacific division.
