Episode description

The name of the race is the 2,370 meter high 7700 foot mountain Tschirgant, if you stop at the local McDonalds or the fill your car at the Shell station…. Mountains, however, are anything but symmetrical. Their inherent asymmetry — jagged edges, undulating ridge-lines, and steep pitches — is the very result of continuous stress throughout their development, including earthquakes, monsoons, and other natural disasters. If mountains were humans, they’d be disfigured and malformed, the oldest, most battered of us all.

Now I am not sure, but could it be that mountains have such a effect on us because they are big and remind us that we are small?
