In today's episode, Andrea dives deep into Step 4 of the ACA program - "Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves." We discuss (and by we, I mean ME!) the purpose, the process, the key areas of focus (shame, abandonment, resentment, harm, and trauma) and what it means to take a blameless inventory. We also discuss how an ACA 4th step differs from a 4th step in AA/NA, as well as the limitations of the 12-steps in addressing unprocessed trauma.
