Episode description

In this episode, Michelle Deng and Rose-Eva Forgues-Jenkins talk with the director of the University of Alberta Sexual Assault Centre, Samantha Pearson. Also in this conversation, we hear from members of No Cops On Campus, Shima Robinson and Kendra Cowley.

We explore dimensions of how the current judicial and police systems often fail to center the needs and well-being of survivors-victims of sexual violence. Additionally, how we can imagine and create alternative ways, of keeping each other safe and accountable, sans cops and colonial systems of 'justice.'
