Hey guys, this is Amy. Lyndon I started this podcast for you because I am here to help Empower you because you are enough. I am here to help you get to the next level in your career. And most of the times, it has everything to do with what you think about yourself. I am a booking coach celebrity booking coach 54, plus Network, series regulars, and Emmy winner and image in Winter.

And thousands of people working around the globe, all because of this technique that I created, I really want to help you. So I do believe that if you keep listening, you might pick up some gem that I am dropping down and it will change the course of your entire career. I want to talk to you guys about Behavior, you know, as an actor it's really really important that you guys Get out and study other people's behavior.

You know, I came from Meisner as a child, I studied at the playhouse when I was 16 and 17 and studied Miser when I came out to Los Angeles and my husband is all about emotions, exchanging emotions and behavior, creating using your imagination to create your environment. As actors, it's so important that you watch people. But if you're always concerned about how you're going to pay your rent or what you going to do for your next audition and you never really go out. Just look at people.

How are you going to be a mirror to life? Because if being an actor is you being a marital life, how much time are you spending on them? Yes, I asked you guys to watch a lot of Television because, you know, you're not going to book television. If you're not understanding it or you're not on television to get the tone in the style, but even more. So how are we ever going to really see who you are in a complex character world?

If you don't understand the complexities of behavior, The way people are, you could start with yourself. How do you behave? you know, when we get into fights, our body does different things. When we laughing, our body does different things. When we watch how people interact in and there's a disagreement of sorts. Their body does different

things. You're supposed to be being that person in its entirety, because that's your job is to fully take on who that person is. And so, if you are not fully understanding where that person lives in every molecule of your body, then I can't fully guarantee a booking There's a way that you get a booking. and you have hardly any credits is, if you're so incredibly, brilliant, That they have to go with you or they have to give you something else, but they

have to work with you. In order for somebody to have to work with you, they have to find you interesting. An interesting comes from more than a two dimensional. Look or to defend dimensional feeling interesting comes from depth of feel and understanding The Human Condition. So when you were out and about how we understand The Human Condition and who the person is it comes very clear by their body language. It comes becomes very clear in how they even get out of their car.

You know, we talked about Jared Leto and House of Gucci. And the reason why I talk about him so much is because his body language of when he got out of the car, in the car, how he walked around, how he stood How he dealt with different people and how his body language changed with each person that he dealt with and even his vocal. Was genius. How they overlooked in they're just stupid. I just don't, can't believe that they look overlooked him.

But that's what made him so interesting to watch like I couldn't wait till he was on screen again. So, how do you understand this conversation? If you watch any of our great character actors their body language changes completely based on the character that they're playing. And a lot of you who are starting in frame when you're seeing starts and it's clear that the person was running or something and they ran it's like why aren't you paying attention to what the condition is?

When the scene starts the emotional condition of the character When the scene starts. if you're not starting at zero, you're starting at 90%. Plus, I used to do experimental theater and they have this rehearsal in Downtown LA. And, you know, I was scared to go down there by myself and they, of course, were rehearsing. Probably one of the worst areas possible. I mean it was gated and stuff, but I was like in my car, in this homeless person comes up to the car window and knocks on it.

So my first reaction is oh shit, I'm really scared, you know. What do they want from me? Are they gonna do something to me? And I rolled down the window just a little bit, you know. So what is my body? Like, I like this because I'm all 10 stuff. What is my body like? And I'm like, yeah. It says, could I have money for a burrito I said, okay, so I gave him two dollars and he says, And he and he, and I close the window when he knocks on it again, really hard.

And like the fuck does he want now. And now I'm really scared. I open it up a little and he goes britos, two dollars and forty cents. Okay, so I laughed, I laughed, I laughed because of my behavior, my behavior to this person, just because they looked a certain way and their, and their energy was a little dark and whatever, what have you I reacted a certain way. And then, of course, my third part of my scene was laughing, And myself because I'm such a freaking idiot for a leak.

Like, what? But there was the beginning middle and end. You know, and he thanked me and God gave him an extra dollar, anything me and he walked away. And as he was walking away and watching him and it's like SMH shake my head and just like, smiling at myself going. What is wrong with you? Do you have such an excused view of the world, you know, ya know, there's always a beginning middle and end to every story. Everybody wants to play the juicy fun. Ending, you know, That's not the

journey. Your job is to take us on a journey through your imagination. And, you know, as most of, you know, I studied with Stella Adler, like with her, I didn't like her very much, but I learned a lot, but her big thing was, don't shower in your shower because you're only limited by your own experience of your shower. We only use such a small fraction of our imagination and it's because of our imagination. That brings us to places where we never thought we would go.

Like, like I imagined when I saw that person. First, I was shocked, you know, and like getting ready to get out, get out of a car. And all of a sudden here, knock knock knock. So you know so that's the opening of my scene actually the opening is I got it. I'm rushed And then transition to shock. But my imagination is what put me there. So when when you guys are actively listening to the other person, where's your imagination going?

And what is your body doing with that emotion with how you are receiving? What is coming at you? Because then you are actively there. In Body Mind and Spirit. And if that's the case, then you'll never play the engine of the scene at the beginning. Because that's not how it's going. Hey guys, thank you so much for listening.

I so appreciate it. So if you really believe your enough and you will click that button and you will go to the store and get involved, I can lead a horse to water but I can't make them drink.
